Hi

Couldn't see a thread for May/June - hoping that I'm not on my own for this cycle as its our 2nd cycle and feeling worried that I won't get to transfer.

Would be great to share the ups and downs with others, I'm starting buserelin next Wednesday (27th May).

@HJF84 Which was that form? I wish I could sign on my partner thinks I'm being so paranoid I won't let anyone near me, when he goes to work I making him strip off before he comes in.. (neighbours get a view lol)

@MrsLouB oh hun I feel for you. I wish I could give you an hug!!
❤️ sometimes cramping can be a good sign xx I'm keeping everything crossed for you

Xxx

Bestofyou1982 · 12/06/2020 22:58

@HJF84 how are you feeling after your transfer?

ivfgottostaypositive · 13/06/2020 02:12

@mrsloub, @takingthistooseriously

Giving you a virtual hug - I cant sleep thinking about it all. Cramps is a good things! I feel absolutely NOTHING no cramps no headaches no sore boobs nothing. Feel completely normal. Better than normal actually. Pretty sure this cycle hasn't worked. I tested out my trigger shots so I know any lines I see from now one should be real ones just have zero hope and feeling pretty down about it since these 2 blastocysts are the best quality we've ever put back x

MrsLouB · 13/06/2020 05:57

@takingthistooseriously sorry you are feeling this way too Flowers i have been feeling just rubbish and oh hormonal so angry i feel just like i do before AF. I hope we are wrong too but im not feeling it xx when is your test day soon? Xxx

@ivfgottostaypositive ah lovely you know what i hear more positive stories of women that felt nothing at all than some with loads of symptoms xx i have things crossed for you x

@Pattaz2711 Star thank you lovely lady lol re your husband but you do what you feel you need to. Me and my DH have been home worming all this time so i dont feel at risk. But you take the precautions you need to xx

@HJF84 how are you feeling at the moment ? Xx

I know cramps can be a sign and nothing can be a sign but for me last time i got a BFP (i re read my symptoms on the board) i did moan about cramps too. So for me it may be a sign but it didnt end well and cramps getting worse been it may just end like last time did. I know i am being negative but thats my way of not getting my hopes up xxxx

Anyone doing anything nice today? I hear the weather is taking a turn and becoming warmer

MrsLouB · 13/06/2020 05:59

@ivfgottostaypositive just seen your time up bless you hun try and sleep you need it at the moment....i have a good feeling about this for you you have had to great blasts put back in and they are nestling in as we speak xxxx keep your chin up darling hugs x

HJF84 · 13/06/2020 06:09

@Bestofyou1982 Tired! This cycle has been different to my other ones for sure. I hope that's a good thing! It's probably all the drugs. How are you feeling?

@MrsLouB You're on the TWW rollercoaster, it's a bit like the 'corona coaster' we were in for a few months in lockdown. It's natural for your mind to go to those negative places, but try and steer it towards a more positive place or a middle ground. Enjoy being PUPO

@pattaz2711 Create make you sign a form every time you go in there - have you had any symptoms or been around anyone with symptoms etc. Then they check your temperature. Plus the form that DH and I signed about social distancing.

Last cycles, the progesterone had me up at 3am/4am every night. I'm still waking up early, but I think it's the light. I'm also having crazy vivid dreams that I remember, and my boobs are sore. My original 3 day embie should be turning into the day 5 blasto today -getting ready to implant! 🤞🏼

What is everyone's weekend plans? I'm heading to my sisters to have a social distanced lunch with my two sisters and my mum. Looking forward to seeing all of them. They don't know about the IVF. DH and I are keeping it a secret.

MrsLouB · 13/06/2020 06:20

@HJF84 oh sounds like some nice weekend plans, i wish i had people to see but all or in laws are over an hour away and i dont feel up to travelling but my dh is popping to see his mum and dad so he will be gone for at least 4 hrs with the travel. So i will be doing house work it calms me and then relaxing and seeing what the weather does.

..here to your blast starting to make its home xx im not as bad waking up as last time but i do find i wake at 4/5am but again its the light and was doing this before the transfer. X

ivfgottostaypositive · 13/06/2020 07:21

@MrsLouB

Thanks! I fell asleep really early using my cat as a pillow (luckily he's fat and lazy and a total mummy's boy so doesn't mind 😻) but then meant I woke up in the middle of the night 😢

No real plans for this weekend other than trying to keep my mind busy. I've seen some new brownie recipes I might try (I'm an emotional baker as well as eater 🤣)

Eggling · 13/06/2020 07:33

@MrsLouB @takingthistooseriously sorry you're both having a tough time. I think one of the cruelest things about TTC is the way symptoms mess with your head, especially as AF symptoms can be the same as pregnancy symptoms. It messes up the way you trust your own body and your instincts.

Hope you both feel a bit more positive today, keeping my fingers crossed for you xx

MorgenMuffel · 13/06/2020 08:05

@MrsLouB @takingthistooseriously @ivfgottostaypositive sorry to hear you are having a tough time. It's such a hard wait and impossible to know until you test, so try not to lose all hope. Hope you can have relaxing weekends x

Wesstywoo · 13/06/2020 08:28

Thinking of you ladies in the tww. Such a rollercoaster. Absolutely everything crossed for you.

I have my first scan this morning, hope the pill has done what it was meant to

Mrbay · 13/06/2020 09:11

Sorry, my short term memory is pretty pants at the mo so apologies if I don't tag you.

Welcome to the newbies and goods luck 😁

Care have got us to sign a corona agreement before each appointment.

This round is messing with my sleep and making me really hot so today will be a write off!

Plans, played bingo with the neighbours last night and will do it again on Sunday - we all sit on our drives and have a drink and a natter once a week.

@ivfgottostaypositive and @MrsLouB - you're in until you are out 🤞

Good luck with with scan @westywoo

@wesstywoo good luck with your scan today

Pattaz2711 · 13/06/2020 09:34

@Wesstywoo good luck today my sweet xx

UncleBrynsfishingtrip · 13/06/2020 10:17

@Mrbay

The bingo sounds like a great idea. Once a week I call my nieces and we do bingo and a few other games. The youngest one reads some of the numbers backwards which makes it more interesting! 🤣

My memory is shocking at the moment. It took me a very long time to get out of the house today as I forgot the simplest of things! How to start the car 😬

Im at a virtual baby shower this afternoon as my brother/wife are due in a few weeks. I feel ok about being there and I’m excited to meet the new bundle however I am ANTI baby showers for myself!!!!
If I do become pregnant i just want to tell people and not have the huge fuss. I didn’t used to feel strongly but for some reason today I do!!

MrsLouB · 13/06/2020 10:32

@wesstywoo good luck on the scan today.

Thanks to everyone who had mentioned me im a little tired so cannot concentrate..

I have cleaned the house and washed the sheets and throws had a shower and now im sat watching dynasty (guilty pleasure) whilst hubby is out so just relaxing now until he gets back xxx

We shall wait and see what happens x

HJF84 · 13/06/2020 10:51

Good luck with the scan @wesstywoo

@pattaz2711 Thanks lovely. I'm good. Trying to keep those negative thoughts at bay, itMd easier when the sun is shining ☀️

@UncleBrynsfishingtrip I'm the same about showers. I went to a friends virtual shower a few weeks ago but I wouldn't want one for myself, I find the idea too 'American' I've avoided baby showers over the last year or so as I've just found them too hard, but the virtual one was fine, as I told myself I could just leave at any time.

@ivfgottobepositive I'd love my cat to be a pillow. She's so fluffy, but she'd never allow me to!

ivfgottostaypositive · 13/06/2020 12:52

@HJF84

My cat weighs 6.5kg so makes a great pillow! Although he snores really loud and insists that he sleeps with his head in my hand which means I ended up twisted into all sorts of positions to keep him happy! 😻

I'm not sold on the baby shower thing either - I almost feel like it's just been me and my DH fighting to have a baby for so long without support from anyone else and I'd just wonder where they all were when we really needed them x

Dbrook · 13/06/2020 13:31

Good luck with the scan today @Wesstywoo

I’m just back from my transfer. They transferred an 8 cell 3 day embryo so happy with that. Of the other 2 embryos, one has 12 cells at day 3 which I can’t really find any information on. I know ideally it would have 8-10 but I can’t find anything about what it means if it’s growing faster. Anyone have something similar? I can’t even remember the grading of the other one but the embryologist basically said it wasn’t great.

Sending love to anyone going through a hard time today.

ivfgottostaypositive · 13/06/2020 14:10

@Dbrook

Congratulations on your transfer!🤞🤞🤞

I found an article last year when I had a 12 cell on day 3 and it basically said they expected higher level of abnormality or /less likely to make blastocyst (less than 1/2 that of a 7-9 cell) something to do with running out of energy as it's divided too quickly?

Dbrook · 13/06/2020 14:18

Ah thanks @ivfgottostaypositive. Guess it’s all riding on the one on board!

Everhopeful35 · 13/06/2020 16:35

Hi ladies, would you mind if I joined the group? I had my egg retrieval yesterday and could do with some support for the days ahead! I had 17 eggs collected but got a call this morning to say only 15 were mature and 10 fertilised. Feels like a big reduction overnight... Is that normal? Also, has anyone had a lot of discomfort after retrieval? My stomach has swollen massively (looks twice the size!) and I tried to go for a walk this morning, but could only manage pigeon steps because I was in so much pain! Any advice / personal experiences appreciated Smile

ivfgottostaypositive · 13/06/2020 16:45

@Everhopeful35

Welcome! I've had large drop offs before - my second cycle I had 14 eggs 12 mature but only 4 fertilised even with ICSI and I was devastated. Don't worry too much about numbers at this point - it's all about quality

You had quite a few eggs collected so being sore and bloated is to be expected- I felt worse the day after collection that I did the day of. Hopefully your clinic will have monitored for OHSS so if symptoms get worse I'd give them a call and drink lots of water x

Everhopeful35 · 13/06/2020 17:04

@ivfgottostaypositive Thanks so much for the reassurance. They did tell me to expect pain and discomfort because of the number of eggs, but it's definitely worse than I expected. I'm downing water like crazy! We are also doing ICSI - is there less of a drop-off rate with that? If you don't mind me asking, did your four turn out to be a good quality? You're so right that it's quality not quantity, but it's hard not to get obsessed! This process is very nerve wracking. Wishing everyone lots of luck.
