Hi

Couldn't see a thread for May/June - hoping that I'm not on my own for this cycle as its our 2nd cycle and feeling worried that I won't get to transfer.

Would be great to share the ups and downs with others, I'm starting buserelin next Wednesday (27th May).

Morning ladies, just got back from our first follicle scan .

Congrats @ivfgottostaypositive so so happy for you . Congratulations !

@MrsLouB sending all the good wishes & hugs too.

@Wesstywoo so sorry about the news . How are you today .

@Mrbay Today is stim 6D and have had no symptoms. Keep thinking if there is anything happening then I tell myself maybe it’s all the supplements doing it’s job too .

@elleceedee good luck with your scan today .

This morning follicle scan updated .
F.Counts -7, F.Size two-12mm, 2-10mm&3-below 8mm.
Lining - 6.7mm

Meds - Gonal F increased from 112.5 to 225
Next scan on 16th.

I was very anxious this morning until I think both ovary had been left at home but they finally showed up when the 2nd Doctor searched for them ....the advice of*@ivfgottostaypositive* that - it’s all about the quality and not the numbers kept me calm this morning. Thanks.

Hope everyone is okay . Let’s continue to take it a day a a time lucky ladies. Am praying for you all .

Dbrook · 15/06/2020 10:47

@ivfgottostaypositive She didn’t say which grade it was and I forgot to ask. I’ll ask her when she calls tomorrow with the update on the other one.

@EffortIsSuccess20 sounds like the scan went well! My follicle count differed at every scan so you could have more turn up still.

MrsLouB · 15/06/2020 11:11

@Dbrook great news on your blast so good to have some freeze

@EffortIsSuccess20 sounds like a great first scan and the little increase will help i am sure it did for me.

MrsLouB · 15/06/2020 11:13

@takingthistooseriously yeah we do but he gets notifications for it to so sees whats on the way

@Mrbay i do include him but he doesnt want to think or talk about it to much becos of what happened last time. He also doesnt want me to test early as he said there is no point and takes it away from us both on the day

ivfgottostaypositive · 15/06/2020 11:20

@MrsLouB

I'm going to wait as long as possible to tell DH. We've never tested together before ever. He's too scared because of what's happened before - I'm probably stronger than he is so I guess I want to shelter/protect him a bit - this will be our 8th pregnancy with one DD.

@effortissuccess20

Great follicle numbers and the good thing is that they are fairly similar in size!

I'm definitely an example of quality over quantity - the two blastocysts I have on board at the moment were both from the cycle where I only got 2 eggs

Eggling · 15/06/2020 11:34

Congratulations @ivfgottostaypositive that all looks great!

I also had my first scan this morning @EffortIsSuccess20, sounds like we might be cycle buddies! I have a couple just over 11mm, 5 around 10, 4 at 9 and 8 at 8mm. I've got polycystic ovaries so they're likely to go a bit mad! Waiting for bloods results to see if I carry on Bemfola at 125 or drop it to 112.5, they're going to call this afternoon if I need to. Next scan is on Wednesday. I'm glad things seem to be going ok so far but worried about OHSS, I'd like to get a fresh embryo transferred if we're lucky enough to get to that stage rather than doing a freeze all cycle but if my ovaries get carried away that might be off the cards.

ivfgottostaypositive · 15/06/2020 11:38

@Eggling

Wow great number! 🤞🤞 no OHSS - did they say what your e2 levels were? My first cycle I had early stage OHSS and e2 levels were through the roof which is why they said no to a fresh transfer xx

Eggling · 15/06/2020 11:42

@ivfgottostaypositive I think they're going to check that with today's bloods. They didn't seem concerned though, and I haven't had any noticeable symptoms which I'm hoping is a good sign! Just another game of wait and see I suppose - like everything to do with ivf!

MrsLouB · 15/06/2020 11:49

@ivfgottostaypositive we tested once together on our first MC but then after that i have always tested and shown him as i am a really bad liar and if he asks which he does as he know i do, then i tell him. So over the last 4 times we have bfps he has normally known after and also been there when we start to see them fade. Our last one was probably the best and worse as it was so strong still even up to the day of the scan xxx so i get it i want to prepare me so i can be strong for him...also i just really want to be looking at a test even if im obsessing over if there is a line or not

MrsLouB · 15/06/2020 11:50

@Eggling some great numbers there on and heres to no OHSS and a fresh transfer xx

EffortIsSuccess20 · 15/06/2020 11:53

@ivfgottostaypositive @Dbrook, @MrsLouB thanks for the kind words of encouragement. Am hopeful the meds will do some little more magic and we get a surprise on EC. #Quality-Mode!

@Eggling Great news indeed from your scan . My next scan on wed too . Good luck cycle buddy.

Everhopeful35 · 15/06/2020 12:28

Afternoon ladies, how is everyone doing? I just got back from my transfer. The clinic called this morning and told me that we only had six embryos left in the running - three are low to mid grade, one was a super high quality one that they wanted to transfer today (day 3) and two are doing well and they will leave them to mature to (fingers crossed) blastocyst stage. I was disheartened initially that from 17 eggs we've ended up with only six embies. Even the embryologist said that he was surprised we'd lost so many, but apparently some of the eggs didn't respond well to the ICSI. I'm with you @ivfgottostaypositive - choosing to focus on quality not quantity! It only takes one, I guess...

Eggling · 15/06/2020 13:33

Thanks everyone - we've not told anybody irl that we've started treatment so it's nice to have this thread!

@Everhopeful35 it sounds promising to have one really good one in - definitely just need one lucky one! Fingers crossed 🤞 for you. I hope you've got some relaxing things planned over the next few days!

MorgenMuffel · 15/06/2020 13:34

@DBrook great news about having one to freeze, and hopefully the one on board will be doing even better!

@UncleBrynsfishingtrip I've only been on cyclogest pessaries post transfer, but with my previous failed cycle, as I hadn't had a bleed I was told to test again in two days after my OTD, and to keep taking the medication until then. With this currently successful cycle I will keep taking them until 12 weeks - although I only have enough to take my to my viability scan and will get some more if all is well then.

If anyone is interested, and just to go to show how variable symptoms are to try and help people stop stressing too much, I've compared myself pre BFP to the list that @ivfgottostaypositive generated:

Boobs - a bit sore, but mine always hurt at least a week before my period is due
Cramps - a few, but I also have IBS so could never really tell what they were due to!
Backache - yes, but I have chronic pain so normal for me. Had some hip pain which is unusual.
Sickness - none
CM - none
Implantation bleeding - none
Floaty feeling/hungover feeling - not before BFP, but a few days afterwards
Sense of smell - no
Dizziness - no
Feeling hungry - no
Feeling tired - yes, sleeping has become a massive issue for me

the main thing I noticed was a massive increase in my thirst levels about one or two days before my BFP - I'm talking 5-6 litres not being enough! And then connected to that needing to wee a lot.

@Ivfgottostaypositive, can't believe your OTD is so far away! I would have definately tested early in your shoes. I've not done any since my BFP, but did get some extras in case of bleeding etc. I might take one the day of my viability scan though just to prepare myself if it is bad news.

@Pattaz2711 as others have said, its normal to feel down. Hope you are feeling a little brighter soon.

@egg@Eggling@EffortIsSuccess20 great news from your scan, a nice lot of follicles there and still plenty of time for more to grow

@Everhopeful35 congrats on being PUPO! It is disappointing when numbers drop, but you've got a great chance with this one and then sounds like you'll get some to freeze too.

@elleceedee hope your scan went well.

MrsLouB · 15/06/2020 14:28

thanks for the list @MorgenMuffel i dont think any about of this would help us not to stress when you are waiting for the BFP it drives us crazy. hence the google and checking out other people symptoms lists it passes them time. Glad your doing well and i bet you are counting the days till your scan x

Like me nothing nudda apart from the normal cramps on and off like i am about to get my period which i know i am not as the medication i am stops any bleeding but doesnt mean my body knows that. They only way to know for sure is to take the test....such a long way a away still.

MorgenMuffel · 15/06/2020 15:18

@MrsLouB i know, its such a horrible wait - doesn't stop the stress once the BFP arrives either - and by no means do I think I'll be able to remove it for everyone! Hopefully a little reminder though that every person and every pregnancy is different to try and help stop the spiral if you google and find something that doesn't match x

Pattaz2711 · 15/06/2020 15:22

@MrsLouB

thnak you hun how are you feeling? Have you been kind to yourself today?

@ivfgottostaypositive

MrsLouB · 15/06/2020 15:29

elleceedee · 15/06/2020 15:49

I had my scan this morning and lining (on CD8) is 7.2mm. They want me to start cyclogest on Wednesday ready for transfer on Monday. It all seems really quick and like my lining isn't ready?! My lining on CD8 with DD was 9mm! Oh well they said it was fine... Off to neck some pomegranate juice and lie with my legs up the wall Grin

Thank you for the symptoms update during 2ww @MorgenMuffel and @ivfgottostaypositive that is really helpful for my 2ww soon!

MrsLouB · 15/06/2020 16:07

Pattaz2711 · 15/06/2020 16:22

UncleBrynsfishingtrip · 15/06/2020 16:44

I’ve got my down reg scan this week.
What will happen? Are they just looking to see if everything has switched off?

Also what is the next step after the scan? I know I have to start taking pessaries soon. Sorry for all the questions but first time i’ve got this far! Xx
