First thread is filling up fast so I thought I'd get a new one ready so we can keep on supporting each other through this crazy journey! Will post a link in old thread 😊xx

Thanks @Parkandride for digging out your notes and @jcurve for telling me more about your case, it is concerning that fluid might affect egg quality as I thought ok at least they can collect and fertilise the eggs without any impact from the hydrosalpinx. Well, at this stage all we can do is hope for the best I guess. Did they see on the scan that it was leaking?
My surgeon was adamant about me not having hydrosalpinx, I sent him an email and waiting for him to get back to me.

@parkandride when will you know if it's worked?

@rainbow178 how are you feeling? Looking forward to Monday morning (said noone ever :) ), did they tell you the sizes of the smaller ones? I've got 7 that are below 10mm, don't think they can catch up until Monday so will focus on the 8bigger ones probably. Will they keep growing once we give the trigger shot?

@sabz36 how are you after EC? Have you heard from your eggs since?

@Pinkstars2501 when will you find out if transfer is tomorrow or Monday?

@minster2012 hope you are feeling better today.

@Stace999 you are on the same timeline as me and @rainbow178, how many days of stimming are you on now?

Parkandride · 25/01/2020 08:03

Transfer should be around the 10th soo 17th ish I guess, a while to wait! @lily

Pinkstars2501 · 25/01/2020 08:10

@Lily999 Sunday morning! I'm kind of glad it wasn't Friday because my back is agony from collection and the bloat is real....

LBJ2410 · 25/01/2020 08:29

Hi everyone!

Had an update from the clinic yesterday to say of the 9 eggs that fertilised (from 15 collected) only 4 have made it to day 3 (3 X grade 1, 1 X grade 2)

We couldn't help but feel disappointed as the numbers seems to be dropping fast! Really worrying now that they won't make it to day 5 😢

What experiences have people had from day 3 to 5 numbers wise? I guess it's all just luck on a person by person basis. The constant feeling of excitement then disappointment is so awful!!

Hope everyone is feeling okay today 💞 xx

Chooklass · 25/01/2020 08:46

Morning @LBJ2410 ! 4 is still a great number - but I know what you mean. Sometimes it's too easy to focus on all the ones which haven't made it when we should be focusing on what has!

I'm waiting to find out if I need to go for ET today (day 3). They said I should call after 9. Last heard on Thurs we had 5 out of 11 fertilised so really hoping we still have some in the race!! 🤞🤞🤞

@Pinkstars2501 The bloat is unreal isn't it?! I'm supposed to be going out tonight and no idea what trousers I will fit into. I've been living in OH's joggers 😂

Sallyann66 · 25/01/2020 09:00

Is this normal?
My partner goes out for dinner frequently, maybe monthly with an old work colleague, she’s about 15 yrs his senior
He always makes an effort and dressed smartly, normally comes home about midnight totally pissed, and always horny
They message and call frequently
Should I be worried??

LBJ2410 · 25/01/2020 09:20

@Chooklass I know it's so easy to be negative! I can't deal with the rollercoaster.. I knew it wouldn't be easy but it's just so rubbish at times.

Good luck for your call today 🤞🏼 I hope they are all still going strong xx

Chooklass · 25/01/2020 09:29

So the clinic wants me in today for EC - I'm panicking! Does this mean I only have one left? Or they are crap quality? They wouldn't update me on the phone 😫. Day 3 transfers have a lower success rate than Day 5. I'm trying to stay positive but it's hard not knowing because I just imagine the worst then ☹️.

@Sallyann66 I don't think you meant to post that here? (Sounds well dodgy though...)

OP posts:
BambiOnIce80 · 25/01/2020 09:38

I know it's easy to say, but try not to panic @Chooklass ❤️ I know someone who had two 3 day embies put back and she's currently 17 weeks pregnant with a singleton. Thinking of you this morning and hope it's good news at the clinic 🤞🍀🤞🍀

Sallyann66 · 25/01/2020 09:49

Whoops so sorry good luck to you all x

Minster2012 · 25/01/2020 09:52

Thanks for your wishes everyone, still in hospital 😥

@Chooklass we have a thriving active DS who was a day 3 transfer, try not to worry xx

Chooklass · 25/01/2020 10:14

Thanks @BambiOnIce80 and @Minster2012 - those are just the kind of stories I need to hear right now! 😘

I think I'm also worried because my trial transfer failed and they had to do the operation to stretch my cervix ... really hope it hasn't closed up again!!

I hope you feel a lot better soon @Minster2012 xx

OP posts:
Sabz36 · 25/01/2020 10:29

@Lily999 thanks for asking a little tender when getting up but aside from that I am ok. The wait for a phone call is terrible 😶

Rovera12 · 25/01/2020 10:30

@Minster2012 wishing you a speedy recovery .
@Chooklass try to be calm hun and hope for the best .

Chooklass · 25/01/2020 10:31

Good luck @Sabz36 ! Our clinic makes us phone them which I prefer, as it feels like I'm in control (though the line is almost always busy...)

OP posts:
rainbow178 · 25/01/2020 10:32

@Lily999 I'm feeling ok actually, I feel a bit 'detached' from it all to be honest, think it might be a bit of a guard because unfortunately I've had bad news in the past. I'm hoping when EC is confirmed i feel a bit better about it all. How are you be doing today? What have you got planned as a distraction!? I'm waiting for my facial 👍
Follicle wise- there was a 17,14,13 and a few 11's. As she was reading out the numbers I knew they would make me stim a bit longer, for the best!

Don't worry too much about numbers, they say it only takes on healthy embryo!

Sabz36 · 25/01/2020 10:58

Phone call just came in 9 out of 10 fertilised the final one is at a 'intermediate' stage of fertilisation. So two more calls to go.

Lily999 · 25/01/2020 11:30

Wow, @Sabz36 that's wonderful news! May those embryos grow now.

@rainbow178 it sounds like I'm a bit behind now because the biggest ones I have are 4follicles at 13mm. Well, hopefully they'll grow nicely over the weekend :) I do feel movements on and off. I think EC will probably be Thursday then instead of Wednesday to give them more time, we'll know on Monday.
We're heading to the city now have a few chores and haircut appointment then grab some lunch at our favourite place. I think DH is making extra efforts to distract me because it bothers him that I believe I have hydrosalpinx and he keeps telling me I don't have it as I had the surgery 2months ago and the surgeon confirmed there is no sign of liquid ever being there, only outside that doesn't impact fertility so he refused to clip a perfectly healthytube. Now who should I believe? How come the tube was blocked on my HSG then? It makes a huge difference whether it's inside or outside, but we can't tell. Sorry I'm like a dog with a bone, just trying to make some sense out of it.

rainbow178 · 25/01/2020 11:36

@Lily999 that sounds like a nice day, try and enjoy it! They do sound a bit smaller but by scan on Monday they will have had 3 extra doses of stims so fingers crossed!!
It must be so frustrating not knowing and having gone through the surgery that you have, all you can do right now though Is see what they say on Monday, everything else is out of your control- what time are you booked in? I'm 8.30am.

Lily999 · 25/01/2020 11:38

@chooklass I am keeping my fingers crossed for you and the embies, let us know once you know more.

@LBJ2410 having 4going strong on day 3 is great, I know many of us would have been very happy with your numbers, please try and keep positive! I'm not there yet, but if I remember correctly @BambiOnIce80 you had the same number of embies on day 5as you had on day 3 maybe only 1less?

Lily999 · 25/01/2020 11:43

Thanks @rainbow178 I'm going for 9am so roughly the same :) I was a bit emotional this morning, but can't say for sure if it was the meds or just a fear of having to go through another surgery and delaying transfer again. Physically I'm still fine :) hoping the 8follicles (11-13mm) will jump up to 17-20mm and maybe few of the 7smaller ones will go up as well. What is the smallest size they collect that can be mature? Is it 16mm?

Pinkstars2501 · 25/01/2020 11:56

@Chooklass it really is! I've lived in joggers. Trousers when I go back to work next week will be a killer!

@Lily999 my follicles definitely jumped up in size! I had a few small ones but by the time collection came round, they all grew and had eggs in. So it can surprise you.

BambiOnIce80 · 25/01/2020 12:35

Yep, that's right @Lily999 - I had one less on day 5 than on day 3 (well remembered! 😘). One transferred and 5 frosties in the freezer - I'm 6dp5dt today and trying hard not to lose my mind with working out if it's been successful or not! 🤪 Sounds like you've got a lovely day planned 😊 It must be infuriating trying to second guess what's going to happen with this is it/isn't it hydrosalpinx situation and I appreciate it must be almost impossible to turn your brain off, but do try and take a break whilst your out and about today ❤️ The emotional stress is exhausting and it'll do you the world of good to put it to the back of your mind for at least a couple of hours, if you can.x

So sorry to hear you're in hospital @Minster2012 💐 I hope DH is taking good care of you and you start to feel better soon.x

Still sending lots of positivity your way @Chooklass 💓

twinkleyes35 · 25/01/2020 13:19
