Hello ladies, sorry for being quiet just feel so far behind you all since I’m still only stimming and I’m sulking slightly about the immune therapy ban at my clinic.

Good that you’re able to work mostly from home @elleceedee, certainly makes a difference not having to do the daily commute in to London.

@pattaz2711 when is your first scan? With those levels I’m with @Dbrook, think your buses may have turned up 😉

@Ails826 try not to stress too much about the day 5 update. It’s so difficult with so much info, my clinic seems to prefer frozen rather than fresh.

@Mrbay will be keeping everything crossed for you. Have you got some FRER in for Monday? Xx

Mrbay · 03/07/2020 13:55

@BabySweet85 - that's good then, I've just checked my emails and I have a ton of work for next week 🙈

@HT2101 - don't worry we have all been there, it's not a race. How you feeling on the stimms?
I'm not sure the steroids have even helped as I swear I'm out. Got a FRER and a digital and lots of cheapies but not buying any more - just need one to give me the result

@Ails826 - fingers crossed for day 5 update, how much longer have you got to wait?

Ails826 · 03/07/2020 14:02

@Mrbay saturday afternoon she said she would call. Im so scared. Each hurdle seems to get more and more terrifying

How are you feeling?

Evey43 · 03/07/2020 14:32

Hello, do you mind if I join?

I have been quietly reading your journeys over the last few days 👀, and it is comforting me during mine.

I had egg collection Wednesday so fingers crossed for transfer Monday! Xx

Mrbay · 03/07/2020 14:59

@ails826 - you had lots collected so I'm pretty sure you'll have lots of blastos 😊❤

Welcome @evey43 - how are you feeling about it all? If this your first cycle?

Me, well, I'm a negative Nelly today so I'm beat keeping my mouth shut!

Ails826 · 03/07/2020 15:06

@Mrbay yessss in also negative i shpuld of had my transfer tomorrow so im quitely gutted

@evey43 welcome ! Thats so exciting !! Xx

BabySweet85 · 03/07/2020 15:10

Welcome @Evey43 I hope collection went well. Good luck with your transfer.

@Ails826 that day 5 phonecall is difficult. I was so nervous picking up the phone. Fingers crossed for a good one.

Evey43 · 03/07/2020 15:40

@Mrbay thank you. Trying not to get overwhelmed most days but not feeling too bad today. Yes first cycle.

@Ails826 thank you 😊

@BabySweet85 thank you. Egg collection went well, 12 eggs and they rang this morning to say 10 have fertilised but a few are not so good quality. Fingers crossed.

Wishing you all well xx

Everhopeful35 · 03/07/2020 15:48

Hi ladies, sorry for the radio silence my end. I was getting myself so stressed about my hormone levels and didn't want to bring my anxiety to the group / lower the mood! The good news is that my levels have started doubling nicely and I'm now at 1,421 today, which the clinic are very pleased with. They've also lowered my progesterone pessaries because my levels are pretty high - I'm down from three to two a day now. Definitely not counting my chickens but I feel like I'm jumping over small hurdles and hopefully soon I can have my first scan. Fingers crossed! My OHSS has started to improve now too, which I'm so happy about.

@Ails826 I really hope you get good news. You had a good number of eggs though, so that helps! Waiting for the phone calls is the worst. I'd like to say it gets easier but it doesn't... I've spent the day almost in tears waiting to hear my next hormone level. This whole process is painful! How are your OHSS symptoms now.

@HT2101 I'm really sorry your clinic aren't doing the immune therapy. Have they given any indication of when they'll start it again?

@pattaz2711 Do you know when your first scan is likely to be? My clinic haven't said yet. I heard your hormones gave to be above a certain level - so I reckon you might have yours before me.

@Dbrook You mentioned you don't have many symptoms - me neither! The only thing I have is light-headedness. No sickness, which is odd, because I've had that in two previous pregnancies. But someone told me that steroids like the ones I'm on (prednisolone) can mask pregnancy symptoms. Are you on steroids?

Good luck to everyone in the 2ww, and welcome to the group @Evey43. Well done on getting through egg collection. I hope it went well!

pattaz2711 · 03/07/2020 15:58

@Evey43 welcome my sweet to the group good luck hope you are well..

@Ails826 you gave a great number collected as @Mrbay said your in for a good chance :) an number of blastocyst

@Everhopeful35 my scan is 15th so I'll be 7 weeks then... I'm 16dp5dt today I put 17 early day ahead lol... they don't do bloods at mine so they don't take it in to consideration I only had them done cause I was In a state.. glad everything is settling down for you.,

@HT2101 aw hun your not to fat behind.. remember some of us started before lockdown.. an stopped :) your doing great an we're here for you lovely all the way..

MorgenMuffel · 03/07/2020 16:00

@BabySweet85 I've been working in the office for at least 50% of the time during the whole thing as I'm a key worker and can't do my role from home. It's been keeping my mind off things really. I get the train into London but at the start was so quiet it didn't worry me at all. Getting a but busier now, but at least most people have been wearing masks. We are sat every other desk in the office and lots of sanitisier etc around, and one way systems for the stairs, virtual meetings and limits on people in lifts in kitchens. Feels pretty OK but as time goes on people are getting a bit lax with getting too close

BabySweet85 · 03/07/2020 16:06

@MorgenMuffel glad you are feeling okay about it. I am a key worker too so am very lucky I have been able to isolate for two weeks. It’s the same here, lots of sanitising and distance amongst adults but I work with children so social distancing can be difficult.

Everhopeful35 · 03/07/2020 16:18

@pattaz2711 I'm also 16dp5dt today. I'm glad you got your hormone level checked - it's reassuring, especially as yours are such a great level. In a way, I wish I didn't have to keep having mine checked because it's making me a nervous wreck. But my clinic are well known for over-testing, so just rolling with it.

BKB27 · 03/07/2020 17:30

Hi guys, hope we are all OK. Been a bit quiet as I've been starting my stims, on day 9. Been soo bloated and tired, no energy for anything! Had a scan today and had one follicle at 16 but others were a bit small so going for another scan Sunday. Hope all goes well and they can book in EC while I have time off. Had an invite for sister in laws baby shower today, felt all sorts of emotions, guilt (for being jealous - no judgment pls!) and sadness mainly. But I'm sure that's natural...
Can I ask those who have had their EC what it's like and what you took with you?

BabySweet85 · 03/07/2020 17:44

@BKB27 I had egg collection last week. I took my treatment diary, slippers, dressing gown, spare knickers, sanitary products and paracetamol. I also had my phone to call DH to arrange pick up as he wasn’t allowed on site.

In terms of what to expect, I nervously went into the room, they put the IV in and I have no recollection of anything until I woke up in the recovery room. It was completely painless.

Just as they let me leave they told me how many eggs they collected and how to proceed with medication.

I went straight to bed when I got home and slept. The next day I had pain again so just stayed in bed or sat on the sofa most of the day. The pain was definitely manageable for me with paracetamol.

Hope this helps.

BKB27 · 03/07/2020 17:54

Hi @BabySweet85 thanks for that, really helpful! They've asked DH to come with me on site on the day to give his sample but I'm guessing they will send him away after that. Better get some paracetamol sorted!

BabySweet85 · 03/07/2020 18:06

@BKB27 also I forgot to say - no perfume, deodorant, make up, false nails etc on the morning. Basically anything with a strong scent they said can be toxic to eggs/embryos.

BKB27 · 03/07/2020 18:12

@BabySweet85 thats great thanks. I was going to ask about deodorant!

HT2101 · 03/07/2020 18:33

@BKB27 Yup @BabySweet85 pretty much nailed everything in terms of what you need! I think all I took on my first one was a book and my phone. Natural to be nervous but it really is over and done with in a flash. Also try not to read too much in to what ever number eggs you get. Remember it only takes one xx

@Everhopeful35 thanks, the clinic were supposed to call me yesterday with an update on the steroids but didn’t hear anything. Trying not to get annoyed despite the amount I’m paying them!!! Great that your levels are so high, so nice to read about success levels.

@Mrbay which steroids are you on? Prednisolone?? So hard when negative nelly comes calling... hopefully positive Pam will turn up on Monday morning 😉 xx

Ails826 · 04/07/2020 08:41

@Everhopeful35 yes always something to worry about isnt there
Ummm i feel sick a lot of the time, i think the water is making me feel so stretched and gross and ofcourse I look 6 months pregnant but i feel i got off lightly because i can walk arouhf iv been going to work and things just getting no sleep from having to sleep sitting up ! Hoping itl past soon ! X

SKP77 · 04/07/2020 09:26

Hey all
I have been reading your updates and thank you all without you even knowing this thread has been helping me.
I've just had my egg collection yesterday. I have pcos so my hormones have been really high and thus have ohss. Which stupidly I was hoping wouldn't happen and I could do a fresh transfer but 2nd scan and blood test in was close to having my treatment cancelled. Luckily instead they dropped my Bemfola down to 50iu which is very low. Has anyone had gone that low? Anyway that scared me to as I was worried that I wouldn't develop enough eggs to 17mm. So was told I would have loads of eggs 26 but most likely majority of them bar a couple may be big enough. I hear later today if any of them are fertilised and any good. This is my first treatment and I've now started to feel thr effects of ohss since my ec. Lower back pains, cramps, tummy hurts and noticed my weight increasing. I know some of you have gone through it already or are having the symptoms now. How u managing it? I start work monday and I feel like crap at the moment. Could do with some advice.
Sorry for the long post I've been holding everything since starting and I guess I couldnt anymore and needed to just let it out.

elleceedee · 04/07/2020 09:26

@Ails826 that sounds so uncomfortable, I hope it eases up soon.

@HT2101 did you hear back from your clinic about the steroids?

@BKB27 good luck for your scan tomorrow.

I'm panicking as I've had quite a bit of spotting overnight - it's brown rather than red but there's quite a bit of it and surely this would be too late for implantation bleeding as it's OTD today and I've already had BFP on years for a while? I'm going to ring the clinic in a minute anyway as still getting very dark lines on FRER (darker than the control line today!) but I'm obviously still very worried.

OP posts:
elleceedee · 04/07/2020 09:27

And obviously that should be FRERs rather than years!

OP posts:
HT2101 · 04/07/2020 09:41

@elleceedee oh heck, not what you need. Hopefully you can get in touch with the clinic. Focus on your dark lines and also the fact the it’s more brown than red. Keep us posted, will be thinking of you. Xx

Welcome @SKP77, fingers crossed you get a positive phone call. I can’t comment on the bemfola as I’ve never taken that but the symptoms you’re describing do sound normal for after egg collection, but I’ve found usually only last a day or two so hopefully you’ll be ok for Monday.

Ails826 · 04/07/2020 10:10

@SKP77 hello! I have OHSS
I had over 36 follicles and they lowered my dosage to much lower although im in Aus so i think my drugs are different

Its brutal, I have been living off hydro drinks, 4 litres of water a day, heatpacks on my tummy and back, salty crisps and salty crackere, protein shakes and eating pretty muh only protein
My estrogen was 11000 and so i am on blood thinner injections and another tablet too
I went out and bought baggy dresses as I was also going back to work 2 days later so everyone at work obv thinks im pregnant because well I look it ! But the floaty dresses are making me feel better
I also take somethint caller P detox its from my natropath and actually think it had massivelu helped
And keepijg regular, iv had to take some light laxatives too as I was feeling ready to burst!
Its an awful feeling but it foes get better. I was supposed to have my transfer roday and i was feeling really sad about it but actually i still feel so bloated and gross i domt think i woilf have wanted anything inside me this month anyway so it is the best decision to make waiting and freezing js the right thing to do xx
