Hi

Couldn't see a thread for May/June - hoping that I'm not on my own for this cycle as its our 2nd cycle and feeling worried that I won't get to transfer.

Would be great to share the ups and downs with others, I'm starting buserelin next Wednesday (27th May).

Hi Ladies, can I join too please. Have been back at the Lister today and will start 3 ICSI cycle but this time will try immune therapy as apparently by natural killer cells do too good a job and have attacked previous embryos. Good luck all!

@MrsLouB @Wesstywoo Yes ladies! Positive thinking (although this will be number four for me!)

AF is on her way. Had an angry hour earlier today where I snapped at OH for no reason 😂 - I'm doing natural modified like a couple of people here so I won't start meds until at least day 5, when my first scan is 👍🏻

Hi, can I hop on please? Due to have my first FET on tuesday after a failed fresh cycle just as lockdown was setting in. Massive shock as didn't think my clinic would be open for this cycle so was mentally gearing up for June. Had a scan at CD8 last Friday and follice and lining were almost ready! A tense weekend of OPKs to see if I got my LH surge naturally but as I didn't I was back on Monday and my follicle "was huge". Had to delay trigger injection though (whilst still doing OPKs) as they found some mucous in my uterus during the scan, and need to be scanned before transfer to check its gone, and they don't scan on the weekend. Had trigger on Tues, started cyclogest today and rescan on Mon morning. If all ok tranfer Tues afternoon! So nervous as it's not been the simplest of cycles!

@takingthistooseriously the best advice a friend gave me is to get some posh chocs and have one after each injection. I can recommend Holdworth sea salt caramel truffles Grin They definately get easier the more you do them, you'll be a pro in no time.

Thanks @MorgenMuffel good tip! I at least didn't make myself bleed today but it's a shame I can't booze the problem away!

Hello to all the new joiners!

@HJF84 lol my DH has had all the last few ive been up and down like AF was about to start and she was two weeks away god help him now lol.

My AF arrived on Thursday but it seems to have already stopped by today, not massively un norml for me as they have gotten so light over the years i think another sign my lining had thinned out over the years. But for some reason is worrying me do you think i should let the clinic know? I had a heavy one after the mc bleed and another since so dont think there are any issues x

@MrsLouB Someone at work called it the 'Corona Coaster' and I've been riding that for the last two months for sure!

I would mention it to them for sure. I always have short, light periods. When we started our TTC journey it's the first thing I mentioned, as I thought it could be a lining issue, but every scan and every cycle the Drs tell me I have a great lining! Shame I don't have the eggs to match 🙄

You're doing FET right? Are you doing it medicated or unmedicated? My last two cycles were medicated FETs, but I've run out now so it's back to a fresh cycle.

Thanks @MorgenMuffel - they went well but did feel them make an impact - dosage is low so will see how it goes - scan on Monday 🤞

Eek. I started spotting today, which is expected as AF is due Monday but now I'm a bag of nerves. As I'm on natural modified I don't start stims until at least my day 5 scan. I've been so excited to get started again and now I'm feeling all nervous. Waaaaaaaa! Anyone else feeling this way?

Hi @HJF84 sorry been putting up garden furniture lol. Im on a medicated cycle again as the protocol worked last time and we where pregnant consultant said to keep the same but adding lubion on. So started the freymdel (sorry cant spell it) and estrogen patches now my lining is always an issue didnt get above 6 on the fresh cycle but they didnt measure at egg collection but last time i was day 16 and still 6.7 with the patchs. I would love for it to get to 9mm. I am trying all i can vits, fertility yoga and massage to help apart from acupuncture given the circumstances.

So are you on a fresh cycle again now then? I dont know if i could go through that again was so uncomfortable at egg collection and after xxx

HJF84 · 23/05/2020 13:53

@MrsLouB Yes it's a fresh cycle for me. I'd hoped that I wouldn't have to go through it again! I am fine with egg collection. I hate the wait to know if we get any five day blastos. My last three cycles didn't produce the best quality embryos. In fact, the first two didn't get any blastos to 5 days that were good enough quality. We used ICSI for my last cycle and managed to get two blastos from it. Both poor quality but good enough for transfer. Neither was successful. I've upped my supplements since then so I'm hoping for a better selection this time.

I did two medicated FETs, both with lubion. And I'll be using lubion this cycle too. Get ready for the progesterone sweats! I get so hot at night and it's the extra progesterone. It sounds like we have the opposite problem! Send me some of your good egg quality luck and I'll send you my good lining luck Wink

Ooh lovely! Good luck with the garden furniture - just what you want for the next week - we're going to have lovely weather ☀️

MrsLouB · 23/05/2020 17:33

Hey @HJF84 have you been taking Q10 a hear that helps with egg quality. Oh god that wait is worse than the 2ww we where very lucky on ours we did icsi and have 9 mature collected and 7 took and 3 made it to day 5 we had to As and a very good C which is what we are left with now..

I am sending you positive egg vibes ...have a good feeling bout this for you xx

It all feels outta of control sometimes i obsess with how to make my lining thick etc but i can only do all i am doing and i have to take more of a controlled relaxed approach this time lol

Yes its all up so i hope to enjoy some time out there this weekend nit today tho it bloody rained as we put it out! I work most of the week tho so lunch breaks in the sun for me x

Is it wrong that I actually look forward to egg collection - the sedation bit especially - it's the best sleep I get ( I have a 4 year old who still doesn't sleep through the night 😬)

I feel a bit sad that this will be our last ever egg collection (unless we win the lottery). I think it's maybe because I don't have any tubes left now so getting pregnant naturally will never happen for us (I found out I was pregnant with DD just as I was due to start IVF drugs 5 years ago and I suppose I've always clung on to hope that the same could happen again)

@MrsLouB Yes I'm taking coq10 and ubinqinol, which is a stronger version. I didn't take this for my last three cycles and I've been on it for 6 months now - so I'm hoping for some good quality eggs! I wish you a strong happy and healthy lining! Eat lots of lovely leafy veg! I'm working during the week and spending my lunch break in the garden. Tomorrow is supposed to be nice, with Monday even better! So lots of opportunity to use it.

@ivfgottostaypositive I don't have a four year old and I love the sedation. Best bit about the whole process - apart from getting a BFP! I always have a nap when I get home and that's usually a really good nap too 😂

@HJF84 yes I am feeling exactly the same, all over the place in fact. I tool coq10 for about 3 months before my fresh cycle and am sure it contributed to our success - 8 eggs, 7 fertilised and 6 high quality blasts, so hopefully will have helped you toom

Have convinced myself its an implantaton issue though and I'll just carry on putting them back in and having bfn after bfn Sad

Report
HJF84 · 23/05/2020 22:07

@MorgenMuffel That's really encouraging to hear. Hopefully I am the same 🤞🏼

My clinic are also considering me for implantation failure. I had a round of blood tests that indicated I have a gene mutation that affects the way my blood clots. This means that there is a minimal risk that blastos won't implant, so I'll be taking inhixia with this cycle, another injection! It's a blood thinner, just like an aspirin. Could you see it your clinic offers these tests? They offered them to me after three failures, I wish they had offered them sooner!

Thats amazing about your DD and something i think we all hang onto i do., i did it lst cycle like wouldn't it be great if we had this miracle and could save our last embryo.. i was looking forward to this to and have been apprehensive becos like you i know its my last try but i have told myself over and over i am doing all i can medically and physically i can do no more xxx
