@seven201 hopefully 🤞🏻 we done it again tonight so that's twice tonight and once yesterday night so hopefully that's enough and we done it once on Tuesday when my fertile window first opened even tho I wasn't aware that it was opened as my app said I was going to be fertile as from next Friday! So super early.

You've been through it! It's such a hard emotional rollercoaster, nobody understands until they've been through it. I wouldn't wish it on my worst enermy. I have friends that only have to look at their OH and fall pregnant. Do not fair! We'll all get there in the end with positive thinking!! X x

Hi ladies I'm now here, just wanted a bit of advice about clomid as it's my first time taking it, I have a 13yo and my partner has a 9yo both from previous relationships, my consultant has put me on 50mg clomid day 2-6, my day 6 was the 3rd of October I've taken ovulation tests but nothing has shown, does clomid make you ovulate later?
Just a bit concerned.

seven201 · 06/10/2019 07:44

@Thideboo1 what cd are you on now? I think when I took it I ovulated on day 16ish. Don't just rely on ovulation tests though. Try and have sex every other day and hopefully you will get a positive opk.

doomkittycleo · 06/10/2019 08:58

@seven201, still down regulating at the moment, got my scan a week Monday to see if we are ready for stimming.

In other news DD has impetigo and hasn’t slept all night (plus her antibiotics are disgusting and we’re having them spat at us at all very opportunity).

I have a sore throat and major head and ear ache and we’re missing a family party today because of being ill.

Just hope we’re all better by my down reg scan 😞.

seven201 · 06/10/2019 09:31

Can't say I understand all that but I'm glad the scan/next step isn't far off now. 🤞for you.

That sounds like a rubbish week! I hope you all get better soon

doomkittycleo · 06/10/2019 10:26

@seven201 down regulation is a medically induced menopause to shut down your natural cycle, and stimming is the drugs that makes you develop loads of eggs at once ready to be collected and put with the sperm in the lab.

Morning ladies,

From what my basal chart is saying - does that look like ovulation has occurred?

seven201 · 06/10/2019 11:05

@doomkittycleo oh wow. Modern medicine is so amazing that they can do all this! I'm booking in my ivf clinic look round for in a couple of weeks. I know so little about it at the moment.

CharlotteCx · 06/10/2019 13:09

Can anyone help with the basal chart I've posted please.

seven201 · 06/10/2019 13:12

You're meant to temp everyday. I don't think you have enough data to be sure yet.

Here's mine from last month to show the dip

@doomkittycleo eurgh that sounds horrendous, it’s the season for all these coughs and colds and kids getting sick it’s horrible! DH has a cold and the thought of DTD with a snotty man is not doing much for my libido but I’ll soldier through! Hope these babies appreciate what we went through to get them here but by the fact my baby screamed in my face yesterday because I wouldn’t let him eat an elastic band I doubt it 😂

Goingbacktokansascity · 06/10/2019 14:02

@DobbieFreeElf how are you doing? What CD are you now? Last day of meds for me tonight 🙌🏽

CharlotteCx · 06/10/2019 14:21

@seven201 yeah Iv only just started temping on Thursday so think your right not enough data. Done a opk a little while ago and was negative but uploaded it on to the opk app thing and still said '3.44 high' thought that was quite weird.

BelleSausage · 06/10/2019 14:28

Afternoon!

I just wanted to ask about Day 21 results. My consultant has discharged me because she is now saying she can’t prescribe more than 6 months of Clomid. This is not what she said previously and not what I expected. Was a bit of a gut punch because this is suddenly the end.

I have two more months to take so maybe there’s still a chance before we have to look into private IVF. DH doesn’t think we have the money 🙁

My question really is: consultant is telling me that I don’t ovulate based on my day 21 blood results of 29 and 26 nmol. I told her that I thought I ovulate early because of evidence from charting and all other signs. She basically ignored me.

Does anyone else know anything about Day 21 levels? I think the NHS guideline is 30 nmol. Thanks!

CharlotteCx · 06/10/2019 15:18

@BelleSausage Hiya, when I had my cd21 last year my levels were 15 & 24 and my gyno said that showed ovulation. 🤷🏻‍♀️

BelleSausage · 06/10/2019 15:36

@CharlotteCx

Thanks! My consultant was a bit pants to be honest. Will have to look into private I think.

CharlotteCx · 06/10/2019 15:49

@BelleSausage from what I remember too aslong as the levels are over 10 that is fine because over 10 will sustain a healthy pregnancy.

HeyB4by · 06/10/2019 17:01

Hey all!

First post! Just need some thoughts? As no/one knows I’m on clomid :( so hard to have anyone to talk to! So I started June after blood tests etc via doc - went to a private clinic where my bloods are getting monitored but that’s it.

First month ovulated and got pregnant but miscarried in August (my in laws and hubby ate only people who know this). Got my first period At end of September and then took my pills again. It felt much better this time round (side effects wise) but doesn’t look like I’ve ovulated this month. No flashy faces, no solid faces no red lines on any of the other 3 brands of strips I use daily! Nothing this month. I know there is still time but the last time I had the flashing faces basically from when I finished the tablets and this month there is nothing!

Anyone any similar experience?

Is my body just getting back to it or was it just a fluke the first month?

Sorry for rambling just want to talk to this with someone!!!

seven201 · 06/10/2019 18:49

@BelleSausage oh sorry your doctor is so dismissive and rubbish! I don't know about your results as sometimes it says over 10, other places say over 30. Maybe as you say you just had the blood test a little late. I think your plan of going to a private clinic for an appointment might be a good idea. Shouldn't have to do that though! Might be worth it for your own peace of mind.

@HeyB4by I think it's probably just your body setting after mc. My cycles were odd (first reaaaally long, second very short) after a mc. Keep having sex and keep peeing on opks.

BelleSausage · 06/10/2019 19:29

Thank @seven201

So frustrating.

CharlotteCx · 06/10/2019 21:07

@Rinoa after your fertile window was over did you feel tender around your lower stomach and lower back? Iv felt like it since last Tuesday! ... I'm in the TWW now, just wondering why I feel so tender in them areas.

DobbieFreeElf · 06/10/2019 22:03

@Goingbacktokansascity cd7 only, but obviously I messed up the meds, starting and finishing early, so we’ll see what happens! My DS covered the dog in red sauce when my back was turned, tell me again why we’re trying so hard for a second!!

@BelleSausage our consultant doesn’t test ON day 21, they get me to book in for 7 days past my peak opk, which is usually more like cd 24/25. They only call it a day 21 test as they are assuming the average 28 day cycle one-size-fits-all.

@HeyB4by my body was all over the place for a good while after both miscarriages. Remember you have been pregnant and all those hormones are doing strange things and don’t disappear overnight, they take time to return to normal and start regulating.

Marmite83 · 06/10/2019 23:43

Hi @seven201, lovely to hear from you. I'm still in limbo. Finally got a negative hpt last week but opks are not even close to positive so I think af is still a long way off. How are you doing?

CharlotteCx · 07/10/2019 06:06

I've deffo ovulated over the weekend. Yesterday I'd say, as it's dropped and gone back up this morning ☺️☺️
