Hi.. I'm starting my third round of ivf First didn't stick second did an ended with a miscarriage.. I'm about to have my third round so throught is start a thread if anyone would like to share there journey or is awaiting ivf. Etc. Let do it together. I was on a thread before an really helped.

@81Poppy it's a bit wobbly my lining there charging me to scan and scan again even though it was the doctors wishes last time. I've been told to eat beetroot vitamin 3 and accupunture so will see.
That's what I don't want to happen miss the cycle cause of close for Xmas.

I bet your frustrated I would be. What's the plans now?

I'm hoping to start end of Dec short protocol, trying to see the positive that I'll be able to have a few Baileys over Christmas now. Just hoping that it fits in with the clinic opening. I'm assuming it will open over the new year I need to check?

How to do the trigger shot an I can't remember 😩😩

Oh no when were you due to do it?? Is there any videos on you tube did they give you a specific time?

@ivfhope3 is it gonasi hcg trigger shot? There is a good video on line of how to do that one by Care

So the plan now is to have trigger ✅
Have a scan again on Sunday to see if the lining has made any difference what so ever. Or three lines as @81Poppy said
If not I'll have to wait another cycle to see if still thin then back on medication

I'm ovulating tho they was surprised I have 2 follicles in one ovary with no stimulation an told me not to have intercourse ( which isn't happening anyway) so this would have been a good cycle.

Why does our bodies do this. I'm overthinking everything now. I can just see the doctors face saying she really doesn't think it's a good idea especially after what I've been through.

Then I'm thinking am I just rushing in there the experts. Oh I don't bloody know..

@ivfhope3 it is awful when things don't go to plan, before this journey I never realised how many hurdles there are to get over before the embryo even goes in!

Is time an issue, age/low AMH? If not then if things do get cancelled it probably will be for the best in the long run even though it won't feel like it at the time.

I was really hoping to have everything done and dusted before Xmas but due to Husbands positive COVID test and now clinic closure everything is put back. I'm 39 so really want to get it done ASAP.

Try not to over think, do something to take your mind off things (easier said than done I know)

@Rachae I didn't feel a thing at my last EC, in fact I was so relaxed my husband had to keep checking on me as I was fast asleep for way too long after. I think it's quite rare to feel anything. @dragonfly1978 Im sorry you had to go through that it doesn't sound nice.

Just had the call from the clinic and of my 14 eggs, 12 were mature and eight have fertilised. Now the waiting game to see if any make it to day five 🤞

I spoke too soon re. relatively pain free injections as I’ve managed to bruise myself pretty horrifically! Any tips on how to minimise bruising please? Do you stick the full length of the needle in or should I only do say half of it? X

Had my scan this morning everything was good, lining was fine I think I had 11 follicles on one side and around 9,10 on the other side I think this is good numbers? Have to go back Friday for another scan and then egg collection is meant to be on Monday.

@ShiMo - I stick the needle the whole way in when I'm doing it. I haven't bruised yet but there was one day when I couldn't get needle in, not quite sure what I was doing!

Yesterday night, I went to do my evening injection and found a lovely black bruise too. I read up on it and apparently you can hit blood vessels which cause the bruising. To avoid it, you need to put an ice pack on it beforehand to constrict the blood vessels. ... I thought it was too much effort to go back to the fridge/ freezer so I just injected myself on the other side instead.

Hey everyone. So first injection done - my fiancé did it and he was amazing! So he’ll be chief injection giver from now on. Got my first progress scan on Friday morning.

Hey @81Poppy thanks for that, I’m such a wimp lol. I phoned my clinic to chat about it and they said I have a sedation nurse sat with ,e who’s going to monitor and make sure she gives me extra if I need it on the day.

How is everyone? Anyone on Menopur at the mo… I’m 6 days in now and have never felt so bloated in all my life! I can’t believe egg collection isn’t for another 8 days, I’m worried I’ll burst 😂

@Rachae I'm on menopur day 4 today! Mainly getting headaches and tiredness but I've been getting that since about 2 weeks into buserelin! X

@Rachae I’m on gonal f at the mo but switch to menopur at the weekend. Not looking forward to the bloating! Is it a stinger when you inject it?

@Roo45 ohh I’ve had tiredness every day, it’s exhausting! I used to do 15k steps a day and now I average like 5k ha. Not long left...@MF1981 it’s basically the same as buserelin, I haven’t really had many that hurt, I just find it does if I accidentally go the same place twice. I say I.. I mean my fiancé! X

@Rachae ha yeah my fiancé is doing mine too. He’s so good bless him. When I switch to menopur I also have to add in cetrotide so 2 injections. I’ve not heard anyone else mention cetrotide so is anyone else on that?
