Anyone had any luck with small number of eggs from retrieval ?!

@Lrv1987 @GreyC How's is going? Sunday can't come soon enough for me, just need to know one way or the other. All symptoms gone and have had some very light spotting last 2 days (barely anything) so hoping that's not a bad sign. Hope you're both coping ok with the 2ww wait. x

@FizzyC - all okay here- can't wait for Sunday - I haven't had much in the way of symptoms- still convinced it hasn't worked 🙈

@Lrv1987 can't believe I'm managed to not test! Haven't even opened the box. I'm feeling fine really apart from worrying. Still feel like AF is on its way but other symptoms have disappeared. The last couple of days have been the hardest because Sunday is getting close.

Had dull cramping all day Not like period cramps but just something there and throbbing and now have back ache lower down. My boobs are all veiny too. However; the progesterone is doing some very odd things to my body so I’m guessing these are just symptoms of that it is. Just taking each day as it comes and hoping the symptoms are a good thing!! I don’t test for a good while yet. I’m only 3days in!!

So I've started bleeding tonight, think it's all over for me this time. Will still test tomorrow just to be sure but definitely seems like AF is here 😢

I have heard of 1 egg retrieval & baby result & close person had 2 eggs & 1 baby both first round successes - It only takes one good one!

Oh well I tested last night and this morning - BFN both times 😢. Bleeding has also continued so it's on to round 2 for us. We're very lucky to get another round on the NHS and if that fails we'll do donor eggs. Going to see some wedding venues today to cheer us up and will be having some proper tea this morning and a glass of wine tonight. I'm crossing everything that it's a better result for you ladies. xx

@FizzyC I'm so sorry. I hope you're okay. Enjoy the wedding venues - and the wine- you bloody deserve it. Look after yourself

I’m 4 days post transfer and almost caved today. Gave myself a talking to.
Is transfer day day 0? Or day 1?

I had IVF ( ICSI ) due to male fertility (really low/poor sperm)

my first cycle last year resulted in 5 eggs only 1 fertilised.. transferred that one 3days after and it was successful but we miscarriaged at 10 weeks.. no eggs left so had to start another cycle 2month after my miscarriage and it cost £5000 we got the same outcome at egg collection only 5 eggs retrieved and only 1 fertilised.. so we transferred it again 3 days after and ive just got my baby girl 🥰 she’s 10 week old... born July 2019... don’t give up..

@FizzyC we've been so very lucky- it worked for us- we had a positive result this morning.
Keep going and stay positive (appreciate easier said than done)

Congratulations. We had 5 eggs retrieved, first time ivf and now have a 6 year old.

This sounds daft but I'm scared to stop the pessaries incase it's just a late BFP. I've felt so sick and dizzy all weekend. Had a tiny bleed on Fri but nothing since. Could it be late implantation or just clutching at straws! Hope you're all doing fine.
@Lrv1987 I guess for you a whole new type of anxiety will have set in. When is your scan?

@FizzyC - have you taken another test? Just in case? Might put your mind at rest ?
Have a scan booked in on 20th and the anxiety is terrible 😐. Just hoping for a heartbeat when we go and I'll feel better.

My clinic told me not to stop pessaries even if it was negative until they told me to - maybe give your clinic a call and see what they say? Hope you're okaynxxx

@Lrv1987 unfortunately AF came yesterday so I'm definitely out this time. Should get an appointment in 6-8 weeks to discuss next cycle - will have to time it so I'm not waddling down the isle next Sept 🤣. Let us know how your scan goes. Everything crossed for you. xx

Hey @FizzyC ! How are you doing? Wedding planning coming along?
All okay here's a had an early scan- and there was a heartbeat which was relieving! Just wanting to get to 12 weeks now - will feel a little safer then.
How are you feeling about everything? Have you been in touch with your clinic? Xxx

@Lrv1987 phew so glad your early scan went well, I've been thinking about you. Wedding planning is going well thanks. Have an appointment with the Consultant tomorrow so will let you know what the plan is. How may weeks until your 12 week scan?

Apt was a bit confusing but essentially we have 2 options:

1. Go straight on the waiting list for donor eggs. Waiting list is currently 15 months but they hope this will get shorter. Success rates with donor eggs would be 40% or more.

1. Try again with my own eggs. Cycle would start end January so we wouldn’t know outcome till end Feb and if it didn’t work we would then go on the 15 month waiting list for donor eggs. Success rate with my own eggs is less than 10%.

So we’re thinking we don’t want to waste 5 months on something that probably wouldn’t work, when we could get on the list now. Oh and I'll be 40 in 15 months.

Any thoughts? 🤪

Are you getting these on NHS? Hope you are- if not have you thought about going abroad? Success rates higher and it is cheaper. We went to Czech Republic
