@Rinoa let's hope it works for me too 🤞🏻

CharlotteCx · 05/10/2019 09:29

Is it normal to have dark positive opks for two days? Got my first positive at 1:15 yesterday afternoon and done one yesterday at 8:30pm and 10:15pm was all so so dark and one cb positive

CharlotteCx · 05/10/2019 09:36

And then done another this morning and still very dark

CharlotteCx · 05/10/2019 09:43

@AmyMaria2 hi hun what is the app called where you take a picture of your ovulation tests and it gives you high or low?

Rinoa · 05/10/2019 09:57

Mine were dark for about 2 days, it's good though means lots of chance to catch the ovulation! I use pre mom to take pictures of opk

CharlotteCx · 05/10/2019 10:37

Well apperently you ovulate around 12-36 hours after your positive opk. We managed to dtd last night too and will do tonight too and tomorrow so fingers crossed 🤞🏻 it's not letting upload any photos! Yes I've downloaded Premom and done the opk photo thing and it's still saying 'high 1.12'

Rinoa · 05/10/2019 12:59

Awesome, great to hear! Good luck 🤗

CharlotteCx · 05/10/2019 15:02

@Rinoa thanks hun , just done another OPK I'm obsessed 🤣 .. getting even higher still ..

Lovely! See it's working :)

CharlotteCx · 05/10/2019 17:09

@Rinoa yes! I didn't think it would be getting stronger through out the day on day two though.. I don't really understand the LH surge etc.

CharlotteCx · 05/10/2019 19:51

So I got my peak at 3pm today and just done another and it's gone to low now... so does that mean Iv ovulated today?

This is what my app is saying ... peak today, ovulation tomorrow. Does that look about right?

Jeeze, the big pharmaceuticals must be making some money out of you if you keep peeing on sticks!!! LH surge lasts 12-24 hours and you will ovulate 12-36hrs later. All you can do is BD around the time you ovulate and hope that maybe one little swimmer is strong enough to go the distance. Unless you have an endless supply of funds stop POS. Chill. Have a glass of wine and try and have some fun between the sheets for the next day or two. And if it doesn’t happen there will be next month and the month after and the month after that. Stressing about it will do nothing but send you crazy and drive your OH away (from experience) Smile

seven201 · 05/10/2019 20:25

@doomkittycleo and @Marmite83 how are you both doing? Hope things have been looking up for you both.

seven201 · 05/10/2019 20:28

@CharlotteCx as soon as you get the line darker than the control line or solid smiley it's pointless peeing on more sticks. The line stays dark for a few days for me usually but it doesn't mean ovulation hasn't yet happened, it means the hormone is just still hanging around I think. Positive opk just means you'll ovulate in the next day or so. If you really want to know if you've ovulated you need a scan or to do basal temp monitoring every morning.

CharlotteCx · 05/10/2019 20:33

Ah okay I didn't know that. I really don't know a lot about LH surges and stuff Iv been doing my research but every time I google it tells me different things. I have been temping and my temp had dropped this morning. So we'll see what tomorrow's says. The one that says low on the chart I just went back to it after 10 mins (it says on the instructions accurate results wait 10 minutes) and it's still really really dark so I didn't know if that meant I haven't yet ovulated, as I thought once you have released the egg the LH becomes less & then the opks will start to fade.

seven201 · 05/10/2019 20:46

@CharlotteCx I think the egg is released within a certain time from the first darkest line so ignore the others. The temp drop sounds promising I think. I get so confused by it all!

CharlotteCx · 05/10/2019 20:52

@seven201 so do I 🙁 .. it's really stressing me out. I know I need to go with the flow but easier said than done when you want something so bad. Plus it's the first ever positive opk Iv ever seen for myself so it's a lovely feeling to know that something is happening but stressful at the same time. I hope it haven't ovulated yet as we have only managed to dtd on Tuesday (the start of my fertile window) and lastnight. Need to get one in tonight!!! My OH also said that lastnight sorry for TMI but it felt really slippery .. and I had EWCM during the day so I know I'm fertile atm. Have you had Clomid, what is your journey hun?

AmyMaria2 · 05/10/2019 21:51

@CharlotteCx you got a good positive opk and you dtd last night so that's already a great start! Try and dtd tonight and maybe tomorrow then you're totally covered, I used pre seed as well the month I got my bfp, may of just been coincidence but worth a try:) good luck xx

CharlotteCx · 05/10/2019 21:53

So i dtd last night and just done it again tonight so I think I'm covered! Awww are you pregnant? I don't think I need pre seed etc I have a lot of slippery stuff hahah xxx

CharlotteCx · 05/10/2019 22:02

@AmyMaria2 sorry I thought I was talking to the other lady who messaged me. Still getting used to this app haha xx

AmyMaria2 · 05/10/2019 22:10

@CharlotteCx it's confusing at first lol. Yeah I didn't really need the pre seed just gave it ago, it just helps get the sperm where it needs to be quicker lol. Xx

CharlotteCx · 05/10/2019 22:16

@AmyMaria2 it is lol. Well since having
My first positive opk yesterday we've dtd twice so fingers crossed 🤞🏻🤞🏻 how long after your ovulation did you get positive opk cos you know that pic I uploaded of the 'low' after the 'high' I done another one and it went to 'high' again!!! Xx

seven201 · 05/10/2019 23:35

@CharlotteCx I tried clomid but it thinned my womb lining so had to stop, then tried tamoxifen but it overstimulated my ovaries so had to stop, then had ovarian drilling and my fallopian tube unblocked (same surgery) and now on metformin to help regulate cycle. Going to start IVF in January if not pregnant by then as will have been 2 years of TTC. I did fall pregnant early on in trying but had an early miscarriage. I do have a 3 year old already who was conceived naturally but took a while. It's feels like a long road and I'm getting old and lost my patience with it all a long time ago!

seven201 · 05/10/2019 23:38

Sounds like you've got the sperm in the right place at hopefully the right time. Try and have sex again tomorrow or the day after if you're not sure.
