Messy sex 😂😂😂 I’m gonna get a scan tomorrow just to have a wee look see what’s happening 💰 down the drain really but I’m impatient

Chichz · 11/10/2019 17:23

@DobbieFreeElf sorry for late reply. Teacher bedtimes! Grin

I have definitely been thinking about that - especially now knowing that we need to go for IVF, it's something we need to discuss again. I do always like to have 'something else' in mind, if that makes sense. Helps me relax about stuff and feel more in control, though DH is the opposite and is very much "It'll be fine!".

I would love to adopt, but think we'd wait a bit longer to do that - no need to rush if the biological clock isn't ticking anyway! Haha. X

Chichz · 11/10/2019 17:28

@Smile08 Hi! I'm also a fairly newbie but a big welcome Smile

I think the doctors tend to hold back on putting you on the IVF list if they think that Clomid is going to work, so I'd definitely take it as a good thing.

I suppose you could ask though? I think you said you were quite young? In which case you don't need to worry so much about having to wait afterwards, though of course it just adds to our already long journey.

I'm sorry you don't feel you can share this with family. X

Got my first ever peek ovulation result this morning 💖 !! Very happy, 7 days after my last clomid tablet.

I seem to be having strong period type cramps this evening, anyone else had bad ovulation pain? It hurts when I move or even when I sit down! xxx

CharlotteCx · 11/10/2019 20:12

@Helena112 I had this exact thing .. last weekend my body had a LH surge and gave such strong positives... but didn't ovulate my body is now gearing up to ovulate again as Iv got a flashing smiley on CB opk..... but boy my ovary area was so so tender I couldn't even bend over or bend down last weekend

Helena112 · 11/10/2019 20:25

@CharlotteCx how do you know you didn't ovulate? I didn't think it was possible to have 2 strong LH surges in one cycle ?! Have you had a day 21 blood test ? xx

CharlotteCx · 11/10/2019 21:02

@Helena112 I know because I am temping every morning with a thermometer & putting it in a chart. My temp dipped like its meant to before ovulation & then spiked again, like it's meant to but to confirm ovulation you need 3 days after the rise in temp to stay high.. mine dropped again .. and then today I done another OPK and got a flashing smiley.. but around this time is when I'd normally ovulate in a natural cycle cos I have a 33/36 day cycle so I always ovulate later .. and my body tried to ovulate on CD14! I did think it was weird .... I have got my cd21 bloods Monday and then Iv got cd28 bloods too cause I think cd21 is the day I'm meant to ovulate so I'll go to the cd28 ! It's all really mind boggling I know! Do you temp?

Chichz · 11/10/2019 21:05

How exciting ladies! X

DobbieFreeElf · 11/10/2019 21:21

I’m out drinking wine! Will read and reply in the morning... afternoon... yet to see how drunk I can get!!! Grin

Helena112 · 11/10/2019 21:24

@DobbieFreeElf enjoy!!

@CharlotteCx no I don't temp, I've just been using the clear blue fertility monitor. Currently sat watching tv with a hot water bottle on my tummy! I feel like a teenager with bad period cramps! Hope you reach your peek soon, frustrating that you got so close last weekend xx

Smile08 · 11/10/2019 21:51

@Chichz Thanks for being so welcoming!

I will ask at my next appointment. They were pushing for IVF straightaway but I really wanted to at least try it naturally. I'm 26 but the journey itself has been long enough so far, not sure how much more I can take. If I can at least get on the list I'd be moving forward in some way.

:)

CharlotteCx · 11/10/2019 23:11

@Helena112 ahh okay! I never used to temp either but I've found it really useful after getting to grips with it as opks only tell you that you are going to ovulate where as when you temp it tells you that you actually have ovulated .. most accurate way of tracking ovulation I would say! If I didn't temp I'd of thought that I ovulated last weekend coz of my peak opk ! It's only that my temp dropped again that I knew I didn't so I done another OPK and to my surprise it started flashing again!

I know is so annoying that my body went to do it but failed! Annoying tho cos OH is working away tonight so can't bd .. hoping it keeps flashing until atleast tomorrow afternoon as he is back tomorrow evening lol x

AussieJoc · 12/10/2019 08:24

Can I join in? Just through the 3rd IUI cycle with no sucess. Ready to ovulate and my Darling man is sick and incapable of sex . Arrrggghhh so frustrated

CharlotteCx · 12/10/2019 09:03

@AussieJoc oh that is so frustrating 😩😩😩😩

Chichz · 12/10/2019 11:41

@DobbieFreeElf I am looking forward to hearing about how you're feeling! Grin

@CharlotteCx It sounds like you've definitely had a positive ovulation this cycle which is a great start! I've seen some of your previous posts and admired your tenacity - I'm not sure I'm going to be able to keep quite so close a record without driving myself insane...

@AussieJoc That does suck - my hubby has been ill all week with a worse version (or so he thinks!) of what I've had. It's always at the worst times isn't it!

Xx

CharlotteCx · 12/10/2019 11:59

Well so I thought! But I'm so glad have started temping as if I was just doing opks I would of thought I ovulated last weekend & would have completely missed it! ... so now it's back to the drawing board & BD'ing every other day. I couldn't do it lastnight as OH got called out to work last minute 😣 .. but I done a opk this morning and still a flashing smiley so there's still time to fit it in. It's driving me insane tbh, just want that positive pg test like of course all of us do! If you are using opks I'd advise you to temp too! Especially if you have pcos. Are you on Clomid? X @Chichz

Chichz · 12/10/2019 12:21

@CharlotteCx I am going to be taking it once I get my 'period' (got Provera). It's just whilst we wait for an IVF consultation, as we're unlikely to conceive due to issues beyond my PCOS. Would love to have a few regular cycles and a positve OPK in the meantime! I've got a big pack of cheap ones to start using, and a BBT from when I tried to chart myself a few months back - unsurprisingly it was completely random! When will you be doing the all important test? Fingers crossed for you! X

CharlotteCx · 12/10/2019 12:39

@Chichz ohhh okay, sorry to hear that hun. Will you be going private for IVF or NHS? My gyno who I had before this one that gave me clomid wanted to put me forward straight for ivf I said woahh hold on a minute - I just struggle to ovulate sometimes let's not jump straight into the deep end! Scared the life out of me. I'm happy that the Clomid is doing something.. I do feel like I'll ovulate this time round. I keep telling myself it's only the first round, I still have 5 more to go if this one doesn't work!

What do you mean by the important test? Pregnancy test? If you mean that I'm meant to be ovulating on Monday cd21. I have a longer natural cycle so Iv always ovulated later.

I do recommend temping & using opks! X

CharlotteCx · 12/10/2019 12:40

@Chichz so I'd do a pregnancy test 2 weeks from Monday! X

Chichz · 12/10/2019 14:10

@CharlotteCx Yes that's what I meant, sorry. Well everything crossed for you!

I had expected to have a proper go at Clomid first but tubes are partially blocked and DH's sperm ain't great! Well done for pushing it though. I really don't think PCOS is understood even by gyne specialists. Someone told me you need an endocrinologist for long-term management.

Yeah NHS to begin with. We get 2 rounds where we live. X

CharlotteCx · 12/10/2019 14:46

@Chichz Thank you!! 💖🤞🏻

Ahhh okay, that's a shame. I have heard a load of success stories with Clomid & pcos but I know that Clomid will only really work for you if your only problem is the ovulation part.

What was DH sperm count can you remember? My OH his sperm count was 30 million, can't remember mortility but they said that it's fine the only thing a bit under was morphology at 3% and they like it to be 4% considered 'normal range' but she just sent him home with a list of vitamins to buy coq10, selenium, garlic, folic acid, omega 3, vitamins c & e... he done another sample two weeks ago for the 3 month check up but they sent his sample to the wrong place !!! So now he's got to do another when he gets the time to 🙄. But his urologist said that she isn't concerned about his sperm at all.

that's excellent that you get 2 rounds where you are. I have a friend with PCOS, she is in her early 30s, her partner is in his 20s and they had been trying for years. She tried Clomid and unfortunately it didn't work - her partner didn't have great sperm. But she had her first round of IVF and now has a beautiful baby girl that was born July just gone, so there's hope! 💖

CharlotteCx · 12/10/2019 14:50

@Chichz I also have another friend who had 1 baby without any trying then years later wanted another but really struggled as she wasn't ovulating.. on her 5th round of Clomid at 150mg she fell pregnant and her OH had really low sperm count mortility and morph. They now have a baby girl! X

Chichz · 12/10/2019 14:59

@CharlotteCx Thanks for your positivity Grin I'm actually feeling pretty good about it now. I am nearly 32 so do have a bit longer but they're cutting NHS IVF all the time, so I think this is for the best.

It was the number of his swimmers! My mum said, "Oooh is he during blanks?" Lolol not quite, but it could be improved. And I think the morphology one too... I'm sure they will retest everything at the IVF clinic. We have also both increased exercise and improved our diet since then, so will be interesting to see results. X

Chichz · 12/10/2019 15:00

*firing! My autocorrect is driving me insane at the moment.

CharlotteCx · 12/10/2019 15:06

@Chichz I think we all need a bit of positivity in this journey, it helps me along the way.

Haha, mums are brutal! Good thing with sperm is even if one test results is bad, 3 months later they can be completely different. Sperm fluctuate all the time! My partner still smokes, he has done since he was 15. I think the vitamins would have done him good though. He is going to take them until I get pregnant.

Yes I know NHS are cutting them all the time. Do you have any idea of when your going to be doing your first round. Ah okay my friend is 32 also so same age as you 😊 ... x
