Clomid cycle1

Hi ,

I've taken my second tablet on my first cycle and wondering if anyone is due to start there's soon or are around the same time as me?

I know there's already a clomid thread but I think I'd get pretty lost as I'm new to this so was hoping for people to keep each other occupied as we wait in anticipation!

How was your sleep last night @Etonmess20 after your Clomid?

@GinIsTheOnlyTonic I slept fine last night I think (yesterday was CD3, so 2nd night of tablets). The first night I woke up a few times hot but was so exhausted last night I didn't stir I don't think 😂

Yeah I'm fine. CD 26 at the moment so I will know one way or another in the next few days. Apart from a bit of cramping here and there I dont feel any different than how i would usual feel pre AF so I'm expecting it to be a BFN. I havent had my progesterone back yet and am keen to see what it was but I bet there will be a big delay on it with postage etc.

@GinIsTheOnlyTonic another reasonably peaceful night for me, woke up got a couple of times but managed to sleep ok in the end!
Always rubbish getting to that late in the cycle & symptom spotting/not spotting. I always try not to get my hopes up but I'm always a little disappointed when af arrives! Was this your 1st clomid cycle? X

@etonmess20 we were given 6months-im on the last one now. It's so frustrating not knowing why its not happening. Glad you're sleeping ok on the tablets.

@ginistheonlytonic we had mismatched information from our clinic too about my tubes -after my HSG was told both were blocked but after the lap and dye was told both were clear! So frustrating isnt it. Hope AF stays away for you!

@LottieDot how have you found the side effects? Yeah it is super frustrating & also very annoying you've been given different information because you just don't know what to think. Suppose all we can do is stay positive, we'll all get there in the end, I'm sure of it xx

Yes @LottieDot very frustrating! I wish I'd taken my discharge notes with me but I definitely will next time.

@Etonmess20 yep first round. Would expect to see AF by Tuesday so not long to wait!

Well not if it keeps going down unfortunately. Feel a bit crampy too. Ah we will see!

CD6 for me today so will be taking my last clomid tablet tonight but have woken up today feeling really bloated l. Has anyone else had this?

Yes I felt just like generally crappy on mine. My physical symptoms went a few days after I had finished taking them though so hopefully it won't last long.

@GinIsTheOnlyTonic fingers crossed, I've taken my last tablet this evening thankfully!

I feel like I've been really up and down emotionally but I dont know whether that's the tablets, the Covid, or just the general emotional rollercoaster of TTC. I had been OK for a while and resigned to seeing my period every month but because I've been taking these tablets I've allowed myself to hope IYSWIM?

@GinIsTheOnlyTonic it's probably a bit of everything, there's a lot going on at the moment but that coupled with the TTC & clomid as well is bound to have an effect.
Yeah I definitely know what you mean, I think it's only natural that you're now hoping that the clomid will work (I kind of am too!) & even if it doesn't work on cycle 1 or 2 it doesn't mean it won't work at all xx

@GinIsTheOnlyTonic cycle 59??? I didn't realise it had been so long for you, no wonder it's getting you down even more than usual ☹️
I'm still here for sure, CD9 for me today- done an OPK this morning, it was low as expected. I normally ovulate CD14 but just wanted to make sure I didn't miss it if clomid messes with me!

Feel shit but nothing some chocolate and a Corrie marathon later won't fix!! Yeah 59 cycles sounds bonkers doesn't it....I think I have lost at least part of my mind! Thank you for asking though xx

I ovulated on CD16 last month so a bit later than usual I think.

@GinIsTheOnlyTonic chocolate & Corrie definitely sounds like what you deserve today!
I think they do say you Ov around 5-7 days after your last tablet don't they & the Dr did tell me to test CD11 onwards but thought wouldn't do any harm to start today. I feel a bit twingey both sides so maybe ov on its way soon!
Yeah I'm all good thank you, work is super busy at the Moment which keeps me occupied.
We started SMEP yesterday, so will be DTD every other day until I get a positive OPK xx

Hello ladies,

I have an update following a telephone consultation from my fertility dr. I told him I have stopped the clomid and he recommended I not do that...oops! But he has prescribed a new medication called letrozole. I will be taking them for 3 more months and then putting in for IVF. I'm really scared about IVF to be honest. What if it doesn't work and the emotional side effects of it? Praying that this new tablet works. Hope your all doing okay? I'm feeling a little better since I last posted. Started running and taking better care of my mind and body. Stay safe xxx
