5 eggs retrieved from 20 something follicles I was in my mid twenties so devastated by such a small number eggs. on transfer day 2 embryos replaced one went for research the other two never fertilised or divided

I have 15 year old twins upstairs ignoring me I still remember the horrible disappointment at so few eggs However it really is about quality

Lrv1987 · 27/09/2019 20:38

@Bessiebigpants - I felt that disappointment too/ I'm glad you got your twins though! How lovely! 🥰🥰🥰

@FizzyC I went back to work too- like you, just wanted something to focus on! My boobs are sore from the progesterone too I think and my urine is neon yellow 🙈 think that's the pregnacare though xx

@GreyC I only have 5 antral follicles so knew I wouldn't get much eggs. I also have AMH. We're very lucky where we live to get 3 cycles on the NHS. Consultant has also spoken about donor eggs. I'm 38. What protocol were you on?

FizzyC · 27/09/2019 20:50

@Bessiebigpants that's a lovely story and so great that you got a happy ending. My clinic don't do double embryo transfers unless you are over 40.

FizzyC · 27/09/2019 20:52

@Lrv1987 have you told people at work about your IVF? Only my boss knows and he's been really supportive.

Lrv1987 · 27/09/2019 20:56

@FizzyC yeah most people know- I'm not very good at keeping secrets 🙈
Everyone has been super supportive and lovely which has been really nice- and I'm really close with most of my colleagues which is nice xx

@FizzyC long protocol- my right ovary ignored all stims so it was just my left that had 5; 4 mature eggs and 2 fertilised with ICSI. MFI so hoping they both have made it. Ringing me tomorrow which is day 4

7Magpies · 29/09/2019 18:58

Hi ladies. Jumping on this thread as my first scan today showing low follicle numbers... total 3 of an OK size and 2 small.
@Lrc1987 Keeping everything crossed for you for a BFP xx
I keep repeating quality over quantity to myself 🤞🏻🤞🏻 xx

FizzyC · 29/09/2019 19:19

@7Magpies I had exactly the same. 3 good size follicles and 2 smaller ones. Got 3 eggs, all 3 fertilised, had a 3day transfer and the other 2 didn't make it to freeze. I found the wait between scans quite stressful as I was a slow responder. I was on an ultra short protocol so they basically threw everything at it. When do you think your e/c will be?

FizzyC · 29/09/2019 19:20

@GreyC good luck for tomorrow, it's so hard waiting for phone calls. Fingers crossed it will be good news. x

Wiltshirelass2019 · 29/09/2019 19:22

I got 4, 2 made it, currently 39 weeks pregnant with one on ice. It’s quality not quantity that’s important. My best mate has has two rounds collecting 20 plus eggs in each and unfortunately is yet to be pregnant xxx

7Magpies · 29/09/2019 19:29

@FizzyC Yeah we're the same then. I reckon they'll leave it until this coming Thurs/Fri for ec. I thought they might have called today to up my dose but they haven't (I'm on 300 Menopur).
Congratulations on your engagement too! That's a lovely bit of excitement amidst the craziness 💞
I hope the tww isn't sending you under xxx

7Magpies · 29/09/2019 19:31

@Wiltshirelass2019 That gives me hope, thanks for sharing and congrats on your pregnancy! Not long to go now. Do you know what you're having? Xx

Lrv1987 · 29/09/2019 19:55

Thanks @7Magpies ☺️

Definitely thinking quality ladies- I've for everything crossed for us all 😘
This time next week my wait will be over, I've discovered Mrs Hinch which has worked as a great distraction- and my bedroom looks great 👍 XX

7Magpies thank you, I’m having a girl. I feel very luckily. Infertility is so so hard. Lots of love to you all going through this 💕

FizzyC · 01/10/2019 19:16

How is everyone getting on? This week seems to be going so much slower than last week 😫

7Magpies · 01/10/2019 19:45

@FizzyC Good thanks lovely. I had 2nd scan today and I'm triggering tonight. They added a couple more injections tonight for good measure 😂 Still on 3 follicles - 17mm, 20mm and about 22mm I think. E/C on Thursday x
How are you feeling? Xx

Lrv1987 · 01/10/2019 19:47

@FizzyC - it's like time has stood still .... having to stop myself from taking an early test. 🙈
I find cleaning has been a helpful distraction- my house has never been so clean 😂
@7Magpies - good lucky with your retrieval!! XX

SewMuchForThat · 01/10/2019 19:51

Oh. I have everything crossed for you!

7Magpies · 01/10/2019 19:53

@Lrv1987 It's so exciting and nerve wracking. Do you think you will test early at home? Xx

FizzyC · 01/10/2019 19:54

@Lrv1987 are you having any symptoms? I just feel like AF is going to arrive any moment. I bought some tests and it's been so hard not to use them 🙈. I've had 2 early miscarriages / chemical pregnancies before so I'm determined to wait it out till Sunday. Going to stock the fridge with champagne and nice wine so at least if it's negative we can celebrate our engagement and start planning for round 2.

GreyC · 01/10/2019 19:57

Had my transfer today. Can’t believe my little blast is in there. Had acupuncture straight after so that was lovely. I hope it knows how loved and wanted it is so it does what it’s suppose to do and get comfy 🤞🙏💕

Lrv1987 · 01/10/2019 20:11

@FizzyC my boobs are sore , and I've had some cramps too - and super tired - but that could be the progesterone.
Sunday can't come soon enough!
I hope you don't get to drink your champagne- in the nicest possible way - hopefully it's positive for you- keeping everything crossed xx

@GreyC - amazing!!!! Welcome to the 2ww! So pleased for you - I felt like I loved my embryo already in transfer day xx

OP posts:
GreyC · 01/10/2019 20:56

I know; I love it already. My uterus lining was perfect so I’m hoping it’s comfy in there.
