Hi.. I'm starting my third round of ivf First didn't stick second did an ended with a miscarriage.. I'm about to have my third round so throught is start a thread if anyone would like to share there journey or is awaiting ivf. Etc. Let do it together. I was on a thread before an really helped.

@Rachae I am 15 days past trigger shot and 7 days post transfer so am hoping the trigger shot is out of my system by now!

@Roo45 I had 8 out of my 14 fertilise and that was with ICSI so sounds quite similar. You only need 1!

@dragonfly1978 what! That's awesome! I read the max was like 14 days past hcg... I think you're preg! xx

@Roo45 they collected 10 eggs and only 4 of mine fertilised, and I’ve still got 3 on day 5.

They couldn’t do the transfer today as I have fluid and mild ohss so don’t wanna risk a really good egg, so I’ll be doing a frozen transfer now instead. Disappointing but apparently your chances are higher from a frozen transfer? X

Hey @Emmalouise11 so sorry to hear that! I'm actually due to go in v soon and I have v similar symptoms. Been in agony all morning with a huge tummy and could hardly walk. Did they see the fluid or did you disclose?

I said I had a bit of spotting and then, They see it on the screen when they scanned my stomach and I didn’t think I even had anything wrong I’m not bloated no more or nothing so it was a surprise x. Good luck x

@Emmalouise11 I think that’s what will happen to me. I’ve been in agony today and had to call the clinic. They said that taking lactulose to relieve the constipation should give me some instant relief. I’m not really bloated though. I agree that it’s disappointing but best to give them the best possible change right? And yes I’ve heard that frozen transfers can actually be more successful because your body has fully recovered from collection.

Well aren’t the pessaries a delight?!

@MF1981 yes that’s the way you got to look at it. When is your transfer due? I’m so glad I can stop the pessaries today I won’t miss them lol x

Yes I think I’m just disappointed as I feel like I’ve been waiting ages and now it prob won’t happen until after Xmas. But if it gives a better chance then can’t really complain. X

@Emmalouise11 I’m due to transfer on Tuesday. They’re going to call us Monday morning with an update on how the embryos are doing and then the nurse team will call me to assess whether I’m well enough for the transfer.

Thanks everyone and good luck for those awaiting transfer! I have heard that frozen transfers are very good too, possibly even better than fresh sometimes? But I can understand about waiting even longer :(

Well.. I think I probably got the worst scenario ever.
Of the 14, none made it to where they should be on day 5. So they couldn't grade any. But the embryologist insisted on putting back in the best one of the bad bunch... I don't see the point but she said that slow growing embryos can catch up. I still can't believe that they'd put back in something that can't be graded.. And wouldnt entertain putting back in two either. Which made even less sense to me.

Given I've had 3 miscarriages and the same thing happens every time.. Pregnancy test is weak and no strong line... I think it's because my embryos are slow growing and don't catch up.

Either way, I didn't want to go through with it as can't face another miscarriage. But my fiance wanted to take the chance and I couldn't take that away from him.

I start my injections today... Only 4 follicles seen at my scan today at day 2... taking Fostimon and Merifort along with everything else they can through in the mix...

Happy to hear how everyone is progressing. All the ups and downs but we continue to hope for the best.

Why would they put an underdeveloped embryo that can't be graded back in..? It almost feels better to have called me and said none made it. I can't wrap my head around the logic. Xx

@Sweets208 good luck with your first injections! I hope you find them ok. I’ll be doing my third one tonight. So far only symptom is slight twinges in my general ovary area. First scan on tues. Let’s hope we both have some smaller follicles that join the party after some stimulating! xx

@BrandyM heya I'm here sorry had the worst few days, birthday yesteday. I've actually had the biggest period in the world honestly I think this is what they was on about. The pain and everything is herendous. Ive messages the doctor and said to book for another scan. So will see then I've lost all hope I'm just so negative about it all. Anyways how are you??
