@Feline123 I’ve heard pineapple around implantation is good. I’ve read it in lots of places now. Worth a try id say. I’m making a fertility smoothie most mornings which includes maca powder, blueberries, avacado, cashew butter and almond milk

Probably a stupid question... can you wear make up to egg collection? Just the basics 🤣

I was told only 'light makeup' was allowed @Nmvasey. I didn't wear any in the end. One of the nurses checked before I went in!

(That was for cervix procedure but apparently rules are the same as for EC)

Hello ladies, wishing everyone good luck today.

Good morning Ladies, AF finally arrived!! Had a glass of red last night as I felt I had enough of this nonsense and about 20minutes later she showed up lol. I guess the wine must hae helped me relax or something and it was all good again :) Interesting fact about not drinking in 2020 was actually causing me more harm than good (maybe).
Anyhow, called the clinic this morning and I am booked in for a scan for Friday and if all ok (lining is thin and there is no cyst) I start stimms on Friday whoop whoop! Can't believe it is getting so real for me too now. Alway feel a bit left behind, but finaly I might be catching up with you too :)

Ladies who had EC on Monday - how did you feel yesterday? I have a horrible feeling I'm heading towards OHSS and a freeze all, even though they weren't worrying about that too much yesterday 😔 They mentioned that I had a bit of free fluid in my abdomen at EC yesterday (but they said that to everyone in the 6 bed bay - I was totally ear-wigging! 🙉) and to just be aware of the symptoms of OHSS... and then didn't say what they were!! My stomach started getting quite painful and very bloated last night and sadly it's the same this morning (soooo glad I've taken the day off - there's no way I could have gone to work!). I'm still going to drag myself to acupuncture (I'm not in agony, so thought I might as well 🤷‍♀️), but I'll mention it to the clinic when I ring afterwards to find out if any of our eggs have fertilised 🔮

... If this ends up being a freeze all cycle then it's a 4 month wait to do a frozen cycle at our clinic. I'm totally booking Italy for my 40th in 4 months time if that's the bloody case! Glass half full, right?! 🍷

@FlapJackered thanks for the advice! It still stung a bit afterwards but I didn't feel the needle going in or out at all! ☺️

Thanks @Chooklass could't be more excited! Obviously we always find something to worry about, can I ask if you can remember before your scan did you have a heavy period? Mine is quite light now and I am a bit concerned the lining won't be thin because of this. Going for acupuncture tonight so hopefully that will help...
@BambiOnIce80 so sorry you feel poorly, when do you have to call the clinic today?

@Lily999 I was worried about that too! My period seemed normal, maybe lasted longer than usual? I was put on microgynon for 3wks before though.

Yeah, I was glad they didn't ask me to do that as I used to take Microgynon for years in my twenties and hates it, but I guess now there is a bigger risk of my lining being too thick so everything comes with a price...
They will give me the meds on Friday if we start then I will find out which one I will be on (I'll have the pleasure of stabbing myself with Ganirelix for sure, the other one can be 4 types. 1 of them is Bemfola so could be the exact same as you). Must be excited to get so close to EC now! Are you taking sick leave for scans?

@BambiOnIce80 sorry you dont feel good today. I was worried aswell getting OHSS due to the long wait again . I have been doing ok, no more pain from monday.
I hope we all get good news on our embryos.

Heard from the clinic this morning, all five of my little eggs are still going 🎉🎉🎉 It's only Day 2 though and apparently we don't hear anything now until transfer on Saturday. I'm hoping they will check in the meantime and tell us if it all goes tits up between now and then. The next few days cannot go fast enough!

Had my last scan before egg collection on Friday. I don't think there are loads of eggs but hopefully enough. They think I might be at risk of OHSS though so may have to freeze all 😢
Does anyone know if you freeze all how soon after you can do a frozen transfer?

Yep @Chooklass , you can get it after EC because all the oestradiol is released from the follicles that they've punctured to retrieve the eggs (and mine was toppy anyway 😏).

Small update from me - DP was for once the sensible one and got me to phone the clinic and check with them about the solid abdomen/pain (he said he'd tell me off if I walked to acupuncture and back and then the clinic say I should have come in immediately or something 🙄). They said it could be totally normal/not unusual after EC, so take some paracetamol, go for a walk, have the acupuncture and have a cup of tea and take stock of things then... I know we're British and a cup of tea fixes everything , but possible OHSS too?! 🍵 🤔😂 I do feel much improved after the paracetamol though, so fingers crossed I'm just being a drama queen! 🤞🏻

What I wasn't expecting until later in the day was my embie news, but the results are already in!! 😳🤯 4 normal fertilisation by IVF and 4 normal fertilisation by ICSI out of 14... I'm bloody delighted and more than a bit shocked! 🥳🤯🥳🤯 I know those numbers can be slashed over the coming days, but I'll certainly take it for now! 😄

We have flexi hours at work @Lily999 so I've just been going in later and finishing later on scan days. Have just booked annual leave for Mon, Tues and Wed next week (EC should be Mon or Tues). I had days I have to take before end of Jan anyway so that's worked out well. Feel lucky I've managed to juggle work so easily - one less thing to stress about! X

Wow, that is excellent news @BambiOnIce80, well done! I can understand your head went crazy though I am pretty good at letting my imagination go wild haha! When will they give you the next update on the embies? Will you know which ones are developing better (IVF or ICSI fertalised)?
8is plenty and you can relax now knowing there is absolutely nothing wrong with your eggs!
I have never been on acupuncture before, what clothing would you recommend wearing? Have no idea what areas will be uncovered haha!

Well I'm back from transfer, so now comes the dreaded TWW, I taken today off but I actually feel fine so far.

How are you feeling @41trying, when is your official test date? You are now way ahead of us, s oexciting to have the first of us entering the PUPO phase! :)

@Lily999 absolutely fine, no different to a smear. Official test date is 30th, which feels so far away. They gave me a test but if I cant wait I may buy a good one for a day or 2 before.

@41trying I will be the exact same as they give you the test date for a day when regular tests show, I will be convinced a sensitive test will show it sooner haha it's like looking into my future.
Are you off now or working until OTD?
