@MF1981 great to hear that you've started your injections Xx

BrandyM · 10/11/2020 23:15

@Rachae sorry to hear that you're bloated. I had my down-regulation scan today and starting gonal-f Thursday. The nurse warned me today that it could make me feel very bloated.

When's your next scan? Xx

BrandyM · 10/11/2020 23:18

@dragonfly1978 congrats on your egg collection and fertilisation. Such great numbers! Xx

BrandyM · 10/11/2020 23:33

@ivfhope3 so sorry to hear that your lining isn't where they went it to be. I'd listen to what the Doctors say on this unless as @81Poppy said time and AMH is of concern.

Good luck with your scan on Sunday lovely. Keep persevering! I've been listening to fertility related podcasts and really being inspired by all these women facing all sorts of challenges and going on to overcome them. If you're interested, the one I'm listening to is called 'Beat Infertility'

Good luck and let us know how you're doingSmile xxx

BrandyM · 10/11/2020 23:34

@Jane1284 how are you doing? Have you started injecting? Xx

BrandyM · 10/11/2020 23:39

@EasterBunny7 great to hear that your scan showed things are progressing. Did they tell you how many follicles to expect or is to too early to count reliably? Xx

BrandyM · 10/11/2020 23:42

@Ofpalestsilver sending good thoughts to your follicles and that they don't exceed twoSmilexx

BrandyM · 10/11/2020 23:46

@Emmalouise11 wow that's an impressive number of follicles. Are you feeling bloated or ok
generally?

Good luck with your scan on Friday Smile xx

BrandyM · 10/11/2020 23:49

Hi @Luludarty how are you getting on? Xx

Luludarty · 11/11/2020 06:27

Hey @BrandyM I’ve been injecting for 4 days, Gonal F. And I have to start a second one tomorrow, starts with a C, it’s one that I have to mix myself. The Gonal F has been fine, no pain at all. My egg collection is scheduled for next Thursday. I generally feel fine, I was a bit angry yesterday and I’ve had some headaches but nothing internal going on yet I don’t think.

How are you feeling about starting your jabs?

MF1981 · 11/11/2020 06:46

@Luludarty could it be cetrotide? If so, let me know how you get on with it as I’m heading for that one too at the weekend.

Jane1284 · 11/11/2020 08:09

Hey @BrandyM . I'm doing fine thanks. Just waiting to get started! Off for my baseline scan today where they will tell me if I can proceed with this round of IVF. Given the OK I will start injecting next week on day 2 of my cycle. Hopefully around 17/18 Nov. I start with Gonal-F on day two and then from day 6 i start fyremadel and Menopur as well. I guess I will find out how to inject today.

How was the down-reg scan? How are you feeling about starting this Thursday? xx

BrandyM · 11/11/2020 08:31

@Luludarty Great to hear you’re doing well. I’m starting Gonal-F tomorrow so it’s really good to hear that it’s not a nasty one. Feeling really excited about starting stims finally!

Did you have scans since you started Gonal-F? How exciting that your egg collection is next Thursday. Fingers crossed for a very good outcome! Let us know how you get on. SmileXx

Luludarty · 11/11/2020 08:35

@BrandyM yeah it’s painless I would say. I do it myself and my husband just stands with me for moral support. You’ll be fine. Let me know how you get on. I’ve not had any scans. My clinic aren’t scanning throughout to reduce footfall. I had a scan a week ago before the injections and all looked okay. My next scan is next Tuesday I think. Do you have scans planned?

Emmalouise11 · 11/11/2020 08:37

Hey thank you, @BrandyM overall I’m generally feeling fine haven’t had no bloating or nothing as of yet. Hopefully it stays like that till Friday. Hope the new injection goes well for you tomorrow.

BrandyM · 11/11/2020 08:43

@Jane1284 The very best of luck today with your scan. What is the deciding factor on whether you start with this round of IVF or not?

My down-reg scan went very well. I’ve down regged successfully. They wanted my lining to be under 6mm and mine was 2.4mm. I’m not surprised it’s that low as my period went on for 9 days (usually I’m 3 days). The nurse was very happy with it but I was thinking God that’s too thin especially as they’d want it to thicken again starting tomorrow (when I start Gonal-f). My DH was like ‘you have to learn to celebrate the small wins don’t worry about the next step yet’. He is so right but this whole process makes you paranoid about everything doesn’t it? 🙄 Haha

Hope the scan goes well today so you can start with Gonal-F next week. Let us know how it went when you get the chance.🙂 xx

Rachae · 11/11/2020 08:51

Hey @BrandyM thanks! I guess I'm seeing bloating as a good thing, hopefully. Got a scan tomorrow to see if it's worked and if so, egg collection will be a week tomorrow! Feels like it's been a very long 6 weeks. I've decided whilst it would be nice if this works out.. I'm actually praying for Frozen embryos, so if I have to go through this all again it would be great to cut out some of the time.
How are you feeling about every thin? Xx

Jane1284 · 11/11/2020 09:16

@BrandyM thanks! The scan is just to check for any abnormalities (such as an ovarian cyst). Hopefully will be fine but i always prepare myself for the worse case scenario so I don't get too disappointed if it all goes downhill.

That's great about your lining! They obviously know what they are doing and it will start building up again now. I'm with your DH, definitely need to celebrate these small wins. But also get the whole paranoid side of things. I have written down all the possible things that could go wrong at each step in this process and how I can react if they do so I am prepared. Pretty dreadful but it helps me deal with the stress! xx

MF1981 · 11/11/2020 10:07

We definitely all need to celebrate the small wins!

@BrandyM you’ll be fine on gonal f. It’s pretty painless and the only side effect I’m feeling so far is tiredness. But then it has only been 2 days for me so far!

Ofpalestsilver · 11/11/2020 11:48

Hope the scan goes well today @Jane1284 . It's all coming closer!

I feel that I don't have any symptoms from the injections which worries me a little especially cos so little is happening inside! But just have to hope for the best. Next scan tomorrow. My fingers are crossed. In an ideal world, I'd do insemination on Friday or Saturday but I reckon my body will be like - nope! You have to wait!

So much waiting!

EasterBunny7 · 11/11/2020 12:21

Had another scan today which showed up new follicles but I think at this stage, new ones don't matter as they want enough at the right size to trigger. My follicles are tortoises: making slow but good progress.

MF1981 · 11/11/2020 13:02

@Ofpalestsilver I know what you mean about the waiting! Time seems to be standing still! I don’t think it helps that I’m not working. We’ve just had a new floor fitted so I’m going to clean that this afternoon to give me something to do - so exciting Hmm.

@EasterBunny7 - slow and steady wins the race so they say!

Ofpalestsilver · 11/11/2020 14:46

@EasterBunny7 - I feel your pain! :-D How long are your cycles normally (if you have regular cycles)?

EasterBunny7 · 11/11/2020 15:51

@Ofpalestsilver

I have longer cycles, actually...do you think that has an impact on how long the stimming takes to grow follicles? Never thought of it like that. Hmm

Jane1284 · 11/11/2020 16:10

Hi Ladies- i feel the pain today on the waiting! Had my baseline scan and the doctor has said she wants me to come back in next week on day one of my period for another scan before I can get approval to start IVF. Apparently I have ovulated this month but the follicle is still there and they need it to go away before I can start stimming as it may stop other follicles growing. Why is nothing ever simple? Now it is another week waiting for AF and praying my ovaries can stop playing about and just be well behaved for a change Halloween Confused
