First thread is filling up fast so I thought I'd get a new one ready so we can keep on supporting each other through this crazy journey! Will post a link in old thread 😊xx

@Minster2012 is waking early a thing on progesterone? I've been lying awake since 4.30!

@justkeeprunning5 I'm taking transfer day off then working from home the following day, trying to keep stress free

Minster2012 · 07/02/2020 07:18

@Parkandride yes the progesterone and early waking is definitely a thing!! Lots of ppl report it, I had reached a good stage with with my body of waking at about 3 or 4 but generally going back to sleep after a bit, but last night oh my word I think I’ve been awake all night since 1 and very crampy. So frustrating but I suppose I’m excited🤦🏼‍♀️I can have a sleep later 🤞🏻

Parkandride · 07/02/2020 10:20

Haha the side effects never end do they.

I'm transferring Monday, wonder if they'll ring with a time today or if it'll be over the weekend. Also pondering if I can have one last drink this weekend, I'm not much of a drinker but I'd love a glass of wine!

Minster2012 · 07/02/2020 10:57

@Parkandride we are on our way in now, we got told we would get a call around 10 and it was 9.45, transfer 11.30.

I had a g&t last night, in a hot bath! Our clinic says it’s good to settle nerves with a glass of wine the night before transfer! 🤷‍♀️

Parkandride · 07/02/2020 12:55

Good luck!

Lily999 · 07/02/2020 13:10

Best of luck @Minster2012 thinking of you!

@jcurve nice to hear from you. I am surprised they would like to do a transfer before your surgery, how come? I was under the impression that for the special ones like you and me that is a bad idea as our chances are a lot lower before surgery? Now I am megaconfused...

Minster2012 · 07/02/2020 14:21

Thank you!!!!
All done and dusted, back home with one embryo hopefully also snuggling up! Weird feeling being pregnant until proven otherwise just discussing what medications I have & if I can take them 🙈😫

lilybelle123 · 07/02/2020 18:54

And we’re home from egg collection, and curled up taking it easy- 16 eggs collected from 16 follicles.... tomorrow we find out how many fertilized- does anyone know how many usually fertilize? Like is it 50% or anything?

So relieved this part is over- and it really wasn’t bad 😊

Sabz36 · 07/02/2020 19:21

@lilybelle123 I'm not sure it works like that but they said a good number is 70-80% of eggs retrieved to be fertilised and then 70% of those to get to blastocyst. But this is never text book.

Sabz36 · 07/02/2020 19:39

Question for anyone who did a FET did you get a heavy period?

Minster2012 · 07/02/2020 20:34

@lilybelle123 congratulations on a great number! That’s fantastic, fingers crossed for good fertilisation & growing, I found that waiting for the calls terrifying

Lily999 · 08/02/2020 09:30

Morning @lilybelle123 have you heard about the fertilisation results?

lilybelle123 · 08/02/2020 10:13

Waiting for the call is torture! They said they’d call by 12 so watching the clock and so nervous. Just going to relax today.... more sore today than yesterday- think the big meds have definitely worn off.

huffleclaw · 08/02/2020 10:30

@lilybelle123 good luck today! I had 16 eggs collected, only 2 fertilised and we were a bit gutted but both of them have grown nicely and we have frozen two good quality embryos! It really is a rollercoaster of waiting for news!

@Sabz36 I am 10 days post egg collection and starting to feel a bit like my period might be arriving. I am usually really heavy anyways so not sure if I will tell the difference. Has your period started now? How many days post EC are you?

Good luck @Minster2012 hope that little embryo makes himself very comfy!!

How are you feeling @Lily999?

Good luck for Monday @Parkandride I am sure you are fine to have a glass of wine this weekend. I'm sure I saw someone on here who's clinic recommended a glass of wine the night before to relax!

How are you feeling @Stace999?

Glad you have your date @justkeeprunning5

lilybelle123 · 08/02/2020 12:03

Just got the call- we’re down to 6.... feeling a little gutted too @huffleclaw 😔 and I know I shouldn’t be... apparently 6 were immature, 3 didn’t fertilize and one was abnormal... so I guess 60% fertilized out of the mature ones.... next call will be on Tuesday.... it’s going to feel like forever I can tell already lol

Sabz36 · 08/02/2020 13:09

@huffleclaw mine was 15 days later but that's when I expected it within my normal cycle. They told me it might be late and it was in fact early by like a day. The PMS was crazy. I think at least 2-3 days in a row I had a sit down sobbing type of cry before leaving the house. Glad that part is over

Minster2012 · 08/02/2020 13:14

@lilybelle123 6 is still good but I can understand your disappointment, stay busy. The waiting is torture. I found this one the worst

Stace999 · 08/02/2020 13:39

@huffleclaw I'm feeling OK I'm quite impatient so find the waiting hard would think I'd be use to it by now! I'm genuinely expecting a BFN so it kinda feels like I'm going through a formality really. If I'd had a top grade embryo my feelings would be different, I know it could work they wouldn't have put the embryos in at all if there was no hope but can't say I'm feeling optimistic!
Hope everyone else OK this TWW malarkey doesn't get any easier!

huffleclaw · 08/02/2020 15:25

@lilybelle123 you've just got to keep reminding yourself that it only takes one! And having 6 good quality ones is better than 15 that don't go anywhere. On this thread there has been such a mix of eggs, fertilisations and day 3/5 survival that it is impossible to predict!! It's hard to keep positive and I was in an absolute whirlwind of emotion until I have my day 3 update and then it was the same again until the day 5!! It's the part of it I hadn't really expected and anticipated.

@Stace999 I have everything crossed for you!! I hope that you manage to just relax a bit...easier said than done! But it is all out of your control now. (Which is the part of this process that I hate the most!!!)

@Sabz36 ok...my period is so irregular and all over the shop I don't have a clue how long my luteal phase is! All my years of trying to track ovulation etc and I've never quite managed! I have some PCOS symptoms so I probably related to that! Not looking forward to the idea of worse than usual PMS! I might warn my husband so he can move out for a few days!

huffleclaw · 10/02/2020 07:12

Good luck for your transfer today @Parkandride! Do you know what time you are going in?

How is everyone feeling today. My period is starting with a vengeance today...hormones on top of hormones!!

Minster2012 · 10/02/2020 07:21

Good luck for your transfer today @Parkandride hope the embryo gets lovely and snuggly xxx

Parkandride · 10/02/2020 11:41

Thank you guys! I'm right at the end of the day which totally threw me when I got the call, I've got today off - have had accupuncture and done all my tasks, now trying to relax and think positive. Assume I'll get a call about the embryo later to check it's thawed ok, fingers crossed

Hope everyone's ok and survived the storm!

huffleclaw · 11/02/2020 06:52

@Parkandride how did it go yesterday?

Lily999 · 11/02/2020 08:44

Good morning! Waiting for your news @Parkandride and @lilybelle123 I remember you said you will get the next update about your embies today?

How are you @huffleclaw?

I am 8dp5dt, feeling completely normal, no cramps, nothing to report. Have been a superhero for not testing, it is very trying though as I have a sensitive test, think I am just not ready to find out the news.
Booked two trips last night for March to make us feel better if it's a BFN, one is to have a city break in Brussels where we have friends living and another one to Athens for 5days, very much looking forward to both! At least we have something even if it's not a baby.
Also called the clinic yesterday and asked in case it's a BFN what will happen next as we have a good quality frozen Bambino and they said we can transfer that after I had two cycles, so beginning of May. Feels good to have a plan B, hopefully we won't need to put it in motion.

Parkandride · 11/02/2020 09:48

Transfer done! Embryo thawed and expanded well, it was very hatched out. My pgd/pgs normal embryos weren't great gradings so that was reassuring.

Process was very quick, should have gone a bit fuller on the bladder but they managed, everyone really nice. Got the time lapse video of our little embryo developing which is really cool!

Just watched lots of comedies last night, felt a bit of China doll, scared to roll over in bed etc but that's just me being nuts. Now the waiting begins, not really sure when I'll test...

You have been a superhero not testing @lily999 glad you've got some good plans
