Hi ,

I've taken my second tablet on my first cycle and wondering if anyone is due to start there's soon or are around the same time as me?

I know there's already a clomid thread but I think I'd get pretty lost as I'm new to this so was hoping for people to keep each other occupied as we wait in anticipation!
Xx

Not really, hoping soon just to get a bit of normality, perhaps even om the part time furlough scheme, just have to wait to hear from my employer. Yes I have Flo, get a bit obssessed with looking back at previous months (particularly the month I fell pregnant previously) but I do find it helpful to have something to look back at, I can see how it could get a bit much though! I'm on my first round of clomid so have two more left, how about you?

I drink the tea once/twice a day. Ubiquinol is apparantly for egg quality, i've been taking it for the last few months but it's so expensive! I am not due an NHS appt until a few months time and it will most likely be longer than that with the delay covid-19 caused! Just struggling to wait for it without having a date to focus on, really not coping well with the lack of control and being surrounded by so many friends that are either pregnant or new mums.

Etonmess20 · 09/06/2020 07:27

@ktl1a @Lauren87E sorry you ladies are both feeling rubbish! Sending lots of positive vibes x

@Lauren87E where are things with your treatment? Do you have more clomid left? Were you receiving it through the NHS & having monitoring?

@ktl1a I really do feel for you ☹️ I think the feelings of despair are only magnified through lockdown & furlough etc as you get a lot more time to think about things because you're outside of your normal rhythm.
What additional tests did they say you would need for the IUI?

Lauren87E · 09/06/2020 07:45

@Etonmess20 Morning ladies, I am due to start my new medication this month as I have been on 50mg of Clomid since November. The fertility dr called and said I can apply for IVF in august. Not sure what the wait times are, but I suppose it something to look forward to, although we only get one try which is a lot of pressure I'm trying to push to the back of my mind. I have had no monitoring at all, since November. Obviously we have had the coronavirus, but no planned monitoring was put in place anyway. So I don't know if I am having hyper stimulation (my ovulation pain is quite bad) I'm going to wait until AF comes next week and I start my new medication and call the fertility clinic. I'm wondering whether it might be worth getting some bloods done as I'm Vegan and it might be worth making sure I have good iron levels etc.
@ktl1a I have someone I work with who's pregnant and it's so upsetting when people fall so quickly. Thank you for your advice on the supplements, I'm going to get some raspberry leaf tea today. How you feeling this morning? X

ktl1a · 09/06/2020 10:01

So I decided to do a test with SMU before I started ringing round to book an AMH test and now I'm in absolute shock... Crazy happy but also scared as I'm only 12dpo so it is super early! More than anything in this world I hope it sticks. After yesterday's blank test I'm so surprised! Genuinely had no symptoms! I feel bad as I always said to my hubby we would do the tests together but as I thought it hadn't happened I did it and he's at work! Now getting ready to tell him when he gets home, it's going to eb a loooong day! Omg omg omg!

The line looks more solid in real life but still is fainter than my last positive one (but I did that at 15dpo). I will do another one in a couple of days to check it is getting darker. I really hope this is it as I don't know how I would deal with another loss!

Lauren87E · 09/06/2020 10:23

@ktl1a OMG!!! I can't believe what I'm seeing! No symptoms and a BFP!! You must be so so chuffed. Try and stay positive. Please stay on this thread for a while longer so we can hear how you are getting on and you can update us with your symptoms! Congrats xx

Etonmess20 · 09/06/2020 10:30

@ktl1a OMG WOW!!! I'm in a work call (camera off luckily!) & just seen your post, literally fell off my chair!!!
That's amazing news, can't tell you how pleased I am for you!
Sending all the love & stickiness! Let us know how it goes telling DH 😘 xx

ktl1a · 09/06/2020 11:45

Thanks so much ladies! I honestly couldn't believe it and am still in shock now! So there is hope for everyone with the clomid as it has done it's job for me! I will definitly stay on the thread to hear hoe you all get on and keep you updated! I will let you know how it goes later, he's going to be sooooo shocked!!!!! I always wondered how people could tell others before they tell their partner and now i've done it myself, just had to share the news with someone to make it real!

Lauren87E · 09/06/2020 12:16

@ktl1a it's mega exciting news and I bet you are googling and in complete shock! So tell us, you had NO symptoms at all?? Is there anything in the last week or so that you can reflect back and think was a possible symptom? Bet your gagging for today to whizz by lol! X

ktl1a · 09/06/2020 12:34

I really am! Just hope the day goes as quick as possible! I get twinges all the way through all of my cycles as I have adenomyosis so I very early learnt that they don't mean anything. The only things I have had are waking in the night to hot flashes (but that is a common side effect of clomid), I jad some period-like cramps during the night at 3dpo (but that is too early to meam anything really) and a few days ago I felt a bit sick during the night (but didn't think much of it as I didn't get sickness until I was 5 weeks pregnant with my MMC). Other than that I have literally jad npthing, my boobs don't feel sore and are the same size (whereas last time they were really sore and big straight away but other than that I had no symptoms). So it turns out that having no symptoms is a symptom for me! :)

Etonmess20 · 09/06/2020 17:21

@ktl1a really happy for you. Let us know how it goes telling DH x

PukkaTeaAddict · 09/06/2020 19:12

Congratulations @ktl1a !! I'm so happy for you! You must be over the moon!
I've since bought raspberry leaf tea and more pomegranate juice 😂

ktl1a · 09/06/2020 19:14

@Etonmess20 he was so shocked and happy, even had a few tears! It feels completely surreal to us both. Now watching tele like we usually would on a normal evening and it just seems crazy to think that it has happened! We both are just really hopeful that baby will stay put and everything goes well, will organise an early scan in a few weeks for a bit of peace of mind.

ktl1a · 09/06/2020 19:18

@PukkaTeaAddict thanks so much, I'm so so happy! Definitly drink the tea, once or twice a day (it's an aquired taste but worth it) and the pom juice once a day (i mix with apple juice to take the twang away), I do all of that up to ovulation. Don't drink the tea after ovulation as it makes your uterus contract slightly which is good for the lining but could mess up implantation if you drank it in the tww. Anything is worth a try! Vitamins, pineapple and brazil nuts are also good. I am wishing you all so much luck and I can't wait to see more BFP's on this thread!

Etonmess20 · 09/06/2020 21:29

@ktl1a so glad you got to have your happy time telling DH, sure it'll sink in over the next few days. Glad you're not having any bad symptoms yet too, but sure there's plenty of time for that!
Are you going to try & get an early scan? Who knows, clomid May have even caused you multiples 🙊

Etonmess20 · 09/06/2020 21:29

@PukkaTeaAddict how's things with you lovely? X

ktl1a · 09/06/2020 21:40

@Etonmess20 thank you, it was so lovely. I will do another cheapy test tomorrow in the hope the line is a bit stronger and then a digital in a few days. I know it's a definite positive but it's so early I'd like to keep an eye on it. I actually quite look forward to the nausea, it will make it feel a bit more real. At the moment it just feels unreal. You kust be due to start a new cycle soon? So you try your next lot of clomid, so exciting! Especially combined with the HyCoSy!

Etonmess20 · 10/06/2020 07:36

@ktl1a what's the process now? Do you tell you GP immediately? I agree about doing some more tests but just try not to stress about it
Im CD23 today so my CD2 should probably be a week today. I've had a little bit of pinky tinged CM for the past week or so but think it's related to the HyCoSy rather than anything else.
We did get an offer accepted on a house on Monday though which is good news! 🥳

ktl1a · 10/06/2020 07:42

@Etonmess20 Congrats on the house offer! So exciting for you! And you could celebrate with a glass pf bubbly so good timing! Yes I would guess that the pink cm would be the HyCoSy, I think i had similar.

I will email the midwife from my GP surgery, that's how she contacted me in my previous pregnancy. I should then have a booking appointment at around 8 weeks (all being well) and from thwn thwy will organise the 12 week scan. But tbh i will be organising my own 6(ish) week scan and probably another at 9 weeks just to pass the next couple of months as I am feeling a bit nervous, I knew I would after everything that happened last time but also super happy and excited :)

Etonmess20 · 10/06/2020 07:50

@ktl1a thank you! It's not been exciting yet as such, more stressful trying to pull stuff together for the mortgage etc but I'm hoping once that's all sorted we can get excited. They also haven't found anywhere yet so not sure when we'll be moving!
I haven't been worried particularly, it's only been a tiny bit!
I wonder whether if you tell the midwife you've had clomid then they'll arrange you for an early reassurance scan? I know my consultant said they could arrange me for a 6 week scan because of taking clomid. Although no harm arranging it yourself if you'd prefer

PukkaTeaAddict · 10/06/2020 09:17

@Etonmess20 I'm up and down, mostly down! I think I'm struggling more with the mood side effects of clomid this month as I seem to just be angry or sad at the moment! Thank god I am working from home as there have been a couple of moments where I've struggled to keep it together! We have booked an appointment with a Chinese doctor for next week, to try TCM methods next cycle. Who knows what he will say, but I've heard at least acupuncture can help.

My mum and MIL know that we are trying and we spoke to them about our plans to stop trying and go for adoption in a few months, and they both said in a roundabout way that they don't think we will be trying hard enough/for long enough. It just makes me feel like a failure for not being able to deal with it! They both keep reciting stories of "well this person tried for X many years and she managed to get pregnant" which isn't very helpful at all!

How are you getting on?

Etonmess20 · 10/06/2020 10:01

@PukkaTeaAddict sorry to hear you've been feeling down ☹️ apparently the clomid rage is a reasonably common side effect, I also think being at home constantly probably doesn't help. I know I've raged at colleagues who I normally really get on with because their "email sounded shitty" or something so you're not alone there!
Hopefully the TCM Dr can offer some advice & medication, I bet they can't do acupuncture at the moment can they?

To be honest, they probably meant well & we're just trying to keep you positive. I doubt they meant to say you hadn't been trying long enough. The thing is, it's a very personal thing & if you've never experienced it you can't understand. Only you know when you feel you're been through enough.

I'm not too bad thanks, probably back on the clomid next week so we'll see how that goes. I've been a bit up & down as well too, I feel like it'll never happen. But, as above, the constantly being at home, stress of new house etc probably isn't helping either! I have found that exercising really helps improve my mood. I feel quite anxious today but not entirely sure what about 😬

PukkaTeaAddict · 10/06/2020 16:10

I'm hoping that they

PukkaTeaAddict · 10/06/2020 16:17

Oops! Don't know what happened there!

I'm hoping that they are open for acupuncture but I'm happy to wait if needs be!

That's true, it's hard to put things in perspective when you're in you're own little infertility bubble!

@Etonmess20 I bet! Moving is stressful enough, let alone in this climate! I know how you feel about thinking it will never happen. It's so hard to stay positive 100% of the time. Are you looking forward to starting on the clomid next month after your month off?

@ktl1a how are you getting on?

Etonmess20 · 10/06/2020 16:33

@PukkaTeaAddict I suppose I am, I don't hold out too much hope on the clomid (rightly or wrongly). I'm just trying not to be disappointed I think. I'm looking forward to the monitoring part of it actually as then at least I'll know if it's working
