First thread is filling up fast so I thought I'd get a new one ready so we can keep on supporting each other through this crazy journey! Will post a link in old thread 😊xx

You're telling yourself the absolute right thing - with a top grade blast you have an excellent chance of success.
We can all relate to the anxiety you're feeling. My only method of survival is distraction. Sending you a big hug. 💕

BambiOnIce80 · 19/01/2020 10:40

Good morning ladies and thanks for all the good lucks 🍀🥰🍀🥰 I'm probably tempting fate here, but we haven't had a phone call from the clinic yet, so I think we might be all systems go at 12pm 🤞🏻🔮

I woke up with The Fear in the middle of the night @Rovera12 and I couldn't even tell you why! 😥 Pure panic, but everything feels alright in the cold light of day 🤷‍♀️ Have you tried any comedy films/TV series to keep you laughing/distracted?x

Good luck for anybody getting day 3 updates today 🍀🍀🍀

Rovera12 · 19/01/2020 10:54

I am trying my best to get distracted and stay focused, get away from DR Google aswell @BambiOnIce80.
Ladies on pasearies should I be worried? It is like the pasearies are coming out melted(sorry TMI) when I go to the loo.

Few minutes ago I went to the loo and I saw a big chunk of melted pasearies, I just hope I am getting enough in my system!!!

Pinkstars2501 · 19/01/2020 11:01

@Rovera12 I think it's meant to come out. Apparently the progesterone is absorbed within 30mins and the waxy stuff comes back out.

I'm a bit confused because I have egg collection on Tuesday but start pessaries on Monday morning....do I still use one Tuesday morning. Just rectally instead? I'll ring the clinic tomorrow of course, just thought if anyone here has had this they could help.

candycornlover · 19/01/2020 12:15

@Minster2012 I'm planning to transfer only one. I had 15 embryos to begin with. I transferred one in 2009 and now have a beautiful nearly 10 DD. So we are taking six out and. keeping the other five in storage incase this cycle doesn't work out.
This is my first medicated FET, 10 years ago I had an all natural cycle and used blood testing to see when the right time was to transfer.
I've felt pretty hellish last few weeks on these meds! Everything has changed so much with IVF protocols now compared to 10 yrs ago. I started to read through my protocol when I first got the info and it seemed a bit overwhelming, so I did the same as you and broke it down and took each bit as it came.

@HJF84 good luck with your pessaries, they really are gross aren't they! I was shocked when nurse told me if I get pregnant, I've to take them until 12 weeks gestation! Never had to do stuff like that last time. Oh well, the things we do to have a baby eh?

@Rovera12 yes don't worry, it's just the waxy she'll coming back out. I've rectal is better way for less mess, but not sure I want to do it lol

Wishing all you ladies luck this week with your appointments. X

candycornlover · 19/01/2020 12:18

@Rovera12 that should read, I've heard rectal is better for less mess lol

Minster2012 · 19/01/2020 12:54

@candycornlover wow that’s great and what a great number of Frosties! How do they keep the others in storage? I’m so intrigued but in a good way that’s great! Ours don’t do do that but we have other ways, we have 4, but ours do thaw one by one on morning of transfer to see progress up to maximum of number 3, with the third being for transfer the day after original date...then if it goes to the 4th then I’d have to do another round of lining prep that one would have to wait. They say if they take 2 out & we only want to transfer one then the other would have to perish 😔 so one by one it is. We were also successful with our first 2 years ago but he was transferred to my best friend as a surrogate not me like this time so I’m very worried.

Hopefully things have moved on for the better!!

HJF84 · 19/01/2020 13:01

@rovera12 Yes a that's what happens to me with the pessaries. Not every pessary, just some of them. I tend to use a pantyliner to make it less gross

@pinkstars2501 what time is your appt? I took my morning one for my 12 noon appt, and I was fine. She said there was residue but that it wasn't an issue.

@candycornlover I know right? Hopefully it will be worth it this time. One of the nurses at the clinic said that most people have problems with the estrogen on medicated cycles, but that hasn't affected me at all. The progesterone makes me so sleepy 💤

Pinkstars2501 · 19/01/2020 13:08

@HJF84 my egg collection is at 10 so be there for 9. I'd probably start the pessaries at either 7 or 8. One every 12 hours.

jcurve · 19/01/2020 14:05

@twinkleyes35 I’m a little ahead of you - egg collection was done on Thursday. Best of luck for tomorrow! ❤️

My clinic will call on Tuesday to let me know how my two fertilised eggs have gone and whether we have anything suitable for freezing. I’ve spent the last few days examining medical studies on long- and short- protocol outcomes for endo patients and there’s some recent very promising research on what’s been termed “modified long protocol” so I will talk to the consultant about it on my follow up visit.

I have to say, I didn’t realise how whack the stimms make you feel. I’m very much grin-and-bear-it, if you don’t think about it then it’s not happening, but now they’ve worked their way out of my system, I feel like I can take on the world!

BambiOnIce80 · 19/01/2020 14:20

Well, we're back from the clinic with one grade 4AA embie on board ☺️ Got an US picture of the little blob sat in my uterus and everything! 😁 Looks like there should be "some" for freezing as well, which is a relief 😪 Will get a final number of frosties tomorrow 🔮

I think I'm going to chill on the sofa and (try! 😣) and keep off the internet, so good luck to those having EC tomorrow 🍀

LBJ2410 · 19/01/2020 14:34

Had my second progress scan this morning, due to take the trigger tonight but had a call from the clinic to say I'm at risk of OHSS and they will have to freeze them all for another cycle.

Has anyone else had this happen? I'm still due for egg collection on Tuesday. Will they still fertilise/grow them and then freeze the embryos for when I am ready? She did explain on the phone but I was too upset to listen! So gutted but they said it would be too dangerous to carry on with this cycle 😢 x

UnicornPuff · 19/01/2020 15:11

@BambiOnIce80 exciting day! Can you see the embryo on the US? I would have thought it would be too small! Can I ask if you are having a day 5 transfer? And if so why they do not freeze them on day 5 but day 6?

Chooklass · 19/01/2020 15:14

I'm sorry @LBJ2410 💐. That must be a shock, but better safe than sorry - OHSS can be pretty serious. Also, I've heard there are slightly better success rates with frozen rather than fresh, so it might work in your favour in the long run. I'm high risk of OHSS too, got day 12 scan and bloods tomorrow to see what's happening 🤞.

I think everything proceeds as normal, except they freeze instead of ET?

Well done @BambiOnIce80 !! Lots of relaxing for you now! If I get as far as TWW I don't know how I'll cope 🙈

@BambiOnIce80 wow such a great news just brought a smile on my face ... good luck and just stay happy ... keeping fingers crossed his bambi sticks 😍 x

Melissa1983 · 19/01/2020 15:19

@twinkleyes35 yes we are buddies as I'm in for my EC tomorrow, how you feeling about it?

@BambiOnIce80 exciting day for you, like you say stay relaxed and off goggle (I don't have the willpower)

Netflix recommendation from me is Grace & Frankie, silly funny comedy and only 30 minutes a episode 😊xxx

Kellyprt1 · 19/01/2020 15:24

@BambiOnIce80 how exciting :) :) so happy for you. Relax now. The hard works done x

twinkleyes35 · 19/01/2020 15:41

@Melissa1983 yay got a buddy x I am actually alright just trying to kill time . Tbh just lying all day have got hello h sore boobs x but trying to sort out the house in car after EC I am tired for couple of days. Just trying to prepare in advance x
What about yourself x

BambiOnIce80 · 19/01/2020 16:17

... This thread doesn't count as 'the internet', right?! 😄

I'll be thinking of you and sending positive vibes for your scan tomorrow @Chooklass 💓 Fingers-crossed you'll be heading for a trigger shot tomorrow night🤞🏻

I'm sorry to hear about the OHSS risk and freeze all @LBJ2410 💐 But like @Chooklass says, the success rates are a bit higher from a FET. Embies survive being defrosted a lot better than unfertilised eggs, so they'll fertilise your eggs and let them get to day 5 or 6 before freezing them (that's what they told me this morning at least 👍).x

We have indeed had a day 5 ET @UnicornPuff and they'll be freezing some of our embies today and possibly a couple of stragglers tomorrow if they catch up 🔮🤞🏻 As for the scan, the embie is too small to see but the carrier fluid that they put it in shows up as a white dot on the US (pic attached! 📸🧐😁). This might be the closest I ever get to being pregnant, so it's kind of nice to have a picture 😊

Oooh, thank you for the Netflix recommendation @Melissa1983 😘 I'm going to give that a go and then rewatch the Iliza specials I think 🤔 Her party goblin sketch creases me up every time 🤣

Very wise to get all your errands sorted out pre-EC @twinkleyes35 👌 I think today is the first day that I've felt normal since EC and I had mine on Tuesday! 🤦‍♀️ I think I'm just being a wuss though - everyone else seems to be fine the day after.x

@BambiOnIce80 awww how pretty love and positive vibes on your way .. I am sure we will be following you soon x ... just excited and tiny but nervous x 🤗🤗

Minster2012 · 19/01/2020 17:39

@BambiOnIce80 that’s great news & fingers crossed for both the high quality embie on board & the others to freeze!

HJF84 · 19/01/2020 18:06

Excellent news @bambionice80 I wish you a sticky embie & a happy & healthy pregnancy

UnicornPuff · 19/01/2020 19:16

Having not drunk since before christmas my husband has suggested I drink a glass of wine tonight to help me relax for ET tomorrow. He has tried to phrase it nicely but I am exceptionally snappy/grumpy. Should I be concerned that this will be his parenting, Rewards for bad behaviour! Grin
Think it is a mixture of the pessaries, nerves (tomorrow is day 5 and we havnt heard since day 2) and I have felt fine after EC but now almost feel like I am getting cramps which normally makes me think AF is on the way. It's making me feel it hasn't worked before we have even transferred!

41trying · 19/01/2020 19:48

Evening ladies, I hope everyone is well.
I am 4dp3dt and feeling normal if I can say that.
Yesterday I had cramping all day and cramping even when I coughed. Thinking it has a lot do to with pessaries, so early on.

Minster2012 · 19/01/2020 20:33

@UnicornPuff don’t be hard on him! Our clinic suggests a calming glass of wine before ET day!!

@41trying cramping could be pessaries or we could think of it as implantation 🤞🏻🤞🏻🥰I read that a 5day embryo is likely to implant on day 2 afterwards so could very well be 🤞🏻🤞🏻
