Haha @Ofpalestsilver I thought 2ww would be a breeze having going through the actual treatment, how wrong I was! I'm now helping my husband with some of his work projects and finding random recipes I'd usually never make from scratch to distract myself lol, but still trying to do to too much after the difficult transfer. Xx

I had my lining scan today and my lining was 7.5mm the thickest it’s ever been!! Even in my fresh cycle with 42 follicles it was only 6.9mm. I’d got myself so worried that my body just wouldn’t react and they’d just tell me that was it there was nothing else they could do (maybe slightly irrationally)
ET next week. Fingers crossed my frostie thaws and sticks around.

I told my manager at work with my IVF but only told our admin this time as she’s a close mate and it also makes managing appointments easy. We’ve told very few people this time in general not even parents as not seeing people I can get away with it more. I felt like too many people knew last time.

BrandyM · 26/11/2020 20:09

Thanks all.

Egg collection tomorrow morning 😬 Slightly terrified as although some people had no issues with it, I think others found it painful. I’m hoping I’m not in the latter group x

BrandyM · 26/11/2020 20:10

@MF1981 Thanks for the supplements. I've been taking all those religiously for the last 3 months so here's hoping that I’ll have some good quality eggs like yours!

How are you feeling now? X

Gensola · 26/11/2020 20:11

Good luck @BrandyM! I am at Ox Fert clinic too - I am quite pleased with them so far! I have a progress scan tomorrow for follicles. Smile

BrandyM · 26/11/2020 20:12

@Jane1284 how are you doing? Is your next scan tomorrow ? X

BrandyM · 26/11/2020 20:22

@Gensola Oh yay! Great to connect with someone from the same clinic. We are going to be in the same building tomorrow haha.

Im very pleased with them as well actually. I like how clean the whole place is and the general vibe from the staff. Are you with Dr Ed Coates by any chance?

Good luck with your scan tomorrow. Hope the small ones catch up. Xx

Gensola · 26/11/2020 20:34

@BrandyM yes I’m with Dr Ed Coates. I’m in short protocol as at risk for OHSS. Hoping for transfer around 7/8/9 Dec. It’s our first go at IVF so it’s all been a huge learning curve. The injections have taken some getting used to!

MrsF1989 · 26/11/2020 20:46

@BrandyM I had my egg collection on Wednesday, dont be terrified, I had some discomfort afterwards, it was definitely bearable and it passes. Best of luck with it xx

MF1981 · 26/11/2020 20:48

Good luck @BrandyM! I’m feeling a lot better thank you. Still huge but not as much pain now.

@Mancbear88 sounds good for you! I don’t know much about FET - have you had to down reg? I have my consultation Monday so need to do a bit of research beforehand so I know what options there are.

BrandyM · 26/11/2020 20:58

@Gensola You’re not going to be too far behind me on the transfer! It’s also our first round and like you it’s been a huge learning curve.

I just found out the other day that Dr Ed Coates is a former GB Decathlete and was the third member of James Cracknell and Ben Fogle’s race to the South Pole on ‘On Thin Ice’. I was thinking how on earth does he find the time to achieve all this. Amazing.

Good luck tomorrow and look forward to following your journey xx

BrandyM · 26/11/2020 21:02

@MrsF1989 Thanks so much for your good wishes and for sharing your egg collection experience. Makes me feel a lot better to know that the pain is bearable.

How many eggs did they collect/fertilise for you? You had a lot of follies didn’t you? Xx

lucymills1234 · 26/11/2020 21:33

Good luck for tomorrow @BrandyM !!

MrsF1989 · 26/11/2020 21:37

@BrandyM eekk, yes I had 18 collected and 11 of those fertilised. They are a bit worried about OHSS, but so far I feel fine (touch wood) - just a bit of a trapped wind feeling, sorry TMI (infertility makes you very much used to oversharing 🤣). I have to have a blood test tomorrow to check hormone levels, if all okay, go ahead with transfer on Monday.

But as I said, it was all fine... not the most enjoyable thing ever but not horrific and I was someone who had a melt down during my first blood test for my fertility tests 18 months ago, oh how I've come a long way 🤣

xxx

Ofpalestsilver · 26/11/2020 21:39

Good luck @BrandyM! I’m sure it will be amazing.

Who is next to test following the 2ww? Anyone at the weekend?

Ofpalestsilver · 26/11/2020 23:23

I’m on cyclogest and getting really intense cramps. Anyone else getting that?

BrandyM · 26/11/2020 23:23

@MF1981 Thanks. Glad to hear you’re feeling better xx

BrandyM · 26/11/2020 23:25

@lucymills1234 thanks so much and good luck with your scan tomorrow. Let us know how you get on xx

BrandyM · 26/11/2020 23:31

Thanks so much @Ofpalestsilver and sorry to hear about your intense cramps. Is it constant or does it come and go?

I'm thinking next to test might be @Rachae on Monday? How are you getting on @Rachae?

Xx

Rachae · 26/11/2020 23:43

Good luck @BrandyM!
Yes to the Cyclogest cramps... So I've been having cramps, milky white discharge, change in appetite (less not more), pure exhaustion and weeping at everything.
I took a 6 days earlier test today and it was negative.
Just wondering if 5 days past transfer is too early to test... Or should a sensitive test have showed me a faint line?
When I've been preg before, the faint lines showed up around day 25 of my cycle. Not sure what the equivalent cycle day is when we have the transfer? Xx

BrandyM · 26/11/2020 23:56

@MrsF1989 11 fertilised is a fantastic number!

I know what you mean re coming a long way. I used to be so terrified of needles and now they don’t bother me at all. It’s amazing how much I’ve changed since I embarked on this journey.

Good luck with your blood test tomorrow xxx

MrsF1989 · 27/11/2020 07:05

@BrandyM if there's one thing positive we can take from this journey is that we are officially bad asses 😜.

Thank you. I hope egg collection goes well, make sure you enjoy a nice relaxing day afterwards! Xx

Mancbear88 · 27/11/2020 07:41

@Rachae with my fresh cycle it was negative at 7 days and positive at 8 days post transfer although very very faint barely there I really had to look hard!

@MF1981 I think some people do downreg but I’ve just had two weeks of oestrogen (a lot of the stuff!). It’s been bliss compared to my ivf cycle.

Jane1284 · 27/11/2020 07:50

Happy Friday all Smile

Second scan today. From what the Dr said last time this would be my last and they will go for EC on Monday. Fingers crossed I still have my 3 follicles and no more bad news! Wishful thinking.

Good luck today @BrandyM . I hope it EC goes well! Nice that you can have the weekend to relax afterwards.

Hope everyone else is doing well?

Rachae · 27/11/2020 08:01

Thanks @mancbear88 I'm hoping it was too early to test then. It's so frustrating when you get preg symptoms but also know that it could be the Cyclogest side effects! Xx
