@Zamzam21 follicles being small on the first scan doesn't necessarily mean anything. I had some tiny ones on mine which grew a lot in a few days. Fingers crossed, it will be the same for you.

Embryo transfer today. They asked if I wanted one or two transferred as I had two very good ones apparently. They did then ask how I'd lost my son to see if that influenced the decision. Having to explain the entirely random and tragic circumstances upset me. The upshot was that they recommended a single transfer so I went with that.

They showed me the embryo on the screen and gave me a photo to take away after. I've been very weepy since. Seeing that embryo on the screen was overwhelming. And then thinking of my boss' comment about the chances being low. I drove home via my son's plot and spent the afternoon laying down. It's so hard. I guess I thought that after everything I'd been through, I had a thicker skin.

@Georgina125 I'm so sorry for your loss and that you had to go through the details of the story today, at what is already an emotional time. Please don't focus on how small the chances are - you have two good embryos and that's amazing news! People say the stupidest and most hurtful things - even people you count as good friends. We are all here for you xx

@BabySweet85 Well done on your eight eggs. It's quality not quantity and that's a good number.

Thanks for all the congrats everyone and for that chart @ivfgottostaypositive - that's so helpful and reassuring. My clinic want me to be over 100 by Saturday, on my OTD - hoping my hormones continue to go in the right direction!!

@Mrbay thanks for the reassurance. I am eating brazil nuts as I'm typing this. Lets hope they do something! I just got a call from a nurse saying they want me to start Cetrotide tommorow. I'm on 4th day of injections. Does that sound about right?

I'm a skeptic. Are they rushing things?

@georgina125 I am deeply sorry for your loss, its incomprehensible to anyone I'm sure. I'm a big believer that a difficulty in life passes and gives you blessings ten times over. I echo what everyone had said and focus on the two amazing embryos you have!

@Everhopeful35 Huge congratulations that's wonderful news!

@BabySweet85 I'm so sorry they couldn't find your left ovary. Eight is a great number just from one. I know its old but it only takes one!

@Everhopeful35 you're right. I shouldn't focus on the statistics, I mean I can see right here on this thread that it can work for people. And it's amazing to see. I wonder if the progesterone is making me moody.

No that's sounds ok - they make the decision based on your estrogen levels vs LH levels so all cetrotide does is prevent you having an LH surge to high that could make you ovulated on your own x

Btw , congratulations to everyone who is getting good news. It is so well deserved. X

@georgina125 - sorry that you had to retale your story, I'm really sorry that you had a loss and then had to justify your reasoning for transferring your embryos. Hope you have a great time being PUPO.

@zamzam11 - sorry I can't help as I've not used those drugs before but I would assume that they are the experts on this 😊

@Georgina125 echo what the other warriors on here are saying. You’ve been through enough without having to relive something like that on what is already a stressful day. You should be giving yourself a big hug for getting to PUPO stage, and having one in the freezer takes the pressure of this first passenger a little bit.

I stand by the fact that unless you’ve gone through IVF you really can never appreciate just what it’s like. Right back to legs up the wall and beetroot juice...

Am thinking to try acupuncture same day of ET with Mark..any thoughts and advice on this ladies.
@Mrbay - that’s great...Fx for good quality ones. I also suffer with fibroids & mine is size of a grape . I asked the consultant who said the type of fibroid whether extrinsic or not matters a lot .
@Everhopeful35 - sorry for the pain & a big , congrats for the BFP !!!..how are you feeling this evening .
@BabySweet85- sorry love , fingers crossed you get good ones from right ovary for ET.

I didn't think you'd be able to get acupuncture at the moment??

I have to say I've used acupuncture for 3 previous transfers and also a natural conception - I had 2 BFN, a miscarriage and an ectopic......I haven't bothered with this transfer as I just assumed they weren't allow to open yet and still got a BFP so I'm a bit sceptical of it now......

One thing the acupuncturist said to try at home after ET was when having a relaxing moment put both hands on your stomach in your uterus area and imagine the embryo implanting with whatever imagery comes to mind - so I imagined a tree putting down roots and growing.....did this lots at home last week .....who knows if it made a difference! 🤣

@EffortIsSuccess20 I’ve have had acupuncture a couple of times in the past 2 weeks since my guy started up again. He wears a mask, I wear a mask so it’s not quite the usual serene experience but pleased to have been back.

Thanks ladies! I'm a bit nervous, if I'm honest. We only had our last loss (a very early one at 5 weeks) in April, just before we did IVF, and the memory of it is fresh still. I know how important it is for the HCG to double and last time it didn't go anywhere. I'm scared this will happen again. Hoping we get good news on tomorrow's blood results. Wish me luck xx

Pain is so bad I can barely walk, but DH has just gone out for an emergency Magnum run so that will be a good distraction!!

@EffortIsSuccess20 - fingers crossed for tomorrow! Oh your consultant's opinion is a little concerning but it sounds like 60% or more of woman of child bearing age have fibroids but many manage to have successful pregnancies.

Apparently laughing after transfer helps with implantation, so get your fav comedian up and ready go!

I'm also awaiting the day 3 update. I'm quite anxious about it tbh - every stage in this process is nerve-wracking! Distracting myself as we welcomed our rescue cat today so I'm focussing on getting her settled and giving her lots of fuss.

Ah @Eggling Lots of us on here are crazy cat ladies! I have 3 which are baby substitutes 😻

@Eggling I got 2 kittens a few months ago and they have been such a comfort to me. They are so crazy and funny! I'll be down or stressed about something, then one of them will do something insane like chase their tail round and round or bat a clothing peg around the house and I'll be laughing. I am fully a crazy cat lady and I love it.

Yeah I'm besotted with her already! We've wanted to get a cat since we moved in to our house last year, we were just about to when lockdown happened and the shelters all stopped homing round here. She's settling well and really friendly and I am definitely directing a lot of baby-feelings towards her but I don't care 😊

Morning all, I have been up since 4.30am Very anxious about day-3 embryology call today.
Thanks @ivfgottostaypositive @HT2101, is it wise to do acupuncture on the actual day of transfer. I have never done it before , but am willing to give this a try .

@Mrbay - I have had 2 natural miscarriages and this might be the reason he was brought this up. But am being badass positive that I Still got a high chance of full-term Pregnancy, then have them removed during the elective Csection delivery.

Has anyone done embroglue this cycle ?

I'm still chasing the elusive 3+ weeks - was really hoping to get it today but the inside test strips look really dark so hoping to get it tomorrow 🤞🤞
