IVF September/October 2021 cycle

I am just starting a new thread in case anyone else is falling into the September/October timings...I have been in other threads which have been so so supportive and a bit of a godsend really, but I'm a bit behind where everyone is up to.

I had a failed cycle in June unfortunately and didn't respond as they expected. Then was supposed to start again in august but unfortunately they saw a cyst on one of my ovaries so have delayed the next cycle to September (I think my stims will fall into October as they'll put me on norithisterone).

@Coops0406 I wonder if it's just a blood test as my clinic have said it's £505! Yes I did thank you but wasn't so good yesterday & still feel a bit rubbish this morning 😂 I'm too old for it now!

@Reefy I asked the doctor about NK cells and he told me that these days it wasn't done much, and the NK cells from a blood test is not the same as in your womb. So he talked me out of that...plus I've never been pregnant so don't know if i have any issues with miscarriage.

How are you doing @Reefy @pkp11 ? Any news on your next steps?

The biopsy was uncomfortable, like really bad period cramps for the minute they were in there. But, the first time my OH could come into the room!! Obviously must have been odd him sitting there with another man's head having a good look up the other end whilst chatting to us 🤣 but so glad he could be in there with me

I'm well. Need to call clinic to have the pgt tests done. I've just not been in the head space but will make it priority this afternoon.

How have you been otherwise? I am truing to stick to my diet and exercises as though I'm still going through it all. Is that what you did?

@pkp11 I've been good. Had a drink on Saturday and suffered all day yesterday! But I've had my blowout and will now be back to T total again! AF was here last week too so my eating, exercise and generally being healthy went out of the window! I also just want to sleep a lot! Thankfully I work less hours during the school holidays and am making the most of an extra lie in!

@Coops0406 glad the biopsy is done & it wasn't too bad. It's good your OH was allowed in but yes it's funny then being there while another man is fiddling about down there 😂😂. Yes after researching & doing a zoom support with a doctor form Oxford I've decided against testing for NK cells. My OH gets his results from the enhanced male test in 2 weeks so then we should be able to sort out when our next cycle will be. At the moment I feel like I'm in limbo as nothing booked in & just want to get started. Not long till we know now.

@Coops0406 glad you've had your blowout! In this process I feel as though the best thing you can do is listen to what your body wants and just do that, so if it's sleep then do it.
@Reefy feeling in limbo is so normal in all of this isn't it. I felt it a lot and just trusting the process is so hard.

@Reefy not long until the results come through 😊 it's such a waiting game! I hope all is well when the results come through

@pkp11 blowout was good, glad to have done it but definitely don't miss the hangovers!!

@Coops0406 1 week to go! Spoke to clinic earlier about booking in for my May cycle if all is good but they said I wouldn't be able to as would need all my bloods doing again & a scan then a doctors consultation then nurses consultation & a cost of £390! I'm going to ask the doctor on Monday when I talk to him to see if I do need that as I had all those bloods (Amh a& stuff) done on 7th February last year & doctor said I will be on same meds so confused about that. I think we will now wait till July as June cycle won't really work as away for a few days & also booked to go see Ed Sheeran & feel like I've put my life on hold so much I just want to enjoy myself & stop doing things l like! Have you had your results back yet form biopsy? Your be getting ready for FET soon!

@Reefy why do they want to do all that again! What a chore, not to mention the costs!! I wonder whether they update them yearly?
Our appointment to go through results is on Friday 29th, but if they get them in earlier they will let us know. But we're away next week for 3 nights so I think we'll have to wait to the 29th anyway!
Where are you seeing Ed? We're going to Manchester on the 10th June!! 🥳

@Coops0406 I literally have no idea! This is why I'm going to ask the doctor but it's what the receptionist told me today! That's good they will call you sooner if they have them but at the same time will be nice going away & forgetting about it! I hope the weather will be good wherever you are off too! I'm going to London at the end of June so after you. Hope you managed to enjoy some of the good weather over the Easter weekend!

@Reefy how were the results? What's your ne t steps now?

Hi guys my first round just ended in a chemical 😔 disappointing but keen to stay positive and start again. When are you allowed to start round 2? I'm having withdrawal bleed now. Thanks xx

@Coops0406 yes all good! Just the shape of it a bit low so advised ICSI for next cycle. Clinic called today to book nurses consultation to arrange Meds & appointments so that's next week so will have to see if can squeeze in for May cycle but I very much doubt it otherwise will be July. Did you have a nice time away? Have you had the results early?

@Waitress901 I'm so sorry to hear that. So I had my withdrawal bleed then 1 bleed then on the month after I started on that bleed. Stay strong.

@Reefy they never called, so just going for our appointment tomorrow. Had a fab 3 nights in portugal which has passed the time nicely!
I think I'll be looking at June/July probably for next cycle...might start a new thread! I keep joining ones then my time doesn't come around and I find it hard to see everything going on around me!

I've got my nurses consultation next Thursday so see when they can fit me in, I expect it will be July as June isn't good for me. Yeah I actually haven't joined any new ones recently as not sure when it would be. I forget how old this one is!

@Reefy will they look at dates and protocol with you next Thursday?

@Coops0406 yeah, im staying on the same protocol apparently as I respond well which is good in a way as I properly only need 1 vial of menopur to buy & maybe 1 or 2 Fyremedal.
It will be good to get it sorted so we know when we are working towards!

@Reefy great stuff. Our results were really good, 95% good bacteria, none of the nasties and ERA showed I need ET on day 6 of progesterone rather than day 5. They are starting me on a higher dose of oestrogen and depending on my progesterone levels, may give me lubion injections for that, so we'll see

@Coops0406 that's good news! When will you be hoping to do it? We just paid for our package this morning so see what dates they can do next week on our appointment 🤞

@Reefy once the money's gone it's a step closer! Hoping to start on next t cycle, AF due around 8th May so would be end of may/June for FET.

AF arrived today after 2 days of spotting, but unfortunately it came in the afternoon so start oestrogen tomorrow now 😊
Will find out when my scan is tomorrow too! Could be a May transfer!

@Coops0406 it's the only time we are ever happy to AF! I start my Norethisterone tomorrow. EC either 3rd or 6th June!

@Reefy not long to go now! We've got our scan booked on Monday 16th May!
