@seven201 oh yes q10, I heard that a while ago and forgot, to be honest I’ve spent a fortune over the last 2 years on opks, Accupuncture, vitamins, pregnancy tests, what’s a few more quid!

@doomkittycleo it’s such a pain isn’t it! And if the child gets sick it’s not them who worries about taking time off/ finding someone to look after them, they must think that just all happens by magic!

Sounds rotten, and so good that you noticed the dosage wasn’t right! I hope she clears up soon! My niece gets it regularly and I’m always super cautious about DS catching it, it really is so contagious isn’t it! If she has had a full whack of antibiotics maybe give her a probiotic yoghurt drink (if she’ll have them) for a couple of weeks as those antibiotics kill all the good bacteria too!

@CharlotteCx yet another friend gave birth on Friday, I remember thinking when she told me she was pregnant that there would be no way I wouldn’t be by the time he arrived, yet, lo and behold, still not pregnant...

CharlotteCx · 08/10/2019 21:31

@DobbieFreeElf I know exactly how you feel. Most of my friends are on their second now and here I am still waiting for my first 🤷🏻‍♀️. I hate PCOS!!!! Do you pcos? What is your journey?x

seven201 · 08/10/2019 21:35

Bloody pregnant people who aren't us and people with babies!! I've got a friend who wasn't in any rush to try for dc2 but I convinced her to hurry up in case it took her ages like me. She's just started her mat leave and I'm still not pregnant!

@DobbieFreeElf absolutely! What's one more supplement in the grand scheme of things. If you do buy it you need the expensive ubiquinol version, not just the coq10 version.

@doomkittycleo gosh that's scary that you were given the wrong dose! Hope your dd gets better soon.

CharlotteCx · 09/10/2019 07:30

So these are my two charts - that massive dip yesterday looks like ovulation! Weird cos I got my peak opk Saturday. It's spiked right up this morning! What do you's think?

As I think others have said before, there really is no way to know that you have definitely ovulated. The OPK and temp indicate that you did (and a progesterone blood test would also be an indicator) but even a doctor won't be able to say for sure. Unless you have regular internal scans no one will.

All any of us, and the docs, can say is DTD every other day, or as much as possible, and maybe one little swimmer will make it. But really ovulating is only the first step, "buying the lottery ticket" so to speak, it doesn't mean you will definitely win.

CharlotteCx · 09/10/2019 12:44

@DobbieFreeElf I know ovulating is the first step but because I have PCOS and haven't ovulated for a while now seeing positive opks and seeing that chart dip then rise is making me feel like there is a light at the end of the tunnel now. The Clomid is doing what it's meant to, which makes me happy.

This chat is to share all of our charts, opks, positive & neg pg tests. BBT is one of the most accurate ways to tell that you have ovulated. Especially if your doing it with opks.

CharlotteCx · 09/10/2019 12:45

@DobbieFreeElf yes I have a cd21 blood test next Monday so that will tell me a definite answer.

CharlotteCx · 09/10/2019 12:47

@DobbieFreeElf I just wanted peoples opinion on that chart because I am new to temping so people that have been doing it longer than me maybe could of told me that the chart looks like I've ov'd or not. 😊

Wow this cycle seems to be dragging. CD 9 and still on my period 💤 definitely messed up with the medications. Anyone else loving the autumn 🍂 weather though? Definitely my favourite season!

Chichz · 09/10/2019 15:21

Just waiting for my Clomid prescription to be ready! Managed to wangle 4 months' supply from the specialist, though it is unlikely to get us pregnant due to other issues beyond PCOS - we need to hand our forms in for IVF referral asap.

My question is, is it fine to carry on taking myo-inositol / Inofolic alongside Clomid? I can't see why not, but just wanted to check. My main reason for taking it at this point is cycle regulation.

Thanks ladies. X

seven201 · 09/10/2019 15:59

@Goingbacktokansascity sorry it's dragging. So annoying!

@Chichz I haven't stopped taking myo-insotol when on metformin. I think it's probably fine on clomid too but I'm no expert!

DobbieFreeElf · 09/10/2019 16:27

Me to @Goingbacktokansascity, even my DH asked me if I’m ovulating yet!! Normally it’s a sigh and side-eye when I mention it!! Cd11 for me Hmm Autumn is my favourite!

Well done @Chichz! I managed to not pay for my prescription when I picked it up from the hospital, only realised once I got home that they didn’t take payment before or after... whoops Confused no experience with the other meds though, sorry

Chichz · 09/10/2019 17:00

@seven201 and @DobbieFreeElf thanks! I'm sure it is fine. Should have asked when I was there but I only asked for Provera to bring on a bleed, so was very pleasantly surprised to have Clomid on there too! Just 50mg but hopefully that'll be enough to get some cycles going.

@Goingbacktokansascity I have always said Autumn is my favourite season - everyone thinks I'm mad Grin x

ckc45d10 · 09/10/2019 18:54

Yes, ubiquinol (or CoQ10) is supportive for both fertility an PCOS. Ubiquinol is the reduced, active form for those asking, and some believe you may be able to take a lower dosage of this form for the same effectiveness. However, check with your doctor. And, one other thing to note is that water and fat-soluble forms absorb better.

Helena112 · 09/10/2019 18:59

@Chichz I still take my myo inositol and preconception vitamins with clomid, I asked my doctor and they said it was fine :)

@DobbieFreeElf I'm on cycle day 12 so we are very close! I've been using the clear blue monitor no ovulation as of yet, but have had a reading of high since Friday Confused not sure I'll ovulate this month!

How many days after the last clomid tablet does everyone usually ovulate?! xx

DobbieFreeElf · 09/10/2019 19:07

@Helena112 I usually get a peak somewhen between day 15 and 18, and I usually have 4ish days of high before peaking. I normally don’t start until day 11 as i know I’m a late ovulator (that’s not a word but I’m using it!!) although I did start earlier this month after the mix up taking my clomid tablets, not sure if it might bring ovulation forward as I started early.

@ckc45d10 sounds like you know your stuff! Not sure if you’re uk based but if you are would you mind putting a link to one you would recommend please? X

seven201 · 09/10/2019 19:42

@ckc45d10 ah thanks! I've ordered the pharma nord ubiquinol one and was thinking of taking 300mg a day but from what you say maybe I don't need that much? That would be good as it's expensive! I'm going to read the supplement section of it starts with the egg tonight, the answer's probably in there!

Chichz · 09/10/2019 21:05

Thanks for the advice ladies! X

Marmite83 · 10/10/2019 13:21

@Chichz my consultant told me to start taking Inofolic when he prescribed me Clomid so it should definitely be fine. I was also told it was fine to keep taking it while doing IVF.

Goingbacktokansascity · 10/10/2019 13:39

OPK positive today 🙄

Goingbacktokansascity · 10/10/2019 13:41

CD10 and my period is still going so I imagine I’m out this cycle 😂

DobbieFreeElf · 10/10/2019 14:10

@goingbacktokansascity positive opk and period?! Wtf?!

Cd11: low (I looked back and last month my high started day 12)

Goingbacktokansascity · 10/10/2019 16:27

@DobbieFreeElf I know! I’ve fucked up majorly by starting too early this cycle 😂 although funny enough other cycles I’d be gutted and beating myself up but I’m feeling pretty patient and content this month (give me a few days and I’ll change my mind 😂)

seven201 · 10/10/2019 17:59

@Goingbacktokansascity whaaaaat? That's mad! Is your period light/nearly over? Have some messy sex just in case!

DobbieFreeElf · 10/10/2019 18:06

@Goingbacktokansascity @seven201 “messy sex”!!!! pmsl! I was going to suggest going for it anyway but couldn’t figure out how to word it!
