Clomid cycle1

Hi ,

I've taken my second tablet on my first cycle and wondering if anyone is due to start there's soon or are around the same time as me?

I know there's already a clomid thread but I think I'd get pretty lost as I'm new to this so was hoping for people to keep each other occupied as we wait in anticipation!

@PukkaTeaAddict how are you doing? Did AF arrive? (Just catching you on messages!) the negative FRER I got last cycle was gutting so I feel your pain ☹️

PukkaTeaAddict · 02/06/2020 18:13

Hi @Etonmess20 AF did come, yes. The only plus is that it is really heavy (never thought I would wish for a heavy period!) so I hope that means that my supplements are working and I have a nice thick lining! (It is usually quite light).

I guess I just have to be more careful of getting hopeful this month!

Me and DH had a big chat last night about all of our options, and have set a provisional date for us to go full steam ahead with going for adoption if nothing has happened.

I'm so glad to hear about your scan! It must be a huge relief! When is CD1 for you?

ktl1a · 02/06/2020 18:18

@PukkaTeaAddict I had a scan last year that showed a really thin lining and since then I have been taking vits/drinking juices as an attempt to thicken it, they def helped make my AF's heavier and my most recemt scan showed a really good lining so definitly keep it up! I also eat a few brazil nuts after ovulations and eat some pineapple as that is meant to help the lining be more receptive. My hubby thinks i'm mad with all the things I do! Nice that you've had a chat so you know where you are, maybe it will help you if you have a plan :)

PukkaTeaAddict · 02/06/2020 18:59

@ktl1a oh that sounds good! I haven't eaten Brazil nuts but did eat pineapple and drank pomegranate juice!

How are you doing? How are you coping with the TWW? Have you got any symptoms?

ktl1a · 02/06/2020 19:22

@PukkaTeaAddict I'll try anything that might help and have read loads of articles, completely obssessed lol.

Tww is going fine so far, i'm 5dpo and so far the only symptom was AF-like cramps on 3dpo. Not sure if it's a good thing to have no symptoms of not! Tbh i think the first week's symptoms have to be discounted as you can't be pregnant then anyway. Just really hoping that this is our month but not feeling convinced really!

Etonmess20 · 02/06/2020 20:59

@PukkaTeaAddict rubbish that AF turned up but least you've had a chat with DP & you have a plan going forward. That is also good that you've been heavier this time, definitely going in the right direction! Hope you're managing to stay fairly positive x

I'm CD15 today so I should be CD1 on 16th. I'm happy to be getting some monitoring going forward as well. I was so shocked by how nice the Dr was yesterday, he's the head of department in my local area & he was so lovely!

ktl1a · 05/06/2020 17:52

Hi ladies, hope your ok! I'm waking up in the night alot with hot flashes and had a bit of nausea last night aswell. Did any one else get the same symptoms with clomid after ovulation? I am 8DPO now and I genuinly think it's all down to the clomid but thought i was worth an ask :)

Etonmess20 · 05/06/2020 18:43

Hi @ktl1a no I didn't get this, I only remember being hot one night & I think that was the first day I actually took it.
I've got my 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻 for you x

LuluBlondie · 05/06/2020 18:51

Hey there, glad to hear that all is well. I’m 8 days DPO too, but suffering greatly from OHSS - distended stomach and huge ovaries. I’m on bed rest until we have a better understanding of the disease and whether or not I’m pregnant. It’s getting increasingly harder to cope! Anyway, I’m philosophical about it, so let’s hope all of this pain will be worth it in the long term.

Lulu xx

LuluBlondie · 05/06/2020 18:53

So sorry to hear about AF. Keep your spirits up (literally as well as metaphorically!) and try again. Much love

ktl1a · 05/06/2020 19:28

@lulublondie that sounds horrendous! You poor thing! Would that be why you ovulated so early too? Really hope it all settles down soon and you get a positive result from it!

Thanks @etonmess20! I'm trying not to read into things but you can't help that nagging doubt in the back of your mind! That being said my boobs aren't sore at all and i feel completely normal otherwise so genuinly think I won't be lucky, even though i know it's still early!

Etonmess20 · 06/06/2020 06:40

@LuluBlondie oh no that's terrible! Really hope you're feeling better soon ☹️ were you on 50mg of clomid?

@ktl1a it's difficult isn't it? It's kind of been nice in a way to have a month off from the pressure.

ktl1a · 06/06/2020 06:46

@Etonmess20 I bet! A month to relax, drink plenty of wine and BD just because you want to sounds great to me! Ttc really does take the excitement out of everything!

Etonmess20 · 06/06/2020 06:51

@ktl1a it really does! We've rebooked our holiday that we should have been going on next week for 8th July so 🤞🏻 we can go! Covid has cancelled 2 holidays for us so far & im in desperate need of a break 😂

ktl1a · 06/06/2020 06:56

@Etonmess20 that sounds lovely, hopefully it will all go ahead this time! It's so important to get away from everything and just be together. We haven't got anything booked at the moment, perhaps later in the year, I just never know what to plan with ttc! I end up doing short notice. Fingers crossed everything gets back to a semblance of normality soon, it looks like we're on the right track!

Etonmess20 · 06/06/2020 07:26

@ktl1a I'm hoping so. I'm always really worried about going anywhere too exotic after the Zika virus warnings a couple of years ago but you never really hear of it anymore so god knows 🤷🏼‍♀️ DP & I are only going to the canaries so hopefully we'll be allowed to go!
I do agree though I never like to plan stuff like that too far in advance because you don't know where you could be do you x

ktl1a · 06/06/2020 07:36

I think Zika is more in South America, I went on an exotic holiday before we started ttc and I had to check that the area wasn't affected by it before starting, if only I had known we would find it difficult so I didn't need to worry so much! The canaries sound great, a bit of sun and relaxation, I mighthave to look in to something for later in the year, your giving me the holiday bug!

Etonmess20 · 06/06/2020 08:32

@ktl1a yeah I think that area is the worst for it but there is a lot of countries listed even as low risk, we darent take the chance as mosquitoes LOVE me 😬
I'd definitely have a look if I was you, there's some really good deals around at the moment. I was looking at booking another for September 😂 we love a holiday!!! we're making the most of the adults only hotels while we still can! 😂

ktl1a · 08/06/2020 18:26

How's everyone getting on? I'm feeling pretty low today, near enough 100% sure that it hasn't happened this month. I know you shouldn't expect it to but is still hard! So fed up with this journey!

Lauren87E · 08/06/2020 19:14

@ktl1a same! I am due AF in the next few days. I have extreme fatigue and cramps. No other symptoms. All of the symptoms are the same as when I am expected a period so I'm not hopeful. How are you doing? Sorry your feeling low, I'm in the same boat too. Please feel free to sound off because this is a safe place with like minded people. Smile

ktl1a · 08/06/2020 19:36

@Lauren87E thanks for your kind words, sorry to hear you are going through the same thing! It's hard as you have a faint hope that maybe you will be lucky but pretty sure it won't at the same time. I am due AF on approx Fri, stupidly decided to do an early test today (at 11dpo) and was obviously negative as I have literally no signs. I never do a test, always just wait for AF but decided to do one as I have a load of cheapies in the drawer. Here if you need to chat too

Lauren87E · 08/06/2020 19:48

@ktl1a I have been there too, so many times. I'm starting to feel like my body doesn't work and it's really heartbreaking. I have just started taking some iron tablets with vitamin c and some omega supplements. I also read one of the other posters has been drinking pomegranate juice so I bought some yesterday. This is what it does to your mind, I will try anything. It's really affecting my mood and my job. I have to admit, lockdown has been hard. Are you still working? X

ktl1a · 08/06/2020 19:57

Oh yes definitly feel the same, literally feel like my body is useless, I never thought I could feel so negative about myself as I have over the last year! I take vitamin E, B complex, ubiquinol and folic acid. Pomegranate juice helps to build up with the lining (and red raspberry leaf tea), I drink them from end of AF up until ovulation and have made a majoy difference to my lining!

Lockdown has been a bit surreal, I am on furlough so twiddling my thumbs a bit to be honest!

I even started considering trying IUI today but after ringing a few clinics it seems like it would take quite a bit of time with the tests I'd need (even though i've had most of them over the last year!) So that has frustrated me a lot!

Lauren87E · 08/06/2020 20:07

@ktl1a oh no that can't be helping, any idea on when you will be looking to go back? Do you have the app Flo? I feel like I'm obsessing all the time, using it and looking at it frequently during the day. Hoping that it might give me a miracle sign lol! How many courses of clomid do you have left?
I will look at getting some raspberry red leaf tea, what is the equinol for? Thickening your lining as well? Have you requested the IUI via the NHS or a fertility clinic? X

Lauren87E · 08/06/2020 20:07

@ktl1a sorry I meant ubiquinol
