IVF in Feb/March 2020?

Hello! I'm just wondering whether there are others starting their IVF journey in Feb/March 2020.

I am dealing with secondary infertility (male factor) and we have been TTC#2 for 16 months. We conceived naturally by some miracle back in July, but sadly had an early miscarriage (my third in total). We're now waiting to start ICSI IVF in early February.

Would love to hear from others doing the same. x

@youbgatheart00 I shouldn't get false positive no trigger shot egg donor frozen cycle... Gonna try and hang on till Monday!

Does anyone know how to attach a photo on here?

Good luck everyone

It's been busy in here today!I can't keep up with who's doing what. I'm glad everyone is moving forward with their treatment.

@Youngatheart00 My Facebook has assumed I'm pregnant for the past 2 years of ttc. It's quite shocking really!

I've never tried acupuncture or reflexology. I quite like the sound of reflexology however, the thought of more appointments puts me off. I am avoiding gluten, dairy purely and processed sugar because both books I've read suggest that this may make endo flair up. I'm just playing it safe really. I've been doing this since September but had a break over Christmas. If this cycle fails I'm defo having a 3 course Italian!

First day of downreg for me. The spray tasted disgusting! So much so I had to google others experiences as I thought I'd done something wrong.

@natalie62663 hold out as long as poss. I’ve always waited until 8dp5dt and always got a result using early detection tests (first response) even if a light line it was always there and got darker over the days. It’s definitely too early and will only stress you out as in the high majority of cases the hcg wouldn’t be high enough to be picked up 3 days later x

UncleBrynsfishingtrip · 14/02/2020 17:55

@250515xx
Welcome to the group!! I’ve just been reading through today’s posts.
How are the injections going? Any side effects?

Sending 💗💗💗💗💗love to all of you on Valentines Day xxxx

natalie62663 · 14/02/2020 18:10

@hatawa83 planning to do a clear blue early detection on Monday or Tuesday if I can hang on

Hatawa83 · 14/02/2020 19:10

@natalie62663 crossing everything for you!!!

250515xx · 14/02/2020 19:11

@UncleBrynsfishingtrip Going okay so far 🤞 I don’t think I’ve had any side effects, none that I have noticed in any case. What should I be looking out for?

250515xx · 14/02/2020 19:12

Oh and happy Valentine’s Day to you too! 💕

Hatawa83 · 15/02/2020 09:16

@UncleBrynsfishingtrip for me last time I had almost no side effects but this time...on and off headaches...very sharp pains on one side of my head today... nausea and dizziness and just very tired. It’s tolerable though :)

natalie62663 · 15/02/2020 09:31

OK so this morning I have woken up with nausea and a heavy feeling in my abdomen didn't think I would be have this level of sickness yet any thoughts from anyone?

TMI ALERT I am also still having quite alot of watery discharge and my boobs are a little bigger and sensitive....

Sure my body is playing tricks on me Help!

ValidUser · 15/02/2020 11:42

Consent forms signed! I'm thinking about going with 6 weeks instead of 2 for egg quality purposes (more time to work on it). I'll let you all know on Tuesday!

Hufflepuff1 · 15/02/2020 11:45

@natalie62663 that sounds really positive, sorry are you doing a fet or fresh? And is this ur first time?

natalie62663 · 15/02/2020 11:50

@hufflepuff1 this is round 2 this round is a FET last round was fresh both with egg donor last one got bfp but had a miscarriage at 8 weeks

ValidUser · 15/02/2020 11:53

@natalie62663 I'm hopeful for you. Sorry for your previous loss.

I have 2 close friends who went the egg donor route with great success.

What day has everyone started their stims on?
My doctor wants to tweak things for the final cycle and not start stims until cycle day 4 - has anyone started that late?

(I can't find any information online about what determines when is the best day so start stims)

Youngatheart00 · 15/02/2020 12:01

@itwasalovelydreamwhileitlasted I’ve started on day 2. My previous clinic started on day 7 but I believe that was for scheduling, not intentional. Day 4 sounds reasonable if your clinic has good clinical rationale!

@natalie62663 fingers crossed for you, the symptoms really are a rollercoaster. Try and stay busy if you can!

Youngatheart00 · 15/02/2020 12:12

On day 2 of stims now and already so tired!! Going to use the poor weather as a good excuse for total hibernation this weekend I think!

itwasalovelydreamwhileitlasted · 15/02/2020 12:19

@Youngatheart00
Thanks! Day 7 sounds really late!

On my short protocols last year i started on day 2 and then the natural modified I've done this year it's been day 3 now Dr is saying day 4 🤷‍♀️
I know it's not a scheduling issue as they are open 7 days for collections and transfers

natalie62663 · 15/02/2020 13:14

Hi all

Good luck to those starting baby dust to you all...

Off to the cinema to try and distract myself from the incredible urge to do a test....!

ChatWithMe · 15/02/2020 14:02

Hi ladies. I haven't been on the chat recently as busy and must have accidentally changed my notifications. Tried reading newer posts.

Good luck to Natalie who we hope is having pregnancy symptoms. If it were me I'd wait til Wednesday to do an early response test but fingers crossed if you test Monday.

Sorry to hear about multiple people having a chronic history of miscarriages. I've never gone through that so all I can do is sympathise.

Wow PineappleC!! 25 miles a week! You must run 1 hour per day, 5 days a week. I do about 5 miles per week as I run 1 hour on Saturdays. However this weekend I'm giving it a miss due to an appointment and the weather :-(

My exercise/diet regime is: 20 minutes stretching and toning 6 days a week after lunch plus 1 hour run on Saturdays listening to pop music or piano. I'm taking Q10 and multivitamin most days plus twice weekly super dose or vitamin D. No DHEA as doctor advised against and no melatonin (as someone had asked about this) but I imagine it does make you sleepy! Eating like 8+ types of fruit/veg a day most likely (but that's easy as a vegan.)

No stims until last week in March so feeling bored waiting! Good luck everyone :-)

ValidUser · 15/02/2020 14:36

@ChatWithMe I'm likely late March for stims too!

PineappleC · 15/02/2020 14:48

@ChatWithMe Yes normally one 6-7m, one 9-10m, and then 3 x 5ks per week when I'm not racing (much more in racing season!). It doesn't take me too much time but I'm really missing it at the moment, as walking just isn't really the same! I hope the weather gets better so you can get out there a bit before your stims 😊

ValidUser · 15/02/2020 14:52

More good news from yesterday - I was advised to take sick leave from stims to embryo transfer. I'm ok to keep running moderately, as I was doing so during my tracking cycles and still responded well to gonal f.

DH having DNA fragmentation done today to confirm our plan for ICSI and in for my planning visit on Tuesday!

ValidUser · 15/02/2020 14:53

(Sorry, last post was misleading. I can run until stims, but that'll likely be 6 weeks)

ChatWithMe · 15/02/2020 15:02

ValidUser we can be stimming buddies ;-) please tell us outcome of DNA fragmentation test as hubby and I discussed this possibility.

Thanks Pineapple C :-)
