IVF May/June Cycle Buddies

Hi

Couldn't see a thread for May/June - hoping that I'm not on my own for this cycle as its our 2nd cycle and feeling worried that I won't get to transfer.

Would be great to share the ups and downs with others, I'm starting buserelin next Wednesday (27th May).

Started the progesterone today so bring on the symptoms.

@Dbrook thank you xx yes all 4 fertilised so very pleased for this part of the ongoing hurdle! Now a 5 day wait!!

@MorgenMuffel yesssssssss HUGE congratulations!!!! I bet you couldn’t believe your eyes when you saw the line!
It is early but you can be elated and happy and like you say take each day as it comes.
I’m going to celebrate for you today!!!

Thanks you . Am on the short protocol And ET expected on 25/26th June as per the calendar . Am told this could change depending on how I respond to stims.

@MrsLouB woohoo to transfer on Tuesday! Good luck with starting cyclogest and lubion. I've only ever had to do cyclogest X3 daily and that is bad enough (hate it!) but lubion injections as well can't be pleasant!

@RosettaR did you make a decision about the antihistamines? Either way, I hope you had a better night's sleep.

@ivfgottostaypositive hope trigger went ok!

@HJF84 that's so weird about the follicle! IVF and fertility is such a mystery to me sometimes! But hopefully it means that your other follicles will catch up and you'll get more eggs than you originally thought. Good luck for your scan tomorrow. Have your clinic mentioned any more about prednisolone, I assume you didn't need to take it in the end? What did your clinic say about 3 day rather than 5 day?

@takingthistooseriously sorry I'm a couple of days late but that's great that 10 fertilised, that's a great number!

@Dbrook I still can't believe the comment about age! I'm 40 and two of my friends the same age or older have recently got pregnant naturally with no issues! While it may be true that fertility drops as you get older it's not impossible once you hit 37 and it's insensitive to suggest that, especially from someone who works in fertility

I'm so sorry if I've missed anyone, it's so busy on this thread!

My period STILL hasn't arrived... I was sure it would be here by now I just want to get started.

Yup total of 5 injections to do in the space of 3 hours last night so I'm glad of the break now. Egg collection booked for 845 tomorrow morning.

Will be strange this time as DH not allowed to come - so he's got to do his sample at home (whilst my mum and dad here to look after DD as he's got to go to work!) then I've got to carry the sample pot in i my bra to the clinic......

I almost made a totally inappropriate joke to the nurse yesterday when she gave me the instructions about that being the only time I allow DH sperm on my boobs 🤣

@elleceedee it is a busy thread i try and answer most but i miss people too :-) i do cycolgest x 2 and 1 x lubion its not bad but the 1st round i had it it did give me night sweats so i am grateful the weather has turned now

Hello Ladies, may I join as well? My first time on mumsnet.
I am on my third IVF cycle after my first two failed. but staying positive for this one . I already started my stim. had my second scan yesterday and four follicles are growing.

Great to see many of you lovely ladies....feels like I am not alone in this journey xx

@ivfgottastaypositive Good luck with egg collection tomorrow🤞🤞🤞 Will you be having transfer after? If I remember correctly I think you said before you’ve been banking and saving embryos. Will they go with the best graded from your Frosties and fresh or just go for a fresh transfer?

@Drbrook that was a pretty insensitive comment about age. They would be carting me off to a nursing home with that attitude as I am 41!

@UncleBrynsfishingtrip Transfer buddy- yay!! Are you having FET with downreg too? My downreg scan will be on 18th as long as AF turns up beforehand 🤞🤞🤞🤞

Sorry if I’ve missed anyone, so many people (which is fabulous!) and so much progress. I’m getting ready to do first buserelin injection tomorrow. Never been so excited to stab myself with a needle 🤣

I think as it's just going to be the one follicle that assuming it fertilises I'm going to see about a 3 day fresh transfer - and double up by transferring another day 3 I have frozen from a previous cycle.

That would then leave me

3BB & 4BB to transfer together

And finally a 4AA to transfer last - I think psychologically ill do better knowing our best one is still frozen and will be the last to transfer

I am excited and apprehensive as it our last go and so the next hurdle in my mind is if it thaws ok, and then i will be on the 2ww and hoping it implants and then if we are lucky enough to get a bfp again the next is getting to see it and a heartbeat - which we are all waiting for. i think of it as small hurdles to get over each one getting a step closer .

I have tried to remain calm and relaxed until now and not obsess but i know i probably will as i cannot help it. I cannot help my mind wondering either thinking of what ifs xx

Hope you dont mind me asking a question? I've gone through my medication box to make sure I've got everything after reading a few of the comments on here! I've been given gonsai, i believe I need to take this after (fingers crossed) I finish taking my meriofert and my scan is ok? Is that correct? I'm not due to start until end of this month but I feel like I'm a bit lost with it!

quick question ladies so i started by Prog today cycolgest and lubion but i am SO tired its 3.30pm and i feel like i need a nap! ive been ok up till now actual energised with my morning work outs and healthy eating.

Just wondered if it was related x

@BKB27 I took Gonasi as my trigger, so 36 hours before egg collection. I know the big box of drugs is a bit overwhelming but you just take it day by day and your clinic will guide you through (plus google!) and we are here too!

@MrsLouB I can't answer about the specific drugs but I think I got tired when I started stims because it was such a relief after all the anxiety leading up to the first injection! I do think that fatigue can be a side effect of the progesterone though so it may be that?

@Lemongrass1 yes! ET for me tomorrow, fingers firmly crossed for the morning's phone call to tell me how many have made it. It is going to be a day 4 transfer though I think as I was under the impression that EC day (Monday) was Day 0. So now naturally I'm panicking as no one else seems to have day 4 transfers! Good luck for your first injection tomorrow. I liked starting too, it just feels good to be doing something that isn't waiting!

Ref progesterone, I cannot remember if it made me tired - but it does mimic pregnancy so tiredness would be plausible.
