I find it so interesting with all the different scan dates. Since my baseline I have to go in every other day for my scans and hoping for EC Monday. My follicle count is around 7-8 on left and the 4 they can see on the right ovary I don't think they will access. If only takes one though right!

As I generally feel awful (due to the 2 large cysts I have) I don't seem to feel any heavier in my tummy. I've not had many symptoms really apart from the menopur stings so bad as I'm on a high dose of 375ml, they asked me to reduce it to 225 after today's scan and it didn't sting at all. When I read about the fyremadel stinging I was dreading it but it's nowhere near as bad as the menopur, it's the medicine that stings for me not the needle.

huffleclaw · 15/01/2020 22:32

All sounding great everyone! So much progress from you all.

Good luck for everyone having egg collection tomorrow and I hope the little embies keep growing and the two week wait isn't too horrendous!

Had my scan and injection training today and then did my first injection this evening. My husband works evenings so it's just going to be me doing them by myself. He was off tonight so was good to have him sat there reassuring me that I was doing it right! All by myself tomorrow!

Took a while to psych myself up to actually stab myself with the needle but I got there!! I'm on Fostimon - is anyone else on that? Have scans next Mon/Wed/Fri.

I teach Nursery so no hiding from the fact I have to go to appointments but work have been fab! Kids are less impressed by me going to 'meetings' though! Clinic is 45 mins away so it makes it a long time out of school.

Is anyone else in Wales? I live in Cardiff but having treatment in Neath Port Talbot because they didn't have a waiting list!

jcurve · 15/01/2020 23:15

@Melissa1983 I’m the same, I hated Menopur but Fyremadel was ok. Menopur stings and it made me feel very ill on a couple of days. I hope it gets easier for you. If it helps, massaging the injection site to disperse the injection seems to help with the sting.

Had my call, out of 9 collected, 8 were mature. 1 didnt survive ICSI, 2 fertilised abnormally and 5 are looking good Grin

Rovera12 · 16/01/2020 09:33

Hello ladies , out of 6 fertilised they are all doing ok. 4 at the normal stage it should be on day 3, which she said were 8cells and 2 have grown really fast at 11cells. Fingers crossed no calls for update tomorrow. My next appointment for ET is Saturday 10am.
I have started speaking life and growth in our embryos, praying for goodnews for everyone today Gods grace.

BambiOnIce80 · 16/01/2020 09:46

Excellent news to start the day with @UnicornPuff @Rovera12! 🤩 Sounds like things are looking good for a day 5 transfer for you both 🤞🏻

Lily999 · 16/01/2020 10:14

Good morning, so many positive news here! @Rovera12 that's the best possible news 6 out of 6, it's brilliant! Nice fertalisation numbers @UnicornPuff. Busy weekend we are going to have.
AF got heavier by this morning so I am happier, also went for my first ever acupuncture session yesterday, that was a rather strange experience... when she put the needles in it did hurt and my first thought was I want to leave and never come back, can't believe I am paying for this! :D Then we got to the relaxation phase and she dimmed the light, put on relaxation music and left me alone. I am sure it's just me and I am crazy, but there was a clock on the wall that was ticking so loudly that it was the only thing I could hear, but it was not in sync with the music so it drove me nuts Grin Maybe I am unable to relax I don't know, but she popped in about half time and asked if everything is ok, I told her about the clock and there is probably something unfixable with me when it comes to just lying still and emptying my mind. Hmm She said it's not unusual and removed the bloody clock. After this I was able to relay and drift away so it was good at the end. :)

Nmvasey · 16/01/2020 10:22

Morning girls, not great news for me unfortunately. Only two of my eggs were mature and neither fertilised unfortunately 😔 lucky in a sense that we get 3 funded tries but still very disappointing

Lily999 · 16/01/2020 10:34

OH @Nmvasey so sorry to hear :( As you said try and focus on the fact how lucky you are to have 2 more rounds, will you have a follow up appointment to discuss what went wrong and what can they do differently next time?

41trying · 16/01/2020 11:00

@Nmvasey, so sorry to hear your news
Keep your head up. My first 2 cycle were the same and here I am now in my TWW. You have to try and stay positive or it will drive you crazy.

Nmvasey · 16/01/2020 11:02

@41trying what were your circs the first two times if you don’t mind me asking? I have everything 🤞🏻 for you this time around Xx

UnicornPuff · 16/01/2020 11:10

@Nmvasey I am sorry to hear your news. Next time the doctors have so much more info on how you will respond so can make adjustments. I have everything crossed for next time.

41trying · 16/01/2020 11:13

@Nmvasey, I only had one collected each time and I was doing natural/Mild, so lowest meds. Neither fertilised. As I am private I changed clinic and explained what happened. I did long protocol this time.

Kellyprt1 · 16/01/2020 11:29

Hi all

I had 9 eggs
Just had call 4 fertilised... Nervous wait till day 5. Its not a lot but there's hope x

BambiOnIce80 · 16/01/2020 11:31

I am so, so sorry to hear your news @Nmvasey 💙😔 Like you say, this is nowhere near the end of the road and the clinic will look at what happened this time and tailor your next cycle to get the best possible outcome. Will they meet with you soon and go through when you can start your next cycle?x

Kellyprt1 · 16/01/2020 11:33

@Nmvasey sorry to hear.. They know more now you have had one cycle the next two can be more taylored to you.. Plus 3 funded cycles is so lucky so fingers crossed for you xx

Meganlouise1988 · 16/01/2020 11:56

@Nmvasey so sorry to hear that. I feel your pain. It’s been a really tough week for us. Can they give you any indication as to why? We have our review meeting yesterday but we got nowhere, don’t feel like we know anything different to what we did. We’re going to see Jonathan Ramsey in London next month and have an appointment with Care to start again. Unfortunately we only got one nhs go!

Congratulations to everyone with ECs and fertilisation. Not particularly religious but praying hard for you. X

Lily999 · 16/01/2020 12:00

You will not believe what just happened... got a phone call from the clinic saying they messed up and due to an error I got the wrong information pack and was put on the short protocol by mistake! So we should not go tomorrow and we are not starting treatment tomorrow after all!
They will send out the nasal spray that I have to start using on day 21 of my cycle (so almost 3weeks from now) then I will be on the nasal spray for 2-3weeks and it will take for ages to complete. The baseline scan will be 6weeks later than it was going to (was gonna be tomorrow). I am so upset and feel let down! :(

justkeeprunning5 · 16/01/2020 12:13

Hi all,

Hope it’s ok if I join, we are on the NHS and have one fresh cycle covered and two frozen transfers. Technically unexplained but I have endo and husbands SA seem to be hit and miss so always think the unexplained is a bit off. TTC 3.5 years.

We had an IVF cycle in October that resulted in 6 embryos. Found the drugs ok and responded well but Unfortunately the fresh transfer didn’t work and we are now onto a frozen transfer. Started drugs last week and just waiting for my period to start and we will then transfer next month.

Trying to keep positive but also negative thoughts crap in ‘how on earth will this ever work for us’. Found the emotion really hard to deal with following the failed transfer last time.

jcurve · 16/01/2020 12:45

@Lily999 I completely understand how much a clock would annoy you! I absolutely detest acupuncture (I’m quite needle phobic) and don’t find it the least bit relaxing, but I’m hoping the benefits of increased blood flow etc pay off.

I had my EC this morning & it was a bit disappointing. Although they retrieved 11 good follicles, only 5 had eggs. I had responded really well to the drugs as well. Fingers crossed the ICSI works it’s magic.

BambiOnIce80 · 16/01/2020 12:58

Really sorry to hear that your meeting didn't tell you anything more @Meganlouise1988. It sounds like you've already got your ducks in a row going forward - you've clearly got this 💪💐

Oh @Lily999 I'm so sorry! 😢 That's a horrible let down 😔 Do I remember you saying that you had two different AMH results pre/post lap (sorry if I've miss-remembered that 😣)? If so, could that be why they've gotten it wrong?x

Welcome @justkeeprunning5 👋 Wishing you the best of luck with your FET 🍀

That's great that you've got 4 fertilised and growing @Kellyprt1 😊 Will they give you an update on day 3?

Meganlouise1988 · 16/01/2020 13:05

@BambiOnIce80 sink or swim! It’s been awful seeing OH so sad, I think that’s been the worst part. He keeps saying sorry 😪 so I thought the best thing i can do to help right now is to be proactive and positive. Not that I always feel particularly positive! X

Chooklass · 16/01/2020 13:13

Sorry to hear your news @Nmvasey 💐, and yours too @Lily999 - that must be bloody frustrating!

I'm feeling crap today 😩. Not really had any symptoms until now (stims day 8) but I'm exhausted, teary and feel sick (I also just got the ewcm you guys were all mentioning last week - which I now know is ok!). Got scan in morning so will at least see how things are going. I'm high risk of ohss so a bit worried, but my tummy isn't very sore, more just uncomfortable 🤔
