Hello,
Is anyone starting Ivf in March/April?
It would be nice to have some buddies.

I'm going for pre bloods and scans mid March, and expect to have egg retrieval around.

It's my first round, have been ttc for over a year and a half - unexplained infertility 🤷🏼‍♀️

Morning all, just back from clinic, its business as usual unless you are not well.
Scan went as well as to be expected, 8 folicols between 10-12, which is expected today. So I'm staying in now until EC hopefully next Wednesday. I have another scan Friday and Monday booked.

AliciaWhiskers · 18/03/2020 10:58

@41trying are they still going to do ET or are you freezing?

41trying · 18/03/2020 11:03

@AliciaWhiskers, fresh as long as nothing changes

Xx40yearsyoungxx · 18/03/2020 12:30

@41trying great news for you ..... keep us updated !!

bunhead34 · 18/03/2020 13:31

I've just been told our cycle will be frozen.
My clinic aren't taking on any new patients and and freezing the ones they have already started - for FET god knows when!

@bunhead34, it's crazy how everywhere is doing something different, well for now anyways

Hoping1 · 18/03/2020 18:01

Its so crazy at the min. I hope you are all safe and OK. I went to hospital Tuesday I was on the long protocol path got to hospital and from my last scan it shows I have far to many folicies I have over 50 in my ovaries. I am now on short protocol all been well. They have put me straight on a diabetes drug has anyone else had this xxx

41trying · 18/03/2020 18:16

Wow @Hoping1 that's a lot, is that even before stimming?
I know a lady on another thread has like 64 in short protocol, she had to freeze all. I dont know about any other drugs though

Hoping1 · 18/03/2020 18:25

Yea that before stimming xxx

LBJ2410 · 19/03/2020 08:54

I'm so sorry to read all the bad news about cycles being cancelled.. I was so worried this was going to happen to me too!

I had my FET on Tuesday on the same day started with a bad stomach bug!! I can barely keep water down so I've pretty much written myself off already 😫 so annoying after all this time.

The clinic have said to just carry on with my meds and didn't sound too concerned but I just can't see it working now. Has anyone else experienced this?

Elouera · 19/03/2020 10:41

I was due for fresh transfer this morning, but told it will be saturday now. Apparently all 3 fertilised eggs are doing well! I was just so shocked on the call that I cried. (9yrs TTC and 2 losses). Early days I know, but also wondering if they are just trying to get them to a stage for freezing?

Hoping1 · 19/03/2020 11:12

Just had clinic on the phone they ringing everyone all IVF cancelled till further notices xxx

Xx40yearsyoungxx · 19/03/2020 11:28

@hoping1 - so sorry to hear that
Are you Nhs or private ?

This is so upsetting for everyone x

Hoping1 · 19/03/2020 11:45

Yea NHS James cook xxxx

Blacksheep33 · 19/03/2020 12:03

@Elouera congratulations on your growing embryos! Sounds like they think you will have some on Saturday to transfer and that’s why they’ve delayed to day 5. Great news and I have everything crossed for you!

I think in general clinics are taking advice and adapting their position on a day to day basis.

I had EC yesterday and no mention of Coronavirus at all. Today the embryologist rang me with my fertilisation report and told me that they aren’t sure whether they’ll be doing fresh transfers by Monday (my day 5) and that I may have to freeze any that I have at day 5. But things are moving by the minute and they just don’t know. They take advice from HFEA and the royal college of gynaecology and at the moment they expect an update from them over the weekend as to their latest advice on fertility treatment. They also expect London may go into lockdown which would hamper things further.

It’s all so unknown - hopefully over the next few weeks things become clearer as to when we can all start new cycles/FET

Presh12345 · 19/03/2020 12:13

I had collection on St Patrick's Day (bring me some luck!!). I had 5 eggs, 2 mature and 2 fertilised. Had my day 2 update today and 1 is normal at 2-4 cells and 1 is faster at 6 cells. Not doing fresh transfer and they will be sent for PGS on Sunday if they make it that far!!!

Elouera · 19/03/2020 13:17

@Blacksheep33- thanks for the good wishes.

@Presh12345- congrats and best of luck x

41trying · 19/03/2020 17:25

At my clinic we have patient portal for appointment, files etc. So here come an email to say I have a message. Yes I shit myself.
As my clinic is not suitable or overnight stays, not connected to a hospital blah blah, it is business aa usual unless you want to postpone or have eggs frozen.
There was a lot more on email that just that but I think I am quite glad as this is my last cycle and I'm nearly ready for EC.

I do hope everyone is well and not too disappointed if you have had cycles postponed for now

Xx40yearsyoungxx · 20/03/2020 09:16

@41trying great news for you - fingers crossed you get to EC

Lianne32 · 20/03/2020 14:57

I’m on day 5 of bemfola, I went for my scan today and o had 8 follicles on both ovaries so 16 they aren’t big yet - I think biggest was 9-11mm - does anyone think this is ok? She says I’m responding fine / I think maybe slower I’m on low dose because of pcos - she hasn’t changed my dose - 100iu xx

41trying · 20/03/2020 15:40

Hi @Lianne32, everyone I's different and in LP and SP different meds, but sounds good to me

41trying · 20/03/2020 15:42

Scan went well today, folicols between 10-15 so stim over weekend hopefully trigger after mondays scan

Elouera · 20/03/2020 16:19

@41trying- 10-15 follicles, or mm? Well done either way and good luck. I'm due to have embryo/s put in tomorrow- unless we hear otherwise!
(fingers crossed)
