Hi.. I'm starting my third round of ivf First didn't stick second did an ended with a miscarriage.. I'm about to have my third round so throught is start a thread if anyone would like to share there journey or is awaiting ivf. Etc. Let do it together. I was on a thread before an really helped.

@lucymills1234 Sorry I can't offer much advice as this is my first round but just wanted to say I hope it is just the corpus luteum and you can start your IVF! x

@EasterBunny7 thank you. That's a good question about the test date. I was on the Fetility Network board of Health Unlocked and someone was asking about testing and they advised them to wait until the OTD they were given as other wise they could get a false positive. I had no idea that was a thing! When is your official test date?

@Jane1284 thanks so much :) The nurse seemed very casual about it but as you know when it's your first round it's all new. The combination of my age and the Christmas deadline looming means I just want to crack on with it...

Hey @Lucymills1234 yes I had the same thing and they said in the end that it was one left over from the last cycle. A week or so later it had gone from the ultrasound.

@Emmalouise11 omg I'm starving all the time! Yep defo harder to pee. I've also had some spotting today which I'm concerned with... Surely I couldn't Start AF 2 days before transfer day? Xx

Hi @Rachae thanks, that's encouraging! Did they just scan you a week later and start you on stims with a delay or did you have to stop the cycle and start again? Hoping for good news when the blood results come back. I have had a bleed so I stupidly thought I was going to get the go ahead today, didn't even think about cysts :(

Is it the current cycle you're on that this happened? How is it going for you in general?

@Lucymills1234 nope they didn't delay anything.. They just spotted the corpus luteum (I think that's right spelling!) and so said that this must have been left over from last cycle. I had a few scans before my EC. It's gone well so far thanks, I'm just mega worried I'm starting my period! I find out tomorrow morning how many embryos made it to day 3 and supposed to transfer on sat. Going to be gutted if i have a period xx

@Jane1284 just read your Gonal-f and menopur doses. Oh wow. That's a lot you're on. I'm
just on 375 Gonal-f with no menopur.

My doctor said I'm on the highest dose they'd prescribe (I think you can go up to 450 on it but he said they've only ever exceeded 375 in very rare circumstances ). It's good to know though that if this cycle doesn't work for me, I can ask if menopur can be added to my stims next cycle.

@Rachae I’m sure on the cyclogest leaflet it does say you could start your period early, but maybe check with your clinic to see if that’s ok xx

TWW is long.......
OTD isn't until the 27th, was determined to try and wait but can feel myself starting to wobble already! 5 days after 5 day transfer tomorrow

@Rachae everything crossed for your day 3 numbers. There are no ‘knowns’ in this process are there, trying to think of it as an obstacle course and just focus on getting over one hurdle at a time. Hopefully the spotting is just that x

@dragonfly1978 how exciting! Could you not test on the 9th day? My clinic said I could use a first response on that day xx

@Rachae they all seem to say differently don't they? Did you have an hcg trigger shot? I did so am a bit worried about a false positive?

Are you getting any symptoms? I know they say it could be from the hormones but have you noticed anything new before and after the transfer?

@EasterBunny7 I wasn't getting any but then have had a headache since yesterday lunchtime that won't go. Only other thing is tiredness but think that's because I can't sleep worrying about the two week wait!!!! What about you?
I have to confess I have ordered some frer tests that are arriving on Saturday so I may test early!!!!

No symptoms yet, only had the transfer yesterday. I'm curious to see if anything develops as I've been lucky enough to not have any side effects from the estrogen send progesterone prior to transfer.

I feel for you with the early testing, I'm guessing I'll be the same!

I'm curious to know how many people have already got a bfp in this cycle of November/ December? It's really hard to keep track and to scroll back to the beginning

Hey @dragonfly1978 yes that's a good point on hcg.. Hard to say when best to test with that in mind.

I've had my day 3 phone call and a bit confused! I've read articles where you expect a certain drop out rate at day 3... The embryologist said that all 14 of mine made it and have the right amount of cells. She also said that 3 look good quality, but the others can catch up by day 5 and it's normal.
So I don't know whether to read this as by day 5 I'll probs have 3..or could have 14?!
I grilled her and she said they're all definitely ok and in the running.
Just confused over how other centres do this xc

@Rachae they didn't look at mine until day 5 but when they did all had made it to day 3 which they said wasn't unusual, only three made it to day five and only 2 of really high quality. I think it's the bit between day 3 and 5 when they said only 30% make it?
