@Rinoa CD8 sorry not 9.

CharlotteCx · 01/10/2019 06:25

Ladies I've been reading on google that you should start DTD every other day from CD 10. My CD 10 is tomorrow - I wanted to dtd every other day from when I finished my AF Saturday, So lastnight would have been the night but my OH got called out on a job so now I'm stressing 😩😩 .. I feel achy in the ovary area keep getting twinges. I hope I wouldn't be ovulating on CD9 would I? If I was I'd still be in with a chance as DTD on Saturday evening but even so... any advice?? X

LaurenN23 · 01/10/2019 08:48

@CharlotteCx don't panic! Sperm can live inside you for 5 days so every other day/every 3 days is what's recommended. Don't stress it will be fine :) CD9 is a little to early to ovulate but you can confirm with an ovulation test x

CharlotteCx · 01/10/2019 09:19

@LaurenN23 .. yes I have read that sperm can live for that long but I wanted to do it every other day just so I know there will be lots up there haha! I did do an ovulation test lastnight when I got home from work and it had the faintest line on the test bit .. so no where near positive but if it's got a faint line in it does that mean it's detected something?

LaurenN23 · 01/10/2019 09:24

@CharlotteCx do you have PCOS? If so, ovulation tests are extremely unpredictable. It should get gradually darker up until ovulation day but you will only know for sure when the line is as dark as or darker than the test line.

If it's only very faint I'd say you've got a good few days to go and not to worry about missing BD for one night! It will be fine x

CharlotteCx · 01/10/2019 09:33

Yes I do!

Yeah It was very light.. I'm tryna upload a photo of it but it's not letting me. So annoying, I know I shouldn't worry but you do in these circumstances don't you, I caused such a row with my OH last night over it. It all puts so much strain on BD'ing I think. Takes the fun right out of it.

CharlotteCx · 01/10/2019 09:36

@LaurenN23 I do feel quite crampy in the ovary area and have got a headache so that's why I'm thinking hmmm something must be happening down there so we need to get the BD'ing in lol. Ahhh so stressed.

LaurenN23 · 01/10/2019 09:52

@CharlotteCx try your best to relax! I know it's hard but let your body do its thing. You're on the right path now so just try and keep positive - fingers crossed for you x

CharlotteCx · 01/10/2019 10:16

I will from now - just so scared that I am going to miss that ovulation window!! I have ordered a basal thermometer which should be delivered in the next couple of days so will start temping. I think that'll be more accurate for me due to PCOS. What cycle of Clomid are you on hun? @LaurenN23

LaurenN23 · 01/10/2019 10:24

@CharlotteCx I was due to start last week but it got cancelled. I am having to go for further treatment first for high prolactin levels. So my journey feels like it's at a halt at the moment :(

CharlotteCx · 01/10/2019 10:42

Ohhh no! That isn't good, that must be so disheartening :(... what are high prolactin levels? And how did you find out you had high levels? Would this have been starting your first round? @LaurenN23

LaurenN23 · 01/10/2019 12:08

@CharlotteCx it is disheartening- I feel really low at the moment! But trying to keep my head up. My blood test showed the high prolactin levels but I always thought something wasn't right as I get milky discharge from my boobs as if I've just had a baby! Had that for 7 or so years. Hoping the meds they put me on work. Want to start clomid ASAP - it would have been my first round x

CharlotteCx · 01/10/2019 12:48

What blood test is that called for the prolactin hun? Ah sorry to hear that. Try and think positively as I believe if you think this way positive things will happen. Yes this is my first cycle too. I hope you get things sorted & can start your Clomid ASAP!

Mol5 · 01/10/2019 17:45

Hi guys, I've not been on in a really long time but often saw other women do this and would love to pop back and give hope! I am now 23 weeks pregnant after success on our 9th and final round of clomid/3 years TTC with PCOS. I also hugely credit the success to introducing Ovusense in my final clomid round which gave me a different positive ovulation day vs OPKS. Maybe OPKs were always wrong.. who knows. It was our last clomid cycle before beginning IVF so I really hope this gives a little faith to those of you who are struggling x

Goingbacktokansascity · 01/10/2019 18:26

i know fertility treatment is so emotionally difficult so I want you all to atleast go to bed tonight knowing that atleast your day was better than mine.
First day back after maternity leave. I can’t get to my car because for some reason a flock of angry geese are in front of my car and hissing every time I go near so I’m running around like an IDIOT trying to scare them off but being terrified every time they lunge at me. Get to work late to discover I’ve caught my baby’s diarrhoea and vomiting bug from last week. Stuck in the staff toilet ALLLLL DAY. Finally home after a danger drive. And I’ve got a presentation tomorrow so I’m sitting trying to do it on my phone while my baby is in his high chair in the toilet in front of me because I can’t get off it.
Meant to start letrozole tonight but genuinely considering sacking it off for a month or two until I actually get in control of my life 😭

seven201 · 01/10/2019 18:31

@Mol5 that's a lovey story. Thank you for sharing. I use an Ava bracelet for tracking temp overnight.

Think I'm out for this month now as my temp has dipped two days in a row, so I think Aunt Flo is imminent. Had a really shit day at work too so am on the wine.

@Goingbacktokansascity oh my goodness that sounds so awful! I'm so sorry. Hopefully tomorrow will be better. You shouldn't go in tomorrow though due to the 48 hour rule. Thanks. I hope you can get off the toilet soon. Diorrhea (I cant spell it) with a clingy baby or toddler is the worst!

CharlotteCx · 01/10/2019 18:51

Ladies, is it normal to feel backache & cramps on CD 9? X

CharlotteCx · 01/10/2019 20:06

@Rinoa hi hun, Quick question... round your fertile window did you have a dull backache and dull shooting pains down your thighs? As that's what I've got atm. Don't wana think to much into it as only CD9 but wondering if anyone else has had the same x

AmyMaria2 · 01/10/2019 21:01

@CharlotteCx hey, welcome. Just keep doing your opks from now morning and evening.. they should get darker until you get a positive that's the only way to know really, cd9 is usually early to ovulate. You get different cramps and weird feelings all through the month, it's so hard to tell what they could all mean!
Good luck with your clomid!! xx

Rinoa · 01/10/2019 21:01

I definitely had obvious pains on both ovaries CD9, also had a scan that day where they saw 3 follicles growing ! Prob what you're feeling :)

CharlotteCx · 01/10/2019 21:37

@Rinoa ahhh really!!! That could be what it is then Smile ... I've had to get into bed because my lower back is really aching on both sides! And the pain is going down my thighs! I know my body and I know something is defiantly happening. I done another opk today and was still a faint line. But you said you had a faint line didn't you?

CharlotteCx · 01/10/2019 21:38

@AmyMaria2 hey! Thank you! Smile what cycle are you on? Yes I thought CD9 was early but something is defiantly going on as my lower back is so achy I've had to get into bed! Thanks for your well wishes xxxx

AmyMaria2 · 01/10/2019 21:38

@CharlotteCx I would always get a faint line on my opks, just had to wait until they got darker and then as dark or darker than the control line. Makes sense that follicles are growing though! Good luck x

AmyMaria2 · 01/10/2019 21:39

@CharlotteCx I just finished my last cycle of clomid 6th one and got my bfp! There's hope for us all for sure xx

CharlotteCx · 01/10/2019 21:47

@AmyMaria2 oh wow!!!!! I bet you are over the moon! How amazing, Do you have PCOS? Did you ovulate on any of the other cycles? Not to be crude but was you dtd really regularly or just in the fertile week? Iv told my OH we need to do it every other day just so we don't miss the possible fertile window.

What day did you ovulate on on your 6th cycle? Yes, as I say I know my body and cos Iv got pcos I ovulate irregularly but on the cycles I do ovulate naturally on, my back ALWAYS aches!!! So I think it must be a good sign Grin
