Hi

Couldn't see a thread for May/June - hoping that I'm not on my own for this cycle as its our 2nd cycle and feeling worried that I won't get to transfer.

Would be great to share the ups and downs with others, I'm starting buserelin next Wednesday (27th May).

Thanks everyone! It's much darker in real life - definitely no squinting required! This is the darkest test I've ever had at this stage but I did transfer two....

In case anyone wondering about symptoms thought I'd list some out as I know I've spent so many hours on google over the last few days as I've been panicking about lack of symptoms - even if this doesn't progress that will be down to my specific recurrent miscarriage history rather than lack of early pregnancy symptoms

Boobs - feel normal. In fact last month they were much more sore than this and I definitely wasn't pregnant
Cramps - none
Backache - none - I've had a bad back every morning since my c section 4 years ago due to nerve damage from the spinal
Sickness - none
CM - maybe, a couple of occasions of greeny/yellow snot like but only if I was really looking for it
Implantation bleeding - none
Floaty feeling/hungover feeling - maybe? But I'm also anxious, stressed out and not sleeping properly which could explain that
Sense of smell - no
Dizziness - maybe a couple of times if I stood up too quick? But again could be due to stress
Feeling hungry - no
Feeling tired - not anymore than usual

(Oh and I did a cheapy one step test this morning that I found and it was impossible to see a line on that so throw them away ladies and don't add to your stress by using them! Use first response every time)

Another reason why I joined this group

What are you doing for yourself today xx

Mrbay · 15/06/2020 08:36

oh exciting @ivfgottostaypositive - fingers crossed it continues to get darker :)

@Pattaz2711 - sorry to read that you are feeling low, are you on buserelin? As I find that gives me really low mood swings.

Stim symptoms - what did everyone have? I'm convinced that nothing is happening as I've only had a few minutes of pulling and that is it!

@MrsLouB - do you think that he trying to stay included by asking you to wait? As IVF can be very woman focused about forget about the other partner.

Pattaz2711 · 15/06/2020 08:42

@Mrbay

I stopped buserclin last week I'm on pesseries an estrogen.. think it's a number of things, transfer Wednesday an then that 2 week dreaded wait.. partner back at work so on my own 12 hours of the day..
It's all on me.

I can't remember the stims I was on..

Hope your keeping well xxx

Pattaz2711 · 15/06/2020 09:15

I'm so emotional today lol.. i don't even know why.. I feel selfish for saying it, as you guys are going through a lot more than me x

elleceedee · 15/06/2020 09:20

@Pattaz2711 don't feel selfish, this process is incredibly stressful no matter what stage we're at! In fact the (in)fertility journey even before IVF is stressful too! Be kind to yourself!

UncleBrynsfishingtrip · 15/06/2020 09:23

@Pattaz2711

Emotions are totally fine! Let it go..... (as they song says!!!) Better out then in.
I went for a really long walk yesterday which I find makes me feel soooo much better.
What are you doing today? Take each hour as it comes and be kind to yourself 💗💗💗 xx

UncleBrynsfishingtrip · 15/06/2020 09:26

Question for you ladies who have been through this before...

How long do we continue the medicines after transfer? I suppose each protocol varies and I’m sure it does say on my notes somewhere but thought I’d ask to see xxx

Pattaz2711 · 15/06/2020 09:31

@UncleBrynsfishingtrip

The meds if I'm correct is if you get a positive it's up to 12 weeks of pregnancy

If not you stop after the to week wait..

I'm going to take the dog for a walk an tidy this house as partner makes a bloody mess even just breathing!!

I'm in on of those moods today xx

MrsLouB · 15/06/2020 09:43

@UncleBrynsfishingtrip you continue the medicine until your Official test day and only stop when they tell you too, normally after you get a bfn on their test day and not before ( i have seen people saying they have a bfn at 5dpt and saying they are stopping their meds crazy)

If you get a BFP they will normally order more medication to see you up to 10 weeks as after this your placenta should be formed and takes over

MrsLouB · 15/06/2020 09:45

@Pattaz2711 it does not matter what stage you are at or how many times you have been through it you are entitled to feel like that xx we all have those days hunny big hugs ... go for a long walk or take a bath whilst you can xxx

ivfgottostaypositive · 15/06/2020 09:45

@UncleBrynsfishingtrip

With clexane on my only full term pregnancy I had to take it until 3 months after DD was born 😬 (I was sick of injections by that point!)

@Pattaz2711

I hear you about husbands! When I was really hormonal last week I sent him a text message of all the new rules in the house that he'd need to follow for the sake of our marriage 🤣 pretty sure he's just ignored me because I have just had to straighten up the fucking towels on the towel rail again as he seems to think just throwing them at it will do the job and he seems to be having his own personal competition of how many towels he can get on there 😡🤬

Dbrook · 15/06/2020 10:01

@ivfgottostaypositive yay great lines!! So happy for you.

@Pattaz2711 don’t feel selfish for feeling upset, it’s normal. I have plenty of days where I cry and cry. It’s good to let it out.

@MrsLouB thinking of you and have my fingers crossed.

@elleceedee good luck for your scan today.

The embryologist phoned this morning and one of the other embryos has become a blastocyst which they are going to freeze. The other one is still in culture but I don’t think it’s as promising. Delighted we have one to freeze, had kind of written them both off after the update on Saturday. Now just hope the one on board is doing what it’s supposed to!

Mrbay · 15/06/2020 10:13

Ah I dont worry about the house during this time, a bit of dirt doesn't hurt and DH is not great at cleaning anyway so I've stopped stressing about it!

@Dbrook - thats fantastic news!!

OP posts:
Dbrook · 15/06/2020 10:13

Oh and @Mrbay I didn’t have any symptoms during stims which worried me as I didn’t think anything was happening. I had bloating after the trigger and of course egg collection but nothing during the stims.

takingthistooseriously · 15/06/2020 10:20

@Dbrook that is great news about having one in the freezer, and really encouraging that the one transferred should be doing even better

@Pattaz2711 you're definitely not alone in having really blue days, it is certainly a rollercoaster. Please be kind to yourself Flowers it must be tough with your DH being out during the day, it is a difficult enough journey without feeling like you're alone. Hope you can treat yourself in some way today

@MrsLouB cannot believe your DH hid the tests! do you have amazon prime to get some more really quickly?!

ivfgottostaypositive · 15/06/2020 10:21

@Dbrook

Great news on your blastocyst - did they say what grade it was?

I have a day 6 4bb blastocyst currently on board that wasnt a blastocyst on day 5. When I went in for transfer they actually said the day 6 bit was irrelevant and it actually looked better than the day 5 3BB I had frozen so they transferred the day 6 with my 5BA
