Thanks for your messages everyone. Just had a call from my clinic with my blood result from earlier - they are worried because my HCG isn't as high as they would like. My DH and I are a bit confused... it rose at the same level it's done for the previous few days but I think now that they know it's a twin pregnancy they are viewing it differently. They think it's likely that the second twin/sac is reducing down and won't survive, and when it does this it can affect the HCG levels. I'm now at 5,795 (I was at 4,436 yesterday). They have switched me to stronger steroids to try and help but just got to wait and see what happens at the next scan on Friday. So I'm doing the waiting game like you @pattaz2711 - it's horrible!

@Everhopeful35 my won't even see me until the actual scan date it's rubbish

Hi everyone sorry I haven't posted in a while I had phone problems (well it ended up in the bath!) But I've been catching up with everyone's news. I was ivf got to be positive but had a name change.

Be more positive? I haven't ever experienced irregular sac sizes
@Everhopeful35 I suspected twins with your initially high levels as they were very similar to mine and we both transferred two!

So I am 6+4 or 5 today and on Monday (6+1) I found out I've got twins on board! Both measuring on track and both with heartbeats.

I know someone asked a few pages back when I got my 3+ on clearblue and I got it 16dp5dt (21DPO) and genuinely thought it meant it wasn't going to be twins as thought I would get it earlier than that if it was

@ivfdreaming here you are I've been thinking about you.. been worried.. so glad your ok. I got mine 14dp5dt not sure what that is (DPO) I'm soooo happy for you! Did you have 2 or one put back???

Yes this irregular sac is strange, I did start a thread as the girls on here said to an it wasn't good news so all I can do is hope tho my bloods was still going up so will see.. I'm 5w5days my bloods yesteday was 15077.. nothing I can do til Wednesday. So hey ho..

Thankyou - just a drowned phone and to be honest I was kind of glad as I was just stressing myself out on google!

I transferred 2 so twins was always possible although when I did PGS testing last year everything came back with chromosome issues so Clinic wasn't expecting both to implant!

I'm still realistic about both making it though as have had so many miscarriages before.

Very emotional on Monday - even the nurse at the hospital was in tears 🤣

I know you said you weren't sure when to have a scan - your hcg is so high that if it was me I'd go maybe Friday rather Wednesday- Wednesday is maybe soon to get an answer but Friday you'd be 6 weeks and you'd expect to see a heartbeat given the level of your hcg already?

It's so strange that they are so high??

@ivfdreaming that's amazing news! So glad you had a lovely scan experience and I hope both little jelly beans are doing well! When is your next scan?

@pattaz2711 sorry you are still struggling, I don't know about irregular sac shapes, yet more waiting must be awful

Sorry that I have also been absent, I'm currently 7+3 and waiting for my scan on Friday, have just felt in limbo waiting to see if there really is anything in there!

I'm 6 weeks this Friday..

My actual scan for clinic is Wednesday, I had a scan this Monday as I was having pain they wanted to rule out eptopic which was done a EPU not fertility clinic..
they won't see me until Wednesday an I'll be 6wks5day then..

I've told the clinic my levels they just said it's good there rising.. nothing else..

Monday last week they was 946.4 an I was 12dp5dt Wednesday 2038
Tuesday this week 21dp5dt there 15077

I think there really high but no ones saying anything then this gestation sac
Also is massive it's 13.5x4.2x10.6mm
An irregular shape but did have a yolk sac in it an possible 1mm fetal node ( that's what's they said ) but no detected heartbeat but I was only 5w2days

Thankyou! I only got scanned early at my hospitals EPU due to my past 2 ectopics and the surgeon said even though both tubes were removed I could still have a c section ectopic (which would just have been my luck!)

The scan at my IVF clinic is next Tuesday and I'll be 7+3/4 then - I'm still very nervous both may not make it but I'll feel better if I see that both are still measuring what they should with good heartbeats then. I'm almost more anxious about next week than I was about Mondays as now I know there is 2 in there I'm emotionally invested already

I haven't really had any symptoms either - other than having a noticeably big stomach and I'm much more tired than normal - DH is having to go up in the loft to find my maternity wear at the weekend.

I think it's only if the sac gets to 24mm and nothing can be seen inside do they start saying it's a blighted ovum. It's good they've seen something inside yours so maybe it will catch up at your next scan. Of course it could also have been so big because you started out with twins but one didn't grow x

@pattaz2711 how you doing? Did you decide to go and get a private scan instead of waiting until Wednesday?

I’m waaaay behind you ladies as still stimming and hoping for EC early next week. Burst in to tears at today’s scan as nurse told me I only had 10 follicles and really wanted there to be more. Can anyone else remember how many they had? Do you think 10 is ok?

To put things in perspective and hopefully make you feel better - last year I did two cycles of short protocol ivf - had 14 follicles each time. Less than 30% fertilised and 2 average quality blastocysts per cycle

The twins I'm currently pregnant with are from the National modified cycle I did where I only had 2 follicles but both made top quality blastocysts

Definitely focus on quality not quantity x

@ivfdreaming welcome back! I was wondering where you’ve been and hoping all was ok. Huge congratulations

@HT2101 I had 8 follicles one my right ovary. 3 on my left. When I had EC they couldn’t access my left so just took the 8 on the left. 5 were mature, 4 fertilised, 2 made it to 5 day blastocyst. One is in, one is in the freezer. I worked really hard for months on the quality of my eggs. I know its cliches but it is quality not quantity.

Thanks @BabySweet85 been driving myself potty trying to improve the quality of mine but will have to wait until next week to see if it’s made any difference. 1 in the oven and 1 in the freezer is a great position to be in. Fingers crossed for you. X

I can't comment on follicules but yours sound good :)

I'm ok still don't know what to do.. but I'm been in agony all day pains in my back an my tummy like I'm about to start my period an down my groin area aswell..

What will be will be I'm not positive about this at all

@Pattaz2711 have you made a decision about an extra scan before your clinic scan next week? Is DH on board with another scan?

@HT2101 I think 10 follicles is a good number - better to have a smaller number that are good quality and all fertilise rather than loads that are poor quality and don't all fertilise (this was my problem!).

I am 17dp5dt today. Got 2-3 weeks on CB digital yesterday at 16dp5dt but don't have another test to try today - ordered some more off Amazon and hopefully they'll be here so I can test with FMU tomorrow. Really hoping to see 3+. I'm really disappointed as my clinic aren't going to scan me until I'm 7+4 which seems ages away! Quite tempted to book a private scan for 6 weeks... Or do you think I should just wait?

How comes your clinic scans at that date? Spose ever clinic is different..
Which I've found being on here some clinics literally do everything..

I would only pay for a private scan at 6 weeks if hcg looked high enough or you had a past history of ectopic otherwise you are just going to stress yourself out if they can't see a heartbeat. I think hcg needs to be over 10,000 to see a heartbeat - if you've not had a 3+ yet then it means your hcg likely isn't over around 3,000 so I'd wait until around 6.5-7 weeks

I've seen heartbeats before only when I got 3+ at 22DPO or 17dp5dt
