Hi

Couldn't see a thread for May/June - hoping that I'm not on my own for this cycle as its our 2nd cycle and feeling worried that I won't get to transfer.

Would be great to share the ups and downs with others, I'm starting buserelin next Wednesday (27th May).

ivfgottostaypositive · 21/06/2020 09:40

@Pattaz2711

I usually just test in the morning as soon as I wake up. I drink a lot of water during the day so I wouldn't be able to hold it long enough in the afternoons/evening to get a concentrated enough sample x

Pattaz2711 · 21/06/2020 09:41

@elleceedee I keep meaning to tag you for good luck an I'm just tagging happy and tagged the wrong you again..
I don't feel so crazy when I speak to you guys and testing.. cause I have no friends or family around me I think of you's as my friend and family lol.. thank you x

@Eggling I think I'm tag happy today

Eggling · 21/06/2020 09:45

@Pattaz2711 I can see something! Keeping everything crossed for you!

Sorry @Mrbay you're right I tagged the wrong poster! Enjoy your injection free day tomorrow. I was on tenterhooks waiting for trigger time yesterday and was nervous about it but it was fine 😊

Everhopeful35 · 21/06/2020 09:56

@Pattaz2711 Good luck!! I don't think I'm brave enough to test early. My OTD is Saturday, night do one the night before so that I can prepare myself if it's bad news. Can you remind me, have you been having cramps? I had no symptoms at all yesterday and was starting to stress, then some period-like cramps began in the evening and I've woken up with them again this morning. I'm hoping it's a good sign... had cramps with two previous pregnancies but don't want to get my hopes up.

@Eggling Great news that you've done your trigger. I remember being so nervous about that / getting timing just right etc. It's a relief when it's done!

Everhopeful35 · 21/06/2020 09:58

@Pattaz2711 By the way, can def see the line on your test! Is it pink or grey in real life? Looks grey on image but I know they don't photograph well.

Pattaz2711 · 21/06/2020 10:06

@Everhopeful35 pink in real life.. lol.. I did Do a clear blue digital one an it was negative. But I know clear blue aren't that sensitive as @ivfgottostaypositive has said before I think

Mrbay · 21/06/2020 10:12

@elleceedee - I love that!! I've also go The Final Count Down going through my head now!! Lol!

What's your plans?

I think I'm gonna be in the early testing, but may have to order a few more FRE but will wait until I've got something in the oven before I purchase

@Pattaz2711 i see it i always found the line better on second urine so a hold after my first for at least 4 hrs with little liquid also the clear blue digis are not a sensitive you will need a good line on the frer before it picks it up xxx

Pattaz2711 · 21/06/2020 10:39

@MrsLouB thanks hun.. I'm such a nightmare I was so sure I was going to wait now I'm like joe.. an now I've seen that I'm even more adamant.. how you feeling anyways my sweet?

Pattaz2711 · 21/06/2020 11:48

@Everhopeful35 yeh still getting period pains there easing a little but but still painful an weeinf more aswell

BabySweet85 · 21/06/2020 12:11

Hi all - just got back from my D11 scan. Got 7/8 follicles on the right. They still couldn’t find the left ovary. They ended up finding it on a tummy scan. There are 3 follicles over 17mm on that side. So looks like 10/11 follicles in total. Not sure of thats a good number or not. Looks like 8 are a decent size in total.

EC is Wednesday.

So we are having ICSI - what are your thoughts on DH’s abstinence? How many days?

Camfan1 · 21/06/2020 12:33

Hi, I think I’m looking for a bit of reassurance!! I had my transfer on Thursday and am now at the overthinking stage! Im constantly worried that I’m going to do something that will effect the embryo implanting etc. I moved my leg to look at the bottom of my foot today and then worried that could have effected my chances!

Did you (or are you planning to) carry on pretty much as normal? I.e moving around as normal, working etc but just nothing crazy like lifting excessively heavy things or doing an aerobics routine! I’m second guessing everything I do and I’m driving myself crazy! I’m constantly worried I’m going to do something wrong!

ivfgottostaypositive · 21/06/2020 12:36

@BabySweet85

I've always had sex/asked him to sort himself out (🤦‍♀️) around 5 days before and then again the night of the trigger - I know the literature says 2-5 days but I was also told that too long between sex and him giving his sample can also increase risk of sperm fragmentation

ivfgottostaypositive · 21/06/2020 12:39

@Camfan1

I've largely carried on as normal - I even had to carry my 2 1/2 stone daughter home from a walk the day after transfer so I wouldn't worry too much. I read once that once it starts implanting there is very little than you can do to stop the process if it's a healthy embryo

Also my only successful pregnancy so far out of 9 was the one with my DD - I tested 2 days before my period and got a BFN so went out drinking to drown my sorrows and also went on loads of upside down fairground rides and it didn't hurt her! This is Compared to all my other pregnancies/IVF Transfer where I've been too scared to lift a finger for weeks and they've failed anyway xx

Camfan1 · 21/06/2020 13:10

@ivfgottostaypositive thank you so much, that really has reassured me! This process (and the meds lol) really mess with my head! Sounds like you’ve had a long ivf journey xx

@BabySweet85 I was told the same thing as ivfgottostaypositive - my dh did it two days before EC and we had 100% fertilisation rate xx

BabySweet85 · 21/06/2020 13:25

@ivfgottostaypositive and @Camfan1 - we have timed it so that it is 5 days before but as DH has a low sperm count didn’t want to do it too close to collection. Did you do ICSI? Just want to get it right!

MorgenMuffel · 21/06/2020 13:30

@elleceedee good luck for ET tomorrow.

@hjf84 @mrsloub fx for your tests tomorrow

ivfgottostaypositive · 21/06/2020 13:37

@BabySweet85

Yes all our rounds have been ICSI x

MrsLouB · 21/06/2020 15:49

@BabySweet85 just wanted to wish you well on the DH subject its normally around 3 days and no more than 5 you have to have enough time to have have fresh sperm there so 3 days is good and too long and they start to go down. Also depends on DH count if normal and mobility ..

@Camfan1 the only thing would be really heavy lifting also depends on fresh and frozen transfers as on fresh your ovaries etc are still swollen with blood after the eggs and fluid is removed...i always just stay away from lifting to much and reduce exercise to low impact

Pattaz2711 · 21/06/2020 17:22

Can I ask if I had a transfer Wednesday at 1:30 5 days blastocyst how many days am I past.. I feel like absolute s&@t today
