@CharlotteCx yea I would feel serious ovary pains but very faint line, I felt really down about it. I thought for sure it failed. Then BAM cd13 positive opk on both cheap test and digital. Don't worry 😉 easier said than done I know but have faith

AmyMaria2 · 01/10/2019 23:40

@CharlotteCx yes only found out a week ago still in shock. I have got pcos but I've always had 28 day cycles and ovulated day 16 before clomid. Then I started clomid and had 26 day cycles and always ovulated day 13/14 every month. I had scans between day 12-14 every month and day 21 blood tests, so it was always confirmed, just didn't get bfp for 5 months, was preparing for ivf, and then the 6th cycle worked! So was random for me, we dtd every other day from when I came off my period, but every day from cd 12-15 as I ovulated then. You could be ovulating early, like you say at least you won't miss the window if you're dtd every other day, keep up the opks, they really helped me, good luck! xx

CharlotteCx · 02/10/2019 05:38

@AmyMaria2 such amazing news! Oh so you had regular cycles even with PCOS! My cycles are mostly anything between 33 and 36 days but sometimes jumps to 55 days .. that doesn't happen a lot though so I thought the clomid would make me ovulate on CD 20 something as that's when I'd normally ovulate.. but it's made everyone ovulate early. Yes I'm just going to dtd every other day as they say to let the sperm fill up again don't they lol x

CharlotteCx · 02/10/2019 05:48

@Rinoa @AmyMaria2 I don't think I'm going to carry on with the opks as I get so disheartened when I see a faint line, I'm waiting for my basal thermometer to arrive to I'm guna temp every morning but if I do ovulate and dtd every other day I should be fine & hopefully if I ovulate I'll catch this month 🤞🏻🤞🏻 xxx

Rinoa · 02/10/2019 08:13

@CharlotteCx that's so odd they don't monitor you on your first round . Doc told me first day I get a positive opk to wait a week and go on a Monday for blood test, progesterone.

Anyway good luck i hope it goes well for u ! 🤞

CharlotteCx · 02/10/2019 08:35

Oh yeah I am having day 21 bloods, he's also gave me day 28 bloods to because I normally have a longer cycle so didn't know if day 21 would be to early. I just haven't been to a scan where they monitor me. How would I go about getting one?

How are you feeling in yourself? @Rinoa bet it still hasn't sunk in yet has it?

Rinoa · 02/10/2019 08:40

Well when I was referred to the fertility treatment at the hospital by my GP they said it will be £300 for cycle tracking and what it covered. It included getting scanned to make sure the meds working and charge dose if needed.

Still hasn't sunk in lol had a sleepless night because of indigestion not sure if just me or because of hormones lol been up since 4am. So tired. Also just occurred to me I need to up my carbs! As I've been on low carb for a while now to lose weight !

CharlotteCx · 02/10/2019 08:54

Oh do you have to pay for your treatment. Are you in the UK? Can't I request from my gyno to have scans?

Ah I bet, must be the most amazing feeling ever! I can't wait to experience it 😍 .... I had a dream lastnight that I took a clearblue pregnancy test and it said 1-2 weeks pregnant 😩 then I woke up and was like ohhh it was just a dream 🙁

CharlotteCx · 02/10/2019 08:57

@Rinoa how much weight have you lost? Iv lost a stone, although I do still eat carbs lol.
My lower back and all round the lower stomach is really achy still today. Wonder what's going on in there lol.

AmyMaria2 · 02/10/2019 09:28

@CharlotteCx I don't pay for treatment and I get scans and blood tests, and an appointment where they explain the results and tell me how many good follicles there was, maybe ask your gyno about scans x

CharlotteCx · 02/10/2019 09:30

I think I'm going to call his Secutary today and ask if I can have a scan! I think it's bad that I haven't been offered any scans. Going to call them now actually 🤣

CharlotteCx · 02/10/2019 09:31

@AmyMaria2 where about in the UK are you?

DobbieFreeElf · 02/10/2019 13:09

@CharlotteCx I was given a clomid prescription (3 month’s worth) and no offer of any scans or blood tests, it varies on where you are.

I might just recommend to you doing the basic opks in conjunction with a clear blue dual ovulation monitor, there’s no mistaking the flashy smiley/ solid smileys on those.

Also hard but remember clomid isn’t the answer to every woman’s fertility questions, a lot of us have been on the TTC train for a very long time and overthinking every twinge and ache will only make the emotional rollercoaster more difficult to ride (from experience) x

DobbieFreeElf · 02/10/2019 13:11

@Goingbacktokansascity sounds hellish! Hope you have a better day today!

CharlotteCx · 02/10/2019 13:39

@DobbieFreeElf ahh ok then! Yes tbh I have thought about the OPKS more & have gone out n gotten loads of clear blue ovulation tests and preg tests. Going to start using the OPKS tonight x

Yes I am aware of that Clomid isn't the answer for everyone but cos of my pcos I have a hormone imbalance, and my bloods have confirmed the only slightly elevated hormone is testerone for me, I do ovulate naturally but I skip a few months too! So praying Clomid is my answer! X

Rinoa · 02/10/2019 13:39

Yea as they said it depends where you are. I am in the UK in London. They cover 3 rounds of ivf but not cycle tracking lol which is fine

CharlotteCx · 02/10/2019 13:52

My gyno only give me one month at first to see what happens & then said if I need more then to call up and say. @DobbieFreeElf

AmyMaria2 · 02/10/2019 15:45

@CharlotteCx I'm in Kent x

CharlotteCx · 02/10/2019 16:24

@AmyMaria2 ahhh ok! Was you doing opks? If so what CD did you start them? I'm CD10 today & just done a CB ovulation test and it come back with low fertility atm.. it would be to early to ovulate now anyway wouldn't it?

Penni4love · 02/10/2019 18:31

Good day all, I finished my 1st cycle of clomid on Saturday 21/09... Been having bad cramping since last pill, was so intense last Friday I was bedridden... Anyone experiencing bad cramping and sore breasts? Is it normal? My Dr said it's normal but it's really weird....waiting for af in 6 days it's soo far... Baby dust to you all!! :)

AmyMaria2 · 02/10/2019 20:49

@CharlotteCx yeah I did opks, I usually started them cd9, morning and evening. Yeah I think it is early to ovulate but everyone's different I guess, although if you have longer cycles I would say it's early to ovulate x

CharlotteCx · 02/10/2019 20:53

@AmyMaria2 yeah that's what I thought too but a lady on here said she had long cycles too and she ovulated on day 13 I think she said so that's why I've started the opks today. Spent a fortune on clear blue digital ovulation tests 🙈 ..

AmyMaria2 · 02/10/2019 21:53

@CharlotteCx yeah, I ovulated on cd 13 most months, oh really I always only used the internet cheapy ones. Here's a pic of my last positive one if it helps, it should look like this, the test line darker then the control line Xx

CharlotteCx · 02/10/2019 21:57

@AmyMaria2 right ok! And so if you ovulated cd 13 most months, when you was doing opks the days before that 9,10,11,12 when did they start getting darker? I'm praying I don't just see that horrid empty circle on my digital one for too long xx

AmyMaria2 · 02/10/2019 22:08

@CharlotteCx these are mine from August. They only really got darker the day before for me, I hope you get a positive one soon xx
