@BabySweet85- congrats being PUPO.

@Pattaz2711- glad to see you ( virtually) laugh. Check with the clinic to explain the results or ask for a copy Of the results . All the best love

Everhopeful35 · 29/06/2020 19:34

Thanks ladies. I've not been in a good state this afternoon. I know it's not the end of the world and the clinic still seemed fairly positive, but it triggered a complete anxiety attack. I feel so bad - DH just nipped out to the supermarket and I rang my parents and had a meltdown. Think I've really worried them now. I guess it all rests on what the hormone level is like tomorrow... I keep reading articles online about how, if you have OHSS badly, it can affect your HCG levels. Going to raise this with them tomorrow.

Eggling · 29/06/2020 20:29

@Babysweet85 congratulations on being PUPO!

@Pattaz2711 sorry your blood test hasn't cleared things up, could you give them a ring to check what the levels mean?

@Everhopeful35 oh love, so sorry you're having a rough time. As everyone has said, if the medics aren't concerned that's good news! It's so hard when you've already been through so much to get to this point and there's still a load of stress. I hope you manage to get some rest tonight.

pattaz2711 · 29/06/2020 21:47

@Dbrook how are you lovely

BabySweet85 · 29/06/2020 22:00

Anyone using embryo glue?

Zamzam21 · 29/06/2020 22:02

I've missed so much!

Congratulations to all those who've had lovely news and to those who haven't had such great news - lots of hugs and positive thoughts!

So I'm on day 9 of stims and had a scan today. The nurse said she saw a polyp amd measured it and said. She then said if the doctors feel its going to interfere with IVF then they will do a freeze all cycle.

I've had multiple scans before abd after lockdown and nothing has been picked up. Can high levels of hormones cause polyps?

So confused and worried. Any advice appreciated :(

Zamzam21 · 29/06/2020 22:03

Apologies for all the horrific spelling mistakes.

pattaz2711 · 29/06/2020 22:25

@Everhopeful35 hey I've just read something about hcg.. it's doubles every 48-72hours mostly 72hours.. a rise of up to 35% is still considered normal over 72 hours. Not sure if this helps..
Yours is still rising, which is a good thing..
xx

BabySweet85 · 29/06/2020 23:31

Hi @Zamzam21 I had a polyp removed in January - it measured 8mm to 1cm. They removed it because it can get in the way of an embryo implanting and people who have had them removed have gone on to have great success stories of implantation after. So it is best yo remove it and nothing to worry about.

It’s annoying it was only picked up after you started stims, but frozen transfers have just as good rates as fresh x

elleceedee · 30/06/2020 09:26

@Zamzam21 I've heard that a polyp removal can also act in a similar way to an endometrial scratch and makes the lining more receptive to implantation. I also think that if a polyp is under a certain measurement it won't affect implantation so they may just leave it alone, can you remember what your measurement was? I think polyps are pretty common and lots of women must get pregnant naturally without ever knowing they have polyps!

@Pattaz2711 that seems like a good HCG level. Did they want you to have another test to check it's doubling? How are you feeling today? Is OTD today or tomorrow sorry I can't remember.

@Everhopeful35 there's always something to worry about isn't there. I don't blame you for feeling stressed. I hope you had a good night's sleep and can get your questions answered today.

@Mrbay how are you doing pupo lady?

@HT2101 hope you're doing okay too!

elleceedee · 30/06/2020 09:29

@BabySweet85 that's a great grade for your embryo, you've got a great chance with that! Congratulations on being PUPO! I once read that once they out the embryo in its like putting a poppy seed in the middle of a slice of jam in toast - ie there's no way it can just fall out! I always wee really carefully afterwards though even though that's completely illogical!

Morning @elleceedee, heading to the clinic today for my first scan and hoping I’ll be able to start stims.

How you feeling, all still ok?

elleceedee · 30/06/2020 10:12

@HT2101 Good luck, hope all goes well at your scan! I'm doing alright thanks, I'm 8dp5dt today and still getting positives on FRERs and although they are getting a tiny but darker the the lines are pretty light so not feeling very confident to be honest!

Morning All

Sorry I've been just chilling since ET.

Progesterone is not my friend this time around as I keep having little butterfly cramps, if that is even a thing?!

@ht2101 - good luck with your scan!!

The TWW is already starting to get on my nerves and I am only 2 days into it!!

pattaz2711 · 30/06/2020 10:47

@elleceedee they didn't want to do one anyways it was me not sure if to have another one I'm waiting for the nurse to call back..
OTD is tomz.. when is yours again have you tested again?

@Everhopeful35 hope your ok today hun been thinking about you.. x

@Mrbay morning hun fingers crossed for you implantation ❤️..

@HT2101 good luck today huni xx

elleceedee · 30/06/2020 11:26

@Pattaz2711 my OTD is the 4th. I'm 8dp5dt today and have been getting faint lines on FRERs for the past few days but they are very faint so a but worried it's a chemical.

Hi ladies, thanks for all your messages. Quick update from me... went for another blood test this morning and my level had risen from 359 to 508 in 24 hours, so the clinic are happy with that. It means my HCG has more than doubled in 72 hours but not quite doubling every 48 hours. I've been asked to come back again for another blood test tomorrow and they said they will probably give me an IVIG drip too (it's part of the immune therapy I'm having - it's some kind of intralipid infusion designed to suppress the immune system, in case it's reacting against the foetus). We'll see what happens... given my history, I'm definitely feeling like I'm out of the woods. Just got to keep hoping the hormones go up.

@Mrbay Sorry to hear the 2WW is proving so agonising. It's such a stressful time. Try abc distract yourself as much as possible - we planned a few activities (trips to the beach / walks etc) to pass the time.

@elleceedee When is your OTD? It's good that the test lines are getting a bit darker. Are you testing at the same time each day?

@pattaz2711 Thanks for the advice you posted. This is basically what the clinic said to me - that my level is going up well in a 72 hour period and they are happy. The problem is, I started Googling (the worst thing!) and found lots of stories about people whose levels were a bit slower rising and so many of them didn't end well. Trying not to get too stressed and just take it day by day. Your HCG level is very high! Did you put two embryos in? Perhaps it's a multiple pregnancy?? When is your next HGC test, to see the rise?

pattaz2711 · 30/06/2020 12:10

@Everhopeful35 that's good news for you hun.. I googled it for you last night.. no I only had the one embryo.. I called my clinic this morning no reply as of yet..
I'm not sure if to go but have made another appointment for tomorrow anyways incase I change my mind..
you should be pleased that it's gone up that's amazing.. it does say 48-72 hours an all ladies are different. An even if it goes up 35% in 72 hours that's good :) seems very positive xx

BabySweet85 · 30/06/2020 12:28

The clinic haven’t phoned to let me know if my last embryo is suitable for freezing. Do they just not phone if its not suitable? Or do they phone either way?

Mrbay · 30/06/2020 12:46

@elleceedee - hopefully they are getting darker but it's still early.

@Everhopeful35 - that's really good news but stay away from Google!!

@babysweet85 - mine has always just sent a letter - this time its online but I cannot remember my password and the reset isn't working!

Ails826 · 30/06/2020 12:49

Its so awful all of us seem to feel the same about the phone calls. I know they must have a lot of people to call for all sorrs of things but maybe if they could just sschedule you in like we will call between 10 and 12 or 2 and 4 i would feel better

I called today and was so awkard I haaatteee confrontation so im on the phone lkke oh hi umm hello sirry to bother you i havnt had a cal and i was worried i had missed it and i dont want to pester but i just wanted to see etc etc i sound ridic as if pur eggs are directlt linked to how nice i am to the nurses and clinic haha !

Umm does anyone else get an app to see photos of the embryos developing? Im not sure how i feel about it haha

HT2101 · 30/06/2020 13:18

@Mrbay @elleceedee @Pattaz2711
Thanks ladies, just back from the clinic. Got the all clear to start my stims but was told they won’t let me start the immune therapy. Which means should I manage to get any to blasto stage then they’ll all have to go in the freezer. No fresh cycle for me.

BabySweet85 · 30/06/2020 17:25

The clinic phoned and our last embryo didn't make it. So one in me now and one in the freezer.

elleceedee · 01/07/2020 07:59

@BabySweet85 sorry to hear your last embryo didn't make it but hopefully you won't need it with the one you have on board plus the one in the freezer! How are you feeling?

@HT2101 that is incredibly frustrating that you will have to do a freeze all. Did they say when it would be likely you could do a FET with immune therapy?

@Ails826 my clinic doesn't offer that, just a pic of the embryo on the day of transfer! Have you had an update about the embryos yet?

@Pattaz2711 good luck for your call to the clinic today to confirm your BFP, hopefully you'll get a scan date confirmed today too - exciting!

It's 9dp5dt for me today and I can't believe I'm saying this after initially completely writing this cycle off because the lines were so faint but today I got a definite BFP - line is getting much darker all of a sudden! I'm delighted but terrified!
