Phew, what a busy day in the office! Barely had time to think about anything, which meant I wasnt picking up every little twinge which is good. Did mean I ate a bit too much sugar, but about to finish off dinner with some cashews and pineapple!
@Mrbay it wasn't too different to pre-covid really. My fresh transfer was just as COVID was kicking off, so the Dr was already wearing a facemask, visor etc. The main differences were a temp check on entry to the building and having to wear a mask myself. I've not been told to isolate but do remember seeing something in the giant form I had to sign about people being tested and then self isolating for fresh cycles - I guess perhaps as there will be more prolonged contact during EC?
@elleceedee no, I have never tested early, and in fact usually don't have any tests in the house! Occasionally in the early days of TTC I tested on the day my period is due, but I usually just wait for AF to show up - I hate the double whammy of a BFN and then AF turning up to rub salt into the wound. I have seen too many threads on here about people agonising over whether it is a line or not that I feel it just adds to the stress of it all. I do have a FRER in the cupboard left from my previous cycle, so will just take that on Thurs. Currently trying to decide whether I should go into the office or have a WFH day - obvs will be upset if it is negative but it might take my mind off it if it is....
@Ails826 welcome! Sounds tough being away from home and it all happening quickly. As others have said, I wouldn't worry too much about the AMH numbers - especially as sounds like you have lots of follices. My scans have never shown that many and I don't have any known AMH issues.
@BKB27 glad your appointment went well, and not long to go until you get started by the sounds of things. You are right, the lovely weather has definately been helping me keep calm and happy lately - although suncream + hormones is wreaking havock with my skin! I have so many spots :(
@ivfgottostaypositive glad your scan was ok, although must be frustrating to have to wait to start stimming. I didn't start until about day 5 last cycle and still got good numbers of embryos at the other end.
@RosettaR @Ails826 I've been fairly open with a lot of people about us having IVF. Immediate family on both sides know, as well as a fair few friends - some of my friends have had it in the past / are currently on clomid, so i think that helps as I can ask them questions. I have also been reasonably open with it at work as I have found it less stressful if my boss and close colleagues know what is going on so I can just say I've got an appointment rather than worrying that people are going to start getting funny with being out of the office so much. Also, its a massive thing in my life and could affect how I am, and have found talking about it has made people more understanding. However, I know that approach really isn't for everyone - especially having to tell people when it hasn't worked.
Sorry for my mammoth reply, and sorry if I have missed anyone!
