IVF September/October 2021 cycle

I am just starting a new thread in case anyone else is falling into the September/October timings...I have been in other threads which have been so so supportive and a bit of a godsend really, but I'm a bit behind where everyone is up to.

I had a failed cycle in June unfortunately and didn't respond as they expected. Then was supposed to start again in august but unfortunately they saw a cyst on one of my ovaries so have delayed the next cycle to September (I think my stims will fall into October as they'll put me on norithisterone).

Had my scan today all good so egg collection on Wednesday!

@pkp11 @Reefy thank you...I spoke to the nurses and they said it sounds quite normal from what I described but if the bleeding and cramps got worse to get back in touch. So far the bleeding is still there but not any worse and cramps have subsided a bit.

@pkp11 thank you so much. Unfortunately I'm still bleeding, still in pain...I'm not sure the pain should really be like this so I'm going to ring the clinic tomorrow. I think I know what the test will say tomorrow though ☹️ trying to be positive but so hard seeing all the blood and struggling to move with the pain

Morning! My bleeding and pain continued through the night unfortunately and the test this morning is negative ☹️ still have to keep going with the pessaries until Friday as the clinic won't take the result until then. Completely gutted but fully expected it with all the bleeding and pain.

@Reefy hope you're feeling okay about today. I hope your doctor pulls out lots of lucky eggs 😍

@Coops0406 so sorry to read this. I completely understand its difficult to stay positive when you're feeling this way and you're gut is telling you otherwise. But fingers crossed for positive news on Friday

So 13 eggs today, was hoping for a few more but I guess it only takes one. I was awake before I was even in recovery today 😂. On my way to McDonald's for chips!

Thanks @Reefy @pkp11 it's crap but in a few weeks I'll feel better and be hopefully in discussions about FET. I've been here before with no Frosties so in a much better position than last time and just need to stay positive 😊

@Reefy great news!! 13 is a fab number of eggs!! How are you feeling? Hopefully not too much pain. Yes, get those fries down you!!!

@Coops0406 of course but doesn't make it any easier tho. Thinking of you. Yes I feel absolutely fine & touch wood at the moment no pain so hope that stays that way. The embryologist Even said to me I look good 😂😂. I felt worse last time. Totally scoffed them, how waiting for a McFlurry 😂😂

Just had to call & only 6 out of the 13 have fertilised. I feel quite disappointed with that as that's what I ended up with the day after last time with no Frosties so I can't help but think that will be the same again. I guess we will just have to wait for the update again on Saturday.

@Reefy 6 is really good!! Don't be too disheartened 🥰 But I know exactly how you feel when the number of eggs is double to what fertilises. I'm on another thread and someone who was going through egg collection back in June when I was on my first cycle only had 1 egg and is now 20 weeks pregnant! That honestly gives me hope and reason to keep going. Stay positive and keep us updated...when do you hear next?

@Coops0406 it's because I'm comparing it to last time as that's what I ended up with the day after EC again. They have booked me for Monday but will call again Saturday with an update & said if they think 1 is good & the others not they will get me in on Saturday, that's what happened to me last time a day 3 so I'm really hoping to get round to Monday. Hope you are doing ok 😘

@Reefy it's so hard not to compare it with the previous one, but just remember each round is different and with different outcomes. Stay positive, you are still very much in it 🥰

Did my "official" test today and still BFN. No more pessaries for me now thankfully. Just wondering when the bleeding will stop as it's longer and heavier than most periods I've had, with no signs of stopping!

@Reefy how are you doing? Is your next update tomorrow?

@Coops0406 I'm so sorry to hear that 💐. Hopefully it won't last too much longer. I've got a bit of pain that I've had through the night, it seems to be more then Wednesday or Thursday for some reason.

Clinic call & I have 3 that are between 6-7 cells & doing well & 3 that are between 3-4 cells which they said might catch up. They said they are all at good quality & will update me on Monday & hope some are viable for freezing. I'm booked in for transfer Monday afternoon.

@Reefy great news! How do you feel?

We found out today that 2 of the 5 embryos are euploid which is great 😍 The other 3 are now being put towards training or research (can't remember what we consented to!) They have also suggested some tests for me to check my womb is in a good condition so we don't potentially waste these good embryos, so that will likely be in my first cycle in the new year
