@BrandyM yes i thought it sounded like a lot! i guess my 2 AFC probably made them want to throw everything at it. Hopefully high stims work for me though I am worried as I have heard of women with low AMH/AFC responding better to lower stims but I guess they will start high and then see how it goes for future rounds.

@dragonfly1978 thinking of you in your TWW. Keep us posted on when you decide to test.

@lucymills1234 Any news from your doc? Not sure if it is the same but when i went for my baseline scan last week on day 24 they said they could see something left over from the follicle that ovulated that month. That was why i had to go back for another scan yesterday on day 1 to make sure it had gone. Apparently if it doesn't go it can stop other follicles developing once you start on the drugs. Hope all is OK now and you can get started. I know how frustrating the wait can be!

@Rachae sounds like everything is going great for you. Very excited to hear your day 5 numbers. How are you feeling about your impending transfer?

@EasterBunny7 do you mean who has ever had a BFP on this group or just if anyone has so far this cycle? I have never had one. Fingers crossed this is our time x

EasterBunny7 · 19/11/2020 13:01

Sorry, I meant in this cycle that we're all going through together Smile

MF1981 · 19/11/2020 13:24

Hey guys. I’m home from egg collection. I slept through the whole thing! I’m feeling really crampy now but they said that’s normal and just to carry on with the painkillers until tomorrow and then see how I feel. Had 26 follicles in the end and they got 22 eggs. Fiancé’s sample was comparable to his last test so the supplements don’t seem to have helped any. So we’re going ahead with icsi and they’ll call us tomorrow morning to let us know how many have fertilised. They said they then don’t update us again until Monday, so Day 4, and will decide on that date whether to do a fresh transfer on Tuesday or do a freeze all. They said if I was to get OHSS it will likely kick in around day 4 so maybe that’s why they wait until then.

Rachae · 19/11/2020 13:35

Hey @Jane1284 thanks! I'm feeling ok and just curious to know final numbers! Nothing can be worse than EC for me and so I think transfer will be a breeze.

@MF1981 Wowza, such great numbers! Awesome news!

Emmalouise11 · 19/11/2020 13:39

Hey @Rachae I had a unexpected day 3 call aswell today they said all 4 of mine are doing fine 2 are really good 1 is a bit behind and the other one is a bit behind that but still growing and that’s normal, I reckon ( and hope) I’ll have the 2 good ones on Saturday still. X

Jane1284 · 19/11/2020 13:56

@MF1981 wow, such great numbers! You must be so happy. Disappointing that your fiancé's sample hasn't improved with supplements (we had the same with our recent sample not improving despite making loads of effort) but with ICSI you should be on target for lots of fertilised eggs. Can't wait to hear how you get on come Tuesday xx

dragonfly1978 · 19/11/2020 14:05

@Rachae that's exactly how I felt, egg collection was so awful and painful with no sedation working that I was terrified of transfer and so anxious. Transfer was absolutely fine and quick, don't worry about it at all!

dragonfly1978 · 19/11/2020 14:07

@EasterBunny7 I don't think anyone in this chat has got to the point of testing yet?

Rachae · 19/11/2020 15:42

Hey @Emmalouise11 that's brilliant to hear 😊 xx

Roo45 · 19/11/2020 16:11

Great news @MF1981 and @Emmalouise11!

EasterBunny7 · 19/11/2020 18:20

@MF1981

Well done! Bear

EasterBunny7 · 19/11/2020 18:21

@dragonfly1978

In that case, you could be the first one with news! Flowers

lucymills1234 · 19/11/2020 18:34

Hi @Jane1284 thanks for asking, I heard back today that it's not producing hormones so they've said go ahead. I hope it does go as I'm a bit worried about it inhibiting other follicles.. But I'm on a 300ui daily dose of stims so guess I have to hope for the best. They saw 8 follicles on the baseline (excluding the dodgy one) so fingers crossed.

Do people ever get more follicles on the progress scans than showed on the baseline? Or is that wishful thinking from me?

@Rachae did you get any update on your news? just catching up after busy day

Ofpalestsilver · 19/11/2020 21:59

@MF1981 that’s great. So many eggs. Let’s hope they crack on with the next stage!

@dragonfly1978 how many days early do you think you’ll test? I’m terrified of having a false positive as I think that would destroy me but who knows what I’ll be like nearer the time. Won’t be much sleep the night before I reckon!

rowwan · 19/11/2020 22:19

Hi everyone. Wondering whether I can join this boards. I have just starting my FET, having gone through a miscarriage with the previous transfer. Potentially going to transfer next Friday but might be nice to chat with people who are going through similar timelines.

dragonfly1978 · 20/11/2020 06:37

@Ofpalestsilver I am going to try and hold out as long as I can and try and make it to 9dp5dt as lots of clinics set the OTD as then, not sure why mine day 14 days!! 9 days would be Monday for me, not sure I can make it to then but will try! When is your OTD?

Jane1284 · 20/11/2020 07:55

@lucymills1234 that's great news! So glad you can get started. 8 follicles is great too. My nurse said that once you start stimming some of the little ones that maybe aren't visible can catch up. Let's hope that is the case! I only had 5 visible on my baseline which sounds crap but I only had 2 on my September scan so I'm actually pretty happy. It is all relative Smile Have you had your first injection now? I think you and I are on a similar timeline x

Hi @rowwan - welcome to the group. So sorry to hear about your miscarriage. How are you feeling about your impending transfer? Are you on any medication to prepare you or are you having a natural transfer?

I hope everyone else is doing well! I did my first injection last night. 375 Gonal-F. Seemed like a lot of liquid to inject but it was so painless/easy (I knew the tummy rolls I have been cultivating for years would come in handy). My fiancé was almost sick at the end due to his needle phobia Grin but I am hoping by day 6 when I have three injections a day he will get over his fear.

Rachae · 20/11/2020 08:08

@Lucymills1234 I'm doing well thanks, they called yesterday on day 3 to say all 14 had made it and 3 look good. But it's all in play for day 5...whatever that means! Haha. I never remembered my baseline scan but the numbers did increase from the scan after the stims to the final scan... The nurse said exactly the same thing to me.

@dragonfly1978 looking forward to your tips on staying sane when I get to the TWW!

@Rowwan welcome! I'm so sorry to hear about your miscarriage. I've had them too and my heart goes out to you xx

@Jane1284 Well done!! How many weeks have you got to Inject? Mine seemed forever at first at 5 weeks but it soon whizzed by in the end

Jane1284 · 20/11/2020 08:50

@Rachae I am on short protocol so no down reg and only have 12 days of stims with trigger shot potentially on the 13th day with EC (fingers crossed) on the 15th day which would be 2nd of December x

BrandyM · 20/11/2020 09:03

@MF1981 22 eggs is amazing! Well done! You must be relieved that bit is now done. Glad to hear you slept through the whole thing as I know you were a bit anxious about it.

Sorry to hear no improvement on your Fiancé's sample but ICSI will take care of that. How long was he on the supplements if you don't mind me asking? They say it takes 3 months to see improvements.

How are you feeling today? Fingers crossed you hear good news today on how many fertilised. Xx

EasterBunny7 · 20/11/2020 09:24

@Ofpalestsilver

How many days past transfer are you now? This waiting business is so much more mentally taxing than the stimming.

MF1981 · 20/11/2020 09:37

Thanks @BrandyM. He’s been on them since July/August time but religiously since beginning of September. I’m feeling ok. Still quite tender and still taking Co-codamol. I’m ok when in one position or when walking around but transitioning from standing to sitting and vice versa is uncomfortable. I’m also really constipated which isn’t helping the situation!

We’ve just had the call from the clinic - of the 22 eggs, only 11 were mature. But of the 11 mature eggs, 9 have fertilised. So I’m pleased with that. We won’t hear again until Monday morning now so fingers crossed they progress nicely over the next few days.

Ofpalestsilver · 20/11/2020 09:46

@Rowwan Welcome to the group. Very sorry to hear of your miscarriage. Have experienced that myself in the past and it's hard. But wishing you all the best for the new cycle.

@dragonfly1978 I've been advised 14 days as well so exactly two weeks. And it's on a Wednesday morning. I'm nearly tempted to take that day off work!

@Jane1284 at least your partner could be with you as you injected. mine stayed downstairs. he hates needles and I didn't see any point of having him around, haha. I used it as a nice bit of relaxing me time post injection! :)

@EasterBunny7 Two! So still pretty early. :)

Ofpalestsilver · 20/11/2020 09:47

@MF1981 that's great news. Nine sounds like a good number. Fingers crossed they make amazing embryos! :)

Jane1284 · 20/11/2020 09:55

@Ofpalestsilver haha oh dear! We thought that maybe he could cure his phobia if we make him watch every night. Based on last night I am not sure that will work! Sounds like you have a good plan in place.

@MF1981That's really great news. Nine fertilised eggs is so positive. I hope you have more great news on Monday.

@BrandyM how are you getting on with your stims? When is your next progress scan? I hope you are feeling ok xx
