IVF buddies wanted Sept/Oct 2019

I start down regging next week on long protocol IVF. EC scheduled week of 14/10.
Would be great to buddy up with anyone on similar timelines x

@thund4rcat I don't why they told me that 😑 I am now bleeding heavy have had a few small clots do you think I should carry on taking them mite just go down to A E

@sks88 just follow the medication instructions they gave you. So sorry to hear you are bleeding now. I don't know about A&E, maybe try your clinic emergency phone line if they have one for advice? Have you done another pregnancy test since your official test day?

@thund4rcat I will do will give them a call as well, I haven't done a test yet but will do one just feel gutted and don't want to hear bad news.

Hi everyone, hope you are all ok (@Sks88 hope especially you are ok, and that you don't mind me asking this question when you are having such a hard time)

I am 6dp5dt today (fresh transfer). Tested positive yesterday at 9.30am, faint but definite. Tested this morning at 7.30 and again and 9.30, and both lines are darker. I didn't test the trigger, but am assuming that 10000 gonasi is out of my systerm 13 days after injecting, and that the line would be getting lighter and not darker (markedly so!) if it was just the trigger. Male fertility issue, I'm text book fine. Be gentle...!

@maggie272 hi hun I am ok just worried not knowing what happening, won t to take a test today but the nurse has told me to wait for next week Friday which I know is going to be a long week for me.. I hope all goes well for you hunny is this your first go

I got AF yesterday so contacted clinic to ask when I can start to stim...I have to continue down-regging and wait till Friday to even have baseline bloods/scan! Apparently they need ovaries and womb rested- but everything I've read suggests you would start stimming on day 2-3 after bleed.....grrrr....they're probably just busy and fobbing me off!

@PixiePal I think I was on buserelin from 23rd August - 5th September, and then added menopur until the 16th September. I had no idea why but I just did what I was told.

Still have positive pregnancy tests, getting ever so slightly darker every day, and the nurse told me today that it was definitely not the trigger. Panicked a bit with some spotting, but the line is still there. Still not getting hopes too high.

Aa I'm private I went for consultation on day 10 and asked if I could get started straight away. So scans and bloods were taking and I stated meds that evening. Fast forward day 15 bloods came back and had low eastrogen levels so they thought it better to cancel as only few follicles to. So hear we go again, friday I will find out if I start all over again

I wasnt nervous doing injections just a little weird feelings a few days in, with sleep it sort of went away. Good luck

Just got my period and am in pain from that (have adenomyosis)... And not allowed normal Mefenamic Acid pain killers, so only paracetamol.

Let's hope this is my last period for a long time! 🤞

Hi Ladies, hope things are still going well for @Sks88 and @Maggie272
Great to hear you've both started @WorriedButterfly and & @41trying

I seen my Dr on Friday and was expecting to start stimms. US and bloods were fine. They delayed my stims till this Thursday though so I'm stuck on 0.5ml Buserilin for another week....the Dr is on holiday the week of the 14th when I'd have been going for EC and ET and he wanted to do it himself. Pleased the same Dr will be doing it, but gutted to be stuck in this menopausal, buserilin-fuelled, weapy slump for an extra week 😫 xxx

@PixiePal thank you! Ours ended in a chemical, our second. On thursday we finally let ourselves believe we were having a baby, the line on the test was the darkest it had been, and we went out for cake! when i got home i was bleeding a lot and even though people were saying there was still a chance I knew it was gone. We are totally fine, I'm so glad I got a positive line, and I'm seeing the doc on tues to catch up and see what we can do differently for my frozen transfer next. What will be will be, and whatever happens we have a very happy life.

I remember the buserelin, and I'm not sure I'd do it again! You will feel so much better once your stimming, I loved it : ) xxx

@Maggie272 really sorry to hear that- your positive outlook is admirable and great that you're keeping yourself in a good headspace. I hope you enjoyed a large glass of your favourite tipple, or another large piece of cake at the weekend. The IVF journey is no easy task! Xx

A little bit of good news this morning. Start cetrotide this morning and carry on Bemfola tonight. Egg collection will be Friday if all ol this week so I have my fingers and toes crossed.

Just had a phone call didnt expect one so thought it was going to be bad news. They want to scan me again tomorrow, as I'm doing natural/Mild, they probably bring it forward to Thursday now, according to bloods today.
