Hi ,

I've taken my second tablet on my first cycle and wondering if anyone is due to start there's soon or are around the same time as me?

I know there's already a clomid thread but I think I'd get pretty lost as I'm new to this so was hoping for people to keep each other occupied as we wait in anticipation!
Xx

Right back at you, AF arrived today and my appointment is on the 28th of April and will now be a telephone consultation and all treatment has been stopped. I have two more cycles of clomid left. I’m feeling really down today. 😢

GinIsTheOnlyTonic · 06/04/2020 20:27

Hello everyone! Can I jump on the clomid bus please? I'm currently on CD9, took clomid days 2-6. Had a tiny bit of cramping on and off, awful night sweats and a dull headache these past few days. I was expecting the hospital to call me and say not to take the clomid but they haven't as yet so I'm carrying on for now. Been TTC no 2 since Sept 2015 so a long old journey. How is everyone?

Estara · 06/04/2020 21:01

@Lauren87E, me too, my head has not been working all afternoon, I'm working from home and I rang my boss to put in half a days leave. I've cried and slept. When I spoke to the consultants secretary she said 3 months isn't that long..... Not what to say to someone being pummelled by hormones, disappointed at not being pregnant and being told its all on hold because of this bloody virus.... Thanks China 😖

Hi @GinIsTheOnlyTonic, if you've got your prescription why not carry on. Fingers crossed for you xx

GinIsTheOnlyTonic · 06/04/2020 22:13

Has your clomid been stopped @Estara?

Estara · 06/04/2020 23:14

@GinIsTheOnlyTonic, yes, all fertility treatment has been suspended in my area. She said to ring them in 3 months to start again. I've has 1 cycle if clomid x

GinIsTheOnlyTonic · 07/04/2020 00:18

You can understand why but doesn't make it any easier. I was given all 3 months and sent on my way but I'm not having any monitoring so I guess that might be why?

Lauren87E · 07/04/2020 10:16

It’s so upsetting getting to a point of fertility treatment. You feel like all the years of trying and you finally feel that little bit closer. I have been on Clomid since November and I have two cycles left, luckily I got the prescription and have them left to take. Someone I work with is pregnant and moaning about morning sickness and I’m just thankful I’m working from home and can shelter my feelings. I have hot flushes all the time, especially when I wake up in the morning and my hormones aren’t great but manageable. Perhaps using this time stuck at home I can meditate and do some yoga, try and focus on my mind and body? I am so glad I can speak about this on here. Thanks for listening. Xx

Mrsk08 · 07/04/2020 11:56

Hey ladies, I totally understand what you guys are going through. I had taken clomid this month was waiting for the follicle tracking scan only to be told it has been cancelled. I was given 3 months clomid tablets but have been told to not take any more until the clinic opens again (god knows when) :( I'm still waiting for AF I think I am around 11 dpo but think I'm out this month too as have the Pre AF symptoms.
Hang in there ladies we are all in this together and will get through this even if it means ranting to each other xx

GinIsTheOnlyTonic · 07/04/2020 12:14

It's very difficult being around pregnant people who are moaning. I just have to tell myself it's not personal and that my struggle has no bearing on how they might be feeling but it is really tough. The hot flushes are awful arent they?! Ah @Mrsk08 - everything crossed for you. Do you normally test on a certain day or just wait and see if AF arrives?

Lauren87E · 07/04/2020 13:30

Absolutely, it’s not personal at all, but you know when you buy a car and then see it everywhere, it’s kind of like that lol! The hot flushes are awful, you don’t know where and when they will come. I really have big sympathy for women going through the menopause, that’s for sure! I have agreed to myself not to waste anymore money on FRER and only buy one for when I am four days late for my AF. I can’t keep doing it to myself. I better write all these goals down before I forget!!! Hope you all can manage to get out for a walk in the sunshine today x

GinIsTheOnlyTonic · 07/04/2020 14:17

Yep I'm the same Lauren - refuse to test now until I'm a few days late...he disappointment is just too much otherwise. I'm usually 29-31 day cycle so won't test until day 33 now. Enjoy the sunshine x

Mrsk08 · 07/04/2020 15:32

I'm going to try and hold out until AF is late this time if I can to try and save myself the heart ache...
Fingers crossed for you ladies x

Estara · 07/04/2020 17:42

Thank goodness it isn't just me that gets fed up of spending money tests!

I'm so pleased we've got each other in this strange strange time, my Oh doesn't have a clue and I'm sick of explaining things to him.

Stay strong and if you can't then please vent on here. We're in it together xx

GinIsTheOnlyTonic · 09/04/2020 20:31

How is everyone getting on? I'm on CD 12, no positive OPK yet. Been such a long time since I have done one I can't remember when I used to get a positive.

LottieDot · 10/04/2020 15:35

Hi is it ok if I join, the other Clomid thread is so quite it seems silly starting a new one. Im on my 5th cycle of clomid, with only 1 months left. I've not been told anything so will carry on taking it.

Hi @GinIsTheOnlyTonic, I was talking to you on the other thread. I'm CD16 so just at the start of the tww, I didnt take any opks this month though but I ovulate regularly (as confirmed with blood test and scans) so I'm fairly confident O day was yesterday. Fingers crossed for a positive soon.

GinIsTheOnlyTonic · 10/04/2020 18:47

Do you get ovulation pain/ewcm @LottieDot or do you just know? I used to get really painful ovulation symptoms but it was due to a cyst. CD 13 now and not positive still but a faint line so will hopefully get darker tomorrow. Have you been DTD EOD or anything or just going with the flow?

ekp39 · 13/04/2020 23:26

Jumping in on this thread. How long is everyone's cycles on clomid? On 3rd cycle of clomid and AF is, I think, late but each month my cycle has been a different number of days! 1st cycle was 29 days, 2nd cycle was 30 days. Now CD34 but had BFN today. Not sure when to expect my AF?

GinIsTheOnlyTonic · 14/04/2020 15:43

Hello @ekp39 this is my first cycle and I'm currently on CD17 so dont have any personal experience yet. Do you know which days you have ovulated on as I think that can be what makes the difference. Hoping it doesn't arrive and you get a BFP!!

Lauren87E · 14/04/2020 16:19

Hey @ekp39 I have been on clomid since November and my cycles were between 32-35 days apart. Since being on clomid I am now between 29-31 days apart. I have stopped taking clomid since the Coronavirus as I have two more months worth left and to be honest, this whole isolation is hard enough as it is, let alone the fertility side of things. I'm waiting for my telephone consultation with the fertility dr at the end of the month and I'm not hopeful anything will come of it as everything has stopped until at least May. So I'm going to just completely chill over the whole thing, drink some wine, go out running and work on my mind a bit more. Then when everything is semi back to normal we can start again. I hope your all doing well mentally through this, it's been challenging for sure! I have one pregnancy test left in the house and I will not be using it unless I am at least 5 days late. Xx

ekp39 · 14/04/2020 19:07

Hi @GinIsTheOnlyTonic, I'm not entirely sure when I peak ovulated as the silly Clearblue tests gave me 8 days of flashing smilies but no static smiley! I think it may have been CD17 but I gave up with the tests so could have been later! Good luck with the clomid, hope it all works out for you. Very much hoping for a BFP as still no sign of AF but could be down to stress 😔

ekp39 · 14/04/2020 19:11

Good idea @Lauren87E to have some downtime. Your body will definitely thank you for it. I'm persevering as it's been 18 months and 2 MCs so just want to keep going. My cycle was always all over the place due to PCOS which is why I was interested to see what length people's cycles are on the clomid. Very much hoping the reason AF is late is due to a BFP but my body doesn't produce much HcG so it always takes a lot longer for HPTs to pick up on a possible pregnancy. Just killing myself slowly waiting for a BFP or AF to come! Good luck with your journey and here's hoping all works out for you soon xx

LottieDot · 16/04/2020 19:55

@GinIsTheOnlyTonic I get both ewcm and ovulation pain but this month not so much pain- I'm wondering if I've just been too distracted to notice it though. Have you got your positive yet?

@ekp39 my cycle has been between 28-31 days on clomid, fingers crossed yours is late because of a BFP.

LottieDot · 16/04/2020 19:57

Oh and @GinIsTheOnlyTonic weve just gone with the flow this month but because we've been home and had more time weve DTD more than normal haha.

ekp39 · 16/04/2020 20:16

Thanks @LottieDot. AF now 8 days late but still getting BFNs Confused Trying to symptom spot but it's driving me mad. Got cramping today and feeling mentally exhausted so think AF will be appearing soon Sad

LottieDot · 16/04/2020 20:36

@ekp39 sorry to hear that, it's really mentally draining especially when it's late and you get your hopes up. I still have my fingers crossed for you.
