@Goingbacktokansascity ahhh okay! Well as u said go for the day 28 bloods and see what level they come out as. Fingers crossed for u!

DobbieFreeElf · 22/10/2019 14:40

My progesterone test had "Above high reference limit >25 nmol/L post ovulation" don't know if that helps or further adds to the confusion!

I'm so irritable but probably for no other reason than my car (only 6 years old with 40k on the clock) broke down on Thursday and the garage have called to say the last one that had this issue cost the owner £4,700 in repairs... bye bye money SadAngry

Goingbacktokansascity · 22/10/2019 14:47

@dobbie Ohhh fuck that’s just what you need

DobbieFreeElf · 22/10/2019 15:04

@Goingbacktokansascity scrap that they've just upped it to £7k

DobbieFreeElf · 22/10/2019 16:15

On top of that I've just found some brown spotting in my knickers... where's the wine???

Goingbacktokansascity · 22/10/2019 16:40

@dobbie nah it’s implantation I’m sure of it. Optimism.

Goingbacktokansascity · 22/10/2019 16:41

You’ll finally be pregnant and not able to afford another one because of the car 😂

CharlotteCx · 22/10/2019 17:10

@DobbieFreeElf when was you due on? Hopefully it is implantation x

seven201 · 22/10/2019 17:39

@Goingbacktokansascity how annoying that you've got that inconclusive result. Sounds like it's ok though 🤞. The research about bitches and ovulation made me lol.

@DobbieFreeElf what cd are you? Hopefully it's not aunt flo

seven201 · 22/10/2019 17:40

@DobbieFreeElf that is an expensive car problem Shock

DobbieFreeElf · 22/10/2019 17:52

I know 😫 I'm so sad and pissed off right now... mostly about the car!

@Goingbacktokansascity I love your optimism, unfortunately this is how my period starts every month, 2-3 days spotting from around cd24. Every month I google "implantation bleeding" or "spotting cd24", I'm sure I've read all 68,000,000 google results, and every month AF shows up soon after. Boohoo

@CharlotteCx cd23, my peak this month was cd14, which is early for me as it's normally cd16 or 17. Spotting usually starts cd 24 or 25 so looks like everything is earlier this month. Never mind Sad

CharlotteCx · 22/10/2019 18:16

@DobbieFreeElf 😟 here's to hoping for better luck next month x are you taking Clomid next month?

CharlotteCx · 22/10/2019 20:15

Just took my 1st tablet for the 2nd cycle 🤞🏻. My dr has given me all the 5 months worth in one go this time, but also chucked in another months worth!

DobbieFreeElf · 23/10/2019 08:13

Cd24 AF arrives... so it's obvious the clomid has done nothing to lengthen my luteal phase. I ovulated earlier but then my period started earlier too. Really wish I'd got progesterone blood test. I don't know why our consultant never suggested to try progesterone pessaries. But I think I'll need to understand this before we start ivf as my period starts so early. Feeling sad. And the car is still broken Sad

Goingbacktokansascity · 23/10/2019 09:50

@dobbie sorry ☹️ I’d definitely investigate progesterone pessaries and letrozole too

BinkyB4 · 23/10/2019 13:45

@DobbieFreeElf I’ve not been on here for a bit but I have been exactly the same for the last.....I don’t even know how long.....18months, probably more and for my last two cycles of clomid I have been given progesterone pessaries which has lengthened my cycle to 28 days...... and this morning I got my BFP.
I’m nervous as hell with my history, but I’m absolutely convinced the pessaries have played a massive part.
Nothing to lose taking them. Xx

Goingbacktokansascity · 23/10/2019 14:17

@binkyb4 oh congratulations!!! Fingers crossed this is the start of something wonderful

DobbieFreeElf · 23/10/2019 14:42

@BinkyB4 Whoop, how exciting, congratulations!

Do you think the GP would prescribe? our consultant has washed his hands of me/ us, last visit he sent me off with 3 months clomid and a price list for his private IVF clinic.

OH has agreed today to have initial consultation at the IVF clinic next month (before we head to Australia for a month) that way we can have our plan laid out for as soon as we get back in January (rather than waiting til we get back to have our initial consultation). If we by some crazy miracle fall in the month we're away we've only lost the cost of the consultation. (Compared to the cost of the mounting mechanic's bill at the moment it's peanuts! I'd laugh if I didn't want to cry about it all!)

BinkyB4 · 23/10/2019 14:53

@DobbieFreeElf it’s definitely worth a trip to the GP to ask the question and if they can’t help the are there any other local fertility clinics that might be able to help?
My periods were EXACTLY as you described and I had bloods taken which showed my progesterone levels as 22.1 I think on day 21.....my GP said I hadn’t ovulated, but I saw another doctor at my clinic who said I had, but my levels were dropping too quickly after ovulation and she prescribed the pessaries.

I had booked an appointment for the beginning of this month at another clinic as wasn’t happy with the service we were getting, even though we are private, but cancelled it as it was going to be about a month before I could have all my notes/test results etc and was going to make it for the next few weeks......I’m really crossing my fingers that I don’t need to make that appointment.

Thank you both for your congratulations.....it doesn’t even seem real after everything we have been through. Xx

Goingbacktokansascity · 23/10/2019 15:40

I’ve just had a phone consultation with my consultant who said a level of 16 means I’ve ovulated and that progesterone levels in one day can vary 8 fold, and as long as there’s a rise above baseline you ovulated so I’m more content now!

Helena112 · 23/10/2019 17:02

@DobbieFreeElf sorry to hear about your car :( but the progesterone pessaries sounds very positive ! I'd 100% ask the GP !

@Goingbacktokansascity I'm glad you managed to track down your blood test! It's all so confusing Confused

So my day 21 blood test was never found - I rang all 3 local hospitals no record of it al all Angry

DPO12 today and I decided to take a test, with very little hope - but it's a very strong BFP!! Clomid does work after all!! I'm so shocked!! I really didn't expect this at all this month, thought I'd messed it all up by taking the Clomid without AF! But clearly it doesn't matter what days you take the tablets!

I pray this pregnancy sticks !! I hope my result is one of many BFP on this thread over the next few weeks !! xxx
