Ivf March/April?

Hello,
Is anyone starting Ivf in March/April?
It would be nice to have some buddies.

I'm going for pre bloods and scans mid March, and expect to have egg retrieval around.

It's my first round, have been ttc for over a year and a half - unexplained infertility 🤷🏼‍♀️

bunhead34 · 23/03/2020 18:10

@bunhead34, I have been taking them since 18th, seemed like forever, extra week waiting for AF then extra week cos of a cyst and lining not thin enough. Will be glad when tonight's is over

Has anyone just watched Boris’ statement ........ does our apt’s count as a medical need .... I think it should but don’t think HFEA and the like do ? X

Lianne32 · 23/03/2020 21:19

Not sure if this means cancelled because like my Nurse said today ivf isn’t essential :-(

Celerysam · 23/03/2020 22:42

I have just come on here not knowing where else to turn. My husband won't talk about the IVF failing again. I have totally fallen apart. I have literally screamed with the pain of it all, I have so much anger in me that once again it failed without the embryo even having chance to implant because my consultant dismissed my concerns.

I literally don't want to wake up tomorrow. I do not want to carry on. My whole life I just wanted my little family, a husband and 3 children with a nice pet dog. It's literally what I've longed for my whole life. Ice gone through losing a baby, I've gone through 3 failed IVF's and I have no strength left. I don't want to see one more family out together. I would break if anyone else had a baby.

I literally don't want to carry on any more.

41trying · 23/03/2020 22:57

Hi @Celerysam, what's happened? I know its hard but here to talk if you need to

Dia12 · 23/03/2020 22:58

So sorry about what you're going through @Celerysam. Lots of us can relate to the way you are feeling. I too feel like I'm just hanging on by the skin of my teeth.
Do you want to talk about what happened this cycle? This is a safe place to vent.
But do remember, things will get easier, somehow they always do, given enough time.

I'm back from EC, not the best news as only collected 2 eggs. So the nervous wait for a call tomorrow now to see if they fertilise.
If at least one does, they will put it back Friday? Toes and fingers crossed

Lianne32 · 25/03/2020 12:58

Elouera · 25/03/2020 13:23

@41trying- best of luck with the call tomorrow.
@Lianne32- Good luck tonight. (I woke up with super tender nipples which seemed to have doubled in size when I took my trigger!!! Grin

bunhead34 · 25/03/2020 18:28

I had a scan this morning. I'm triggering tonight, and ec Friday.
Not sure how I will manage to stay up until midnight to trigger 😂

Xx40yearsyoungxx · 25/03/2020 20:28

@bunhead34 and @lianne32 - good luck tonight and Friday ! Are they letting you transfer ?

@41trying - good luck too . Hope you get positive news in the call !!!! Keep us updated

X

Elouera · 25/03/2020 20:39

@bunhead34- midnight to trigger! I know it must be at a set time, but likely means you aren't one of the earlier appointments of the day. My trigger was 20:30, and the 1st to go in for retrieval on the day. Best of luck. Not sure if this is your 1st round of IVF, but mine was fine. I wrongly thought that if the eggs at 2cm wide, then I'll have that size hole where they are retrieved. I expected lots of pain and bleeding, but thankfully had neither. You will be fine and it was much better than I thought x

bunhead34 · 25/03/2020 20:59

@Xx40yearsyoungxx I don't think I'll get to transfer, they said it would be freeze but of for any reason the embryos can't be frozen they will still do transfer.
It is my first round, thanks for the reassurance, really I've no idea what to expect. I had a hycosy which was awful - so really hoping it's nothing like that!

@Lianne32 good luck to you too!

41trying · 25/03/2020 21:52

Good luck @bunhead34 and @Elouera for tomorrow. This is my 4th EC and all have been fine, nothing paracetamol wont fix, I hope it goes well for you.

Lianne32 · 25/03/2020 22:57

So I pulled the trigger - teardrop amount was left in the bottle - i couldn’t get the plunger down any more. do these things have overfill before I drive myself nuts xx

41trying · 26/03/2020 10:35

Well i had the call.
Both eggs were mature but only one fertilised normally. So I will get a call tomorrow to make sure its divided as expected, then transfer at 10, another waiting day ahead.
I hope EC goes well today @bunhead34 and @Elouera

Elouera · 26/03/2020 11:12

@41trying- Good luck tomorrow. To clarify, I had embryo transfer last saturday, so just waiting time now x

41trying · 26/03/2020 11:14

Oh Sorry @Elouera, I tagged wrong person.
How are you feeling?
