Hi ,

I've taken my second tablet on my first cycle and wondering if anyone is due to start there's soon or are around the same time as me?

I know there's already a clomid thread but I think I'd get pretty lost as I'm new to this so was hoping for people to keep each other occupied as we wait in anticipation!
Xx

@PukkaTeaAddict i'm so sorry that you have been feeling down, only 2 days ago I was feeling exactly the same! It's great that you are looking in to TCM, I also had acupuncture and reflexology in previous cycles, both were very relaxing. I honestly think that you shouldn't feel bad for having a plan, everyone's different and you need to do what's right for you. I think it's so easy for someone to say things that they don't mean when they aren't in the situation, they just don't realise how much they can affect you. One way or another you will get your happy ending, give the clomid a bit more time and go from there.
All ok here thanks, am a bit obsessed with testing and have done a cheapy test today to compare the line from yesterday, today's is slightly darker so that's good but I really want a darker FRER, I've got some coming tomorrow so fingers crossed they show a good progression, I think I may feel slightly calmer then (hopefully). Still not many symptoms really, just cramping, feeling hot and feeling hungry (wanting savoury foods).

@etonmess20 sorry you are feeling low too, struggling with ttc really is a horrific thing to go through and I'm sending you lots of positive vibes for your upcoming month of clomid :) Here if you need to talk anytime!

Etonmess20 · 11/06/2020 10:50

@ktl1a thank you, it really does mean a lot!
How are you today? Have you tested again?

@PukkaTeaAddict sending positive vibes, hope you're feeling a little better today x

ktl1a · 11/06/2020 10:58

@Etonmess20 honestly on monday I was telling my husband that I don't think the clomid is working and then the next day I got my positive so try to have a bit of faith (especially combining it with the HyCoSy which flushes through your tubes). Great to have the monitoring, I'm intrigued to hear what sizes your follicles are and thickness of lining.
Yes i've tested with amazon cheapies every morning so far, the pic shows tues morning on the top (the slight line that made me then do the FRER doesn't show up much on camera), yesterday in the middle and today on the bottom, looks like there's deifnite progression :) I'm waiting for the FRER's to be delivered today and I will compare that result to Tuesday's one :)

Etonmess20 · 11/06/2020 11:02

@ktl1a glad you're feeling reassured by the tests! Have you looked into booking an early scan or are you going to wait a little bit?

I'm keen to see the results of the monitoring too actually, not that it will change any outcome but will be nice to know if it's working in the way it should or not

ktl1a · 11/06/2020 11:13

@etonmess20 that's exactly how I felt, i wanted to see that it was working and the scan i had prior to ovulation made me feel like I at least had a chance (until the tww sent me haywire lol). I think the scans will help you to at least feel a bit more informed :)
Yes I feel a bit calmer, although the IC tests aren't great, hence why I'm waiting for the FRER's to turn up. I wasn't this bad last time, I think my miscarriage has made me question everything a lot more. I will be booking an early scan for about 6(ish) weeks, just to check everything is progressing as expected, in the right place and there is a heart beat. I will probably aim for about the 29th/30th June as I will be 6+3 or 6+4 then (if all goes well)

Etonmess20 · 11/06/2020 11:17

@ktl1a completely understandable that you're more on edge this time, got everything crossed for you that you've got a super sticky one!
At least once you've had your early scan you can relax a little more. Bet the end of June feels like ages to wait though!

ktl1a · 11/06/2020 11:27

@Etonmess20 it really does! Tbh I think the early scan will help but I will then have another at about 8.5 weeks as my baby's heartbeat from my MMC stopped at 8 weeks so feel like I need to at least get past that milestone. I think I will settle down a bit after that. Last time i was sooo relaxed and happy, this time I'm still majorly happy but just want to get the next month or so over and done with. Thanks for all of your lovely words and support.

Hoping1 · 11/06/2020 12:18

Congratulations @ktl1a just seen your wonderful news xxx

ktl1a · 11/06/2020 12:31

Thanks @Hoping1 we are so so happy and still in shock. My FRER's just arrived and it looks like the line is definitly getting stronger so going to tey and relax now for a few days and just try to enjoy it :)

Thats is really good line xxx

Etonmess20 · 11/06/2020 13:22

@ktl1a that's a lovely strong line!!

Lauren87E · 11/06/2020 13:29

@ktl1a congratulations again, that's a very strong line! How many DPO are you today? X

ktl1a · 11/06/2020 14:09

Thanks ladies! I am 14DPO today, this first line was on 12DPO

sc1995 · 11/06/2020 15:44

@ktl1a a massive congratulations!!! its really reassuring to hear this.

I was wondering how you found out when you ovulated. was it the opks? or temping?
and what cycle clomid are you on?
ive used the cb opks and they've not showed any smiley faces yet (cd20 today) but with the cheapies there was a peak. (twice though) All very confusing.

ktl1a · 11/06/2020 16:01

Thanks @sc1995 I was hoping it would give all of you lovely ladies some hope, when I was going through ny cycle I was really hoping to see you all have BFP's to give me something to focus on!

I have been doing opk's for wuite a long time so know how to read them, I did then this time and actually guessed the day it would be positive before it happened as the line the day before was slightly different, i only use the amazon cheapy ones (saying that I have never got a positive from them but a strongish line to me is enough to help me guess). I also ovulate around a similar day every month so knew roughly when it would be. I also had a private follicle scan the day before i thought I would ovulate and that confirmed the follicle was ready to go. I am on cycle 1 of clomid.
I would say clearblue opk's are the better ones if you aren't a regular ovulator but when the second line gets a bit stronger start to test twice a day so you don't miss it? And either way just try to BD every other day so you cover all bases regardless. Wishing you the best of luck!

Wackadoodle84 · 11/06/2020 17:13

@ktl1a, massive congratulations to you 🥳. How many clomid cycles did you have before BFP?

I am 8dpo today, I had ‘day 21’ bloods (actually day 23 but 7dpo) yesterday and progesterone was 77 which I’m fairly happy with. Going to try not to test this month, have no tests in the house. Normally have a 14/15 day lutual phase so another week to go 🙈

How is everyone else doing with the side effects etc? Anyone else in the tww?

Lauren87E · 12/06/2020 08:47

@Wackadoodle84 Morning! Period is expected today, although I'm usually late so I won't get my hope up yet. I did a HCG test on Wednesday and Thursday and both negative. I have sore boobs, extreme fatigue and I have woken up with a UTI this morning. Not feeling positive this month at all, my mood is so low I called the dr yesterday who has suggested IAPT and also some blood tests to see if I'm deficient in anything. Supposed to start my new medication this month, il let you all know the side effects etc. How are you doing?

Wackadoodle84 · 12/06/2020 16:58

@Lauren87E fingers crossed for you that AF stays away! TTC can just be so exhausting, mentally and physically.

9dpo here today, gave in and decided to buy a test when I was in town earlier but when o got into supermarket couldn’t find any tests so took it as a sign not to test early! Feeling a bit crampy today so will see what the next few days bring

ktl1a · 12/06/2020 18:18

@Wackadoodle84 thanks so much! This was my first cycle of clomid :)

That progesterone level sounds good to me! Fingers crosses for you! My test on 11dpo didn't show up but I was using cheapy tests with dilute urine in the afternoon, my first positive was with SMU and a cheapy test but the line was really faint and made me curious enough to use a FRER. Fingers crossed for you!

@Lauren87E how are you getting on? I have everyrhing crossed for you but if it doesn't work then you can start the meds which will give you a bit more hope, sending you lots of good luck wishes.

Lauren87E · 12/06/2020 18:25

Hey ladies, I am positive I'm out this month. But your right @ktl1a at least I can start my new medication. I spoke to my boss about my low mood today and she was very very supportive. Told me if i need some time off then I just need to say. That's made me feel better because I have been reassured I have support from work. I'm hoping the Blood test show up a deficiency somewhere so I can be treated, honestly the fatigue is unbearable!! Even Mrs Hinch and her stories aren't getting me in the mood to clean! I just want to sit and watch Netflix. I'm hoping we will have some sunshine soon, I'm hoping to spend my birthday with sand between my toes! X

Wackadoodle84 · 12/06/2020 18:48

@Lauren87E your boss sounds fab and very supportive, I actually cannot imagine ever telling my boss. There is a good few in my department struggling with fertility issues. I often think the stressful environment and crazy hours we do must have a major impact. It’s an A&E dept.

Will keep fingers crossed for you that the bloods show up something easily fixable. Do you take any supplements to help with your fatigue?
Am just off nights here and currently binge watching love is blind on Netflix so I am definitely team Netflix not team clean 😂

@ktl1a thank you, fingers crossed the good level leads to a bfp, how are you feeling? Any early pregnancy symptoms?

Lauren87E · 12/06/2020 18:57

@Wackadoodle84 I have been taking some iron tablets with vitamin C and also some vitamin B supplements. I take an omega supplement too. It hasn't improved anything at all and I'm increasingly light headed. However I have suffered with low blood pressure in the past so could be that. Oh wow, I am a fellow NHS worker too! It's such a stressful time. Guidance changing most days etc! Have you noticed an increase in patients more recently since lockdown has relaxed? My boss is wonderful.
Oh I watched Love is blind!!! It was so funny and cringe at the same time! I am nearly finished watching The last Kingdom, it's sooooo good!

Wackadoodle84 · 12/06/2020 19:33

@Lauren87E the fear is definitely gone, seem to be gone back to having corridors full of patients again. It’s worrying cause so hard to enforce social distancing with such large numbers. I’m based in Ireland so with the hse.

Sounds like you are well covered with supplements so, when are you getting your bloods done? Will keep fingers crossed for something easily fixable. Have you had thyroid checked?

I’m on the last episode of love is blind here, can’t believe Kenny and Kelly didn’t get married! Will have to look up the last kingdom

Lauren87E · 13/06/2020 09:41

Morning ladies, please can I borrow your eyes and prayers! As you know I have been testing since Wednesday and had negatives. Well I bought some cheapies to keep in the house just to stop me wasting so much money on the FRER. This is the first test that I have had that I am really struggling to know if I am suffering with line eyes. I have downloaded the tweaking app that everyone raves about and I could really do with you opinion. I will do another test later and again in the morning. Let me know what you think. @ktl1a @Wackadoodle84
