Clomid cycle1

Hi ,

I've taken my second tablet on my first cycle and wondering if anyone is due to start there's soon or are around the same time as me?

I know there's already a clomid thread but I think I'd get pretty lost as I'm new to this so was hoping for people to keep each other occupied as we wait in anticipation!

@Lauren87E I'm with you there, I took my 2nd tablet (2nd round of clomid) last night & the last couple of nights have been warm 🥵 has your UTI cleared up now? Though I think I've got a bit of one 😭

Lauren87E · 18/06/2020 12:46

@Etonmess20
It has been very warm indeed! Went out for a wet dog walk this morning so that helped lol!
My UTI has gone, the antibiotics have worked.
Oh no, try and drink plenty and rest.

Etonmess20 · 18/06/2020 13:11

@Lauren87E we were going to go out for a HIIT this morning but decided against it in the horrendous weather. Hopefully better weather tonight for a walk!
So rubbish aren't they? ☹️

Wackadoodle84 · 18/06/2020 23:32

@ktl1a I know what you mean about looking forward to the sickness, it’s almost reassuring in a way to have some definite symptoms.

@Lauren87E sorry AF got you, best of luck to you on this clomid cycle

@Etonmess20 Best of luck to you also, I think distraction is key while ttc, who’d have thought it could be so frustrating

Have been decorating for my mum the last few days which has thankfully kept me away from the tests which have all been negative I might add since my elusive faint frer.

On CD 31 today. AF officially due today. I normally start with spotting the night before, no sign yet but I know clomid can alter cycles so not getting my hopes up. Tablets are at the ready for round 2 💪

Etonmess20 · 19/06/2020 08:06

@Wackadoodle84 sorry to hear BFN on FRERs but it's nice you've been keeping yourself busy with the decorating, it definitely helps to have something to do!
My AF was a day late on my first clomid but AF was lighter & shorter (swings & roundabouts!!)
Hopefully AF will come soon & you can crack on with round 2.

Wackadoodle84 · 19/06/2020 13:18

@Lauren87E sorry type, meant to wish you luck on your 1st letrozole cycle.

Thanks @Etonmess20, hopefully will be joining cycle 2 soon

How are you finding the side effects ?

Etonmess20 · 19/06/2020 13:21

@Wackadoodle84 no sign yet?
I've found the side effects manageable tbh, a bit warm during the night & some headaches/bloating but nothing unbearable!

Wackadoodle84 · 19/06/2020 14:31

Not yet anyways, I had an opk malfunction though so was just guessing at ovulation date, it was definitely between cd14-cd18. If I don’t get AF over the weekend will retest on Monday but really don’t think I am going to get that far. Getting the odd AF type twinge.

Hopefully the side effects stay nice and mild for you

Wackadoodle84 · 20/06/2020 22:04

Clomid round 2 has started for me, fingers crossed this will be a lucky round for us all

Lauren87E · 20/06/2020 22:27

@Wackadoodle84
Sorry you didn't get a BFP but at least you can now start the next round. I'm on day 4 of taking the letrozole and the symptoms are not great I have to admit. Not experiencing any bloating, but very dizzy and hot flushes.
I can't sleep either, even tho I feel so tired. I hope this medication works. Got my fingers crossed for all of this month!! 🥰
@Etonmess20 how are you doing?

Etonmess20 · 20/06/2020 22:53

Hi @Lauren87E I'm alright thanks, I'm CD6 today so I've had my last tablet tonight. I have been bloated the past couple of days but it's easing. Have been a bit warm but it has been quite muggy so possibly that 🤷🏼‍♀️
Hoping the side effects ease off a bit for you. Did you say you're not having any monitoring this month?

Lauren87E · 20/06/2020 23:15

@Etonmess20 oh dear, how uncomfortable. I think that's the worst side effect is the bloating. Have some nice hot baths if you can manage it. Did you come down with a UTI in the end?
I'm having no monitoring at all which does worry me. I can only take it for three months and it's a chemotherapy drug. I have to admit I do feel a little fobbed off with drugs at the moment, but it might be because of COVID. I think il phone the clinic on Monday. My emotions are definitely heightened on this medication, very pms like lol!

Etonmess20 · 21/06/2020 12:51

@Lauren87E I think I did (and still do) have a UTI but it seems to be taking forever to fully go!

I suppose all you can do is just keep doing the OPKs & noting down all your symptoms! But definitely ring the clinic & push if you're unhappy

Wackadoodle84 · 23/06/2020 12:42

@Lauren87E I hope the side effects have settled down a bit. Hope long do you take the letrozole for? Can’t believe they are not even offering day 21 bloods at the minimum so you have at least some idea of how well it is working. Would you be able to get bloods done through your gp even?

@Etonmess20 hope all is well with you. Are you having any monitoring this cycle? Hoping the bloating has settled down for you

@ktl1a how are you doing?

ktl1a · 23/06/2020 12:49

@wackadoodle84 I'm great thanks, feeling more confident with every day that passes but won't relax until at least past the 8 week scan. Have my 6 week scan next monday, really looking forward to that (but obviously nervous too). Started feeling a bit nauseous and off now, cramps have calmed down mostly.

What cycle day is everyone now? Keeping my fingers crossed for you all!

Wackadoodle84 · 23/06/2020 13:51

@ktl1a glad to hear the cramps have settled down. Not long to go to scan, hope it all goes well

I’m on CD 4 today, was supposed to start clomid on CD 2 but completely forgot with the craziness of work so have started it today. Am hoping I don’t get much side effects. Last month all I had was night sweats though that may have been due to hot weather.

What pre conception supplements is everyone taking? I started using proceive recently but noticed it turns my urine an alarming shade of neon yellow 🤭🤔🥴.

Etonmess20 · 29/06/2020 09:07

Morning all, sorry I've been MIA, I really wasn't well last week then spent the weekend with family!

I'm CD15 today, positive OPK yesterday so been DTD, 🤞🏻 this month is the one

How are we all?

Lauren87E · 29/06/2020 09:53

@Etonmess20
Morning, I am on CD14 and haven't had a positive OPK yet. Got the plasterer in today and he's doing outside my bathroom, I'm hoping he won't take long and I can pop in there and do a test.
Sorry you haven't felt well, good job your on the mend now so you can BD. I have a progesterone blood test booked to see if this new medication has worked. Fingers crossed for both of us this month! We are just one day apart!😃

Etonmess20 · 29/06/2020 13:08

@Lauren87E I hope he doesn't mess up your testing 😂
Ahh nearly cycle twins! Hopefully you new medication does the trick!

Lauren87E · 30/06/2020 23:10

Hi everyone, I finally tested positive on my OPK yesterday so we did the BD and afterwards I had such bad pain in my right ovary area. It eventually subsided but today has been awful and is now on the left side with pain across the middle too. It's almost like a UTI type pain, but no symptoms of a UTI. I'm going to phone the clinic tomorrow as I'm worried I have superovulated this month. It can be quite dangerous apparently (good old google scaring the shit out of everything and everyone)
I've taken some paracetamol as that's all you can take. Hope your all doing well?

Lauren87E · 30/06/2020 23:11

Sorry I meant hyperovulation

Etonmess20 · 01/07/2020 06:43

@Lauren87E that sounds rubbish ☹️ hopefully you start to feel better soon x

Etonmess20 · 02/07/2020 22:01

How's everyone doing? 4dpo & very quiet here!

ktl1a · 03/07/2020 04:41

Hi everyone! Exciting that a couple of you are in the tww, I hope it goes quickly for you! @Etonmess20 did you get monitoring this cycle? @lauren87E I hope your feeling better now!

Etonmess20 · 03/07/2020 07:41

Hi @ktl1a lovely to hear from you, how are you? Did you have your scan yet?

I didn't get monitoring this month as they couldn't fit me in for a scan around my dates & they're not doing the day 21 blood tests as yet. For some reason I'm strangely hopeful this month but we'll see!
