IVF May/June Cycle Buddies

Couldn't see a thread for May/June - hoping that I'm not on my own for this cycle as its our 2nd cycle and feeling worried that I won't get to transfer.

Would be great to share the ups and downs with others, I'm starting buserelin next Wednesday (27th May).

@Pattaz2711 sorry you are feeling the strain so much, it is completely understandable though as it is such a tough process. As the others have said, do take some time out for yourself and be kind to yourself during this process. I've recently had a BFP from a FET after a failed fresh, so as has been said there is often no rhyme nor reason so don't think that this definitely won't work as your fresh didn't.

@UncleBrynsfishingtrip I'm going to light a candle tonight, thanks for prompting us all to do a little self care. Your pizza sounds delicious 😋

@HJF84 congrats on being PUPO. When is test day?

@Ails826 as the others have said, focus on maintaining a healthy diet rather than trying to do a crash diet or anything. My (UK) clinic treats up to bmi of 35 and NHS here up to 30, so I am sure you will be more than fine. I was at about 26 when I started and my clinic didn't bat an eyelid. Let us know how you get on

Welcome @BabySweet85, we are going to be going for EC at the same time. Don't worry I've got a low AMH and last time had only a few follicles but I did managed to get 3 eggs and all three got to blasto but as you can probably guess none took so I'm back at it again.

@ivfgottobepositive @MorgenMuffel My OTD is the 22nd, which is the day AF was due to start anyway according to my app.

Managed to give myself a sore tummy thanks to tonight's Lubion injection! I thought from my last cycle that it was Inhixa that caused the pain! Hoping it subsides.

@Mrbay send some my way - I'll help you out 😂

@HJF84 hope you've got a relaxing weekend planned. Have you got to go in to your clinic for bloods or do you test at home?

@morganmuffel - I can't tell you how much I've missed our little local sweet shop! I even had a Mr whippy!

@HJF84 - I didn't enjoy the lubion, stung and itched for ages!

@BabySweet85 welcome our ivf was short protocol icsi too my AMH is very low 2.3 or 2.5 i cant remember but i had around 6-7 that they saw on the scan and around 5 made it over the cover line for ET. We where surprise but they got 9 eggs all mature. So keep the faith xx

Morning everyone hope everyone is doing ok. Oh I'm tired today up at 4.30am feeling off have a sore throat and feel really low cramping in pelvic area have since yesterday, dont feel like any of it is a good side but who knows..i keep going from positive to negative in my mind like why would it work if it does work why would it stick etc..... bad day ladies...oh and to top it off i have two huge spots on my face lovely.

2dp5dt....is anyone else symptom spotting. Trying really hard not to but have felt nothing so far - no cramping nothing

Sorry I had been off for a while . My periods are always very painful due to fibroids with terrible cramps .

I started the 1st Cycle injections 2 days ago . 1st stim scan on Monday.

Congrats to all the good news for EC , ET, starting injections etc . Have a lovely day .

@ivfgottostaypositive 3dp5dt and have been cramping for a few days started with sharp shooting on transfer day now just low down pulling heavy feeling if that makes sense, also nausea yesterday and feeling pretty yuck today but it is all down to the meds i think nothing else xxx

You may yet @ivfgottostaypositive cramps and pulling different really become noticable to me until yesterday afternoon a few odd bits here and there but nothing major actually forgot at one point what was going on.. tbh i dont remember getting much on the cycle that was bfp and the one that was bfn. For us ivf ladies the hormones with take mimic a lot .

We shall keep positive and symptoms may start to show 2/3 dpt is real early. In my hhm research ive seen ladies get frp on 3/4dpt but normally where there is two or more embryos

@Wesstywoo yes I think so they've told me to bring them on the day of transfer an they will show me how to use them..
They've only just started asking patients to use them. I didn't use them before.

@HT2101 yes my partner is the same he asked which girl he's having today which personality.. though out the day I cry I laugh I'm angry lol.. these meds really play on your hormones. I'm glad I'm not the only one.

@HJF84 I've spoke to the counsilor when I did I felt really silly for feeling so anxious. This is why I thought if I could join an forum maybe it may help a little.

The Frosties are 5/6!days blastocyst an I think there 4ab and 4b something I think...

Also when you have had transfers are they done with ultrasound? Or just placed?

@ivfgottostaypositive if your transfer was in the afternoon then perhaps it is a little early for symptoms yet? It is very hard not to symptom spot!! When are you going to start testing?

Well the period dance to music worked so I'm booked in for my first scan tomorrow (bit earlier than the usual day 5 due to my adjusted protocol). Hope this cycle goes better than the last 2!

Transfer wasn't until probably nearly 3pm so I know it's not even been 2 days yet. I should really really stay off google as everything I read people who had cramping were much more likely to get a BFP. It's hard not to imagine twinges and things - because I so desperately want to get them! 🤣

I get so cross reading posts on google saying "I had ZERO symptoms....EXCEPT cramps/twinges" etc and then they go on to list a load of symptoms! 🤦‍♀️ think I might get DH to confiscate my phone today

I'll most likely test Sunday morning - which will be 4dp5dt- I've generally got a real squinter at least by the afternoon but if I start in morning it will give me a baseline to compare against.

My blastocysts were hatching when they went in so should implant fairly quickly so I'd say if I haven't got a BFP by Wednesday (12 DPO/7DP5DT) then I'm definitely out x

@Pattaz2711 i am doing ok thank you i am on cycolgesy x2 and lubion so fun how are you doing a bit better now? Of course you can stay on x you have some good frosties there too transfer is normally done with a nurse with ultrasound on tummy so they can see where they are going.

@ivfgottostaypositive why would you say you are out of not bfp by 7dpt? Just ask as most bloods are not done until 8 or 9 are they...oh you are naughty my dh has taken my tests and hidden them but i do have cheap ones coming in the post but dont now when they will arrive argh i want to test but then i dont want to know you know

@MrsLouB same meds as me I'm starting the presseries today.. an still take the pragnova, I'm feeling a little better thank you.. not sure how I'll feel with the to week wait..

The first time I had the transfer they didn't use the ultrasound they just put it in.. which I was surprised about as on google lol.. it says ultrasound..

My clinic does a blood test 9 days after a 5 day transfer so not too long to wait

I just think if a FRER hasn't detected anything by then then it's likely a chemical/not viable. In 8 pregnancies I've always got a line no later than 10DPO no matter how faint (5dp5dt)

@ivfgottostaypositive true i suppose i always hold out hope that maybe there is a late implanter, but yeah with mine ive always had a line by 8dpo or 7/8dpt so i would think so do.

I said to DH as he wants to wait to test day he said but why do it before, i said becos if it is negative i can sort of gear myself up to the real day and then dont have false hope, Does that sound crazy xxx

@Pattaz2711 how strange i am not sure how i would feel about that i think most places uses it so they can see that they are in the right spot before the put it in :-) x

@BabySweet85 - last time I took a little longer to stim so you may be in for EC before me.

@Pattaz2711 - sounds like a productive day! Of course stay and chat for as long as you like. Don't hold back on ranting, questioning and general chat.
Regarding transfer, my clinic measure you before the transfer and then transfer without the lovely probe up there too!

@Wesstywoo - My handstand tweak helped you along! Yay!! Funny how we all look forward to this period! You may find they point out the remaining blood on your scan, they did on mine 🙈

@ivfgottostaypositive - the spotting can be from implantation or trauma when your embryo was implanted. A bit too early to say that you are out. Just got to rise it out which is so hard I know but this is out of your hands now - big hugs. My consultant says 9DP5DT will show the true result so need to hold out until then.

Today I'm getting ovary twinges and pain - I've got such a low AMH so didn't get any pain last time, plus I'm only on day 3 of stims! I'll take this as a good sign that they are already working overtime and getting bigger!

Hope everyone else is doing ok today, I've taken the day off but I expect I'll end up doing some work 🙄
