@NeelaBlue I’m sorry to hear that I bet that was so awful. Hope you’re taking care of yourself!

Hi everyone,
Just an update from me.
After our failed round of IVF we decided to call it a day on TTC.
However, the next month I somehow managed to conceive naturally (first time in ten years that’s happened!!).
Unfortunately I started to bleed yesterday and went for a private scan last night, where I was told that I’ll most likely miscarry as the foetus is measuring a few weeks behind (6 instead of 11) and has a very faint heartbeat.
But I still feel hopeful that we might conceive naturally again.
I was taking Proceive Plus and my husband had been taking Co Enzyme Q10, not sure if any of that helped.
Anyway, good luck everyone.

Good luck to everyone still on their journey.

We decided to call it a day after the failed round. I'm going to refocus on new goals for this year. X

Really sorry to hear that @C88M life is really cruel. Good luck going forward.

@PixiePal Sorry for fading away following my earlier posts. Collection (1 Nov) yielded 29 eggs, but Obviously that meant I had developed OHSS which wasn't great as I was quite ill and we had to abort the round. On the bright side it gave us time to PGS test the embryos we ended up with - consultant recommended due to my history. We're hoping to start again in the next few months.

Good luck ladies!

@C88M oh my goodness, I'm so very sorry to see this. Life can be extremely cruel and unfair. I hope you're able to take a good chunk of time to get through this and be kind to yourself x

Just an update after a successful 7 week scan we went for our 12 week scan and sadly the baby had stopped growing just after the scan. Absolutely heartbroken seems so cruel, no symptoms at all to indicate anything was wrong including positive pregnancy tests!

So I might see some of you on future ivf threads! We have 3 frozen embryos. We’ll take some time then try again.

@NeelaBlue sorry to hear of your BFN today. I feel your pain. I hope that faint line you spotted = a positive beta for you though x

That’s interesting @C88M .
I took a test this morning and it was an obvious BFN (today is OTD).
But I shoved the test back in its packet and put it in my work bag, I just pulled it out to have another look (because, as we’ve already covered: “batshit crazy”) and there’s a very faint line (maybe an evaporation line, maybe my imagination).

Anyway, i’ve Just run out Boots and bought a FRER. Will test this afternoon.

I find it’s the hope that drives you insane.

Good luck with your egg collection @Gursharankaur28

@C88M thank you, I'm glad it's not just me!
I had nausea yesterday morning and a pinchy pain on my left side. I'm trying not to get my hopes up but I guess it's good to be positive? I was all calm and now I'm like I want to test noooowww! I've made a promise not to test until it's though 😫😫

Depending on the scheduling you could be waiting a couple of hours beforehand and probably an hour or so after.

Take a dressing gown, slippers (as they’ll probably get you into a gown ASAP), comfy clothes to travel home in. I took a book and a magazine but I didn’t have enough attention span for the book really so just flicked through the mag!

I found the time there quite busy - you will be visited by the nurses, anaesthetists, doctors and possibly embryologists pre procedure and everyone explained everything clearly and gave me the chance to ask questions. I was particularly nervous about the sedation but they reassured me.

I was told the scheduling for the morning and when it was my slot I was asked to use the loo and then walked down to the theatre. I was then in a small anaesthetic room to start with where they gave me some initial sedation and painkiller which really chilled me out, and then wheeled me into the theatre where it was set up basically like a larger scanning room. Everyone said hello and then that was the last I remember until I woke up! I looked at the clock and about 30 mins had gone by. I was tired and anxious to find out if they’d got any eggs (they got 15 in the end...not many of those developed but that’s another story).

It wasn’t long before I was back in my cubicle and DH could re-join me. They gave me a sandwich and a tea and it wasn’t long before the Drs visited again. We were updated on egg collection and next steps, and then they removed the IV and I was allowed to get dressed and go home.

Good luck with your procedure, hope it goes well Smile

@Tlcm I was a nutter during my 2ww I think it comes with the territory. I was so Ill from the ivf which distracted me a little!

@NeelaBlue my digital was negative the day before my otd then positive on the otd and I’m currently 5 weeks. Just a week and a half till my scan and I can hopefully calm down a little!

Morning everyone,

OTD is tomorrow for me, but I tested this morning and got a BFN.
So now I’m doing that crazy thing where I google to see if anyone got a BFN the day before OTD and then got a BFP. There’s always someone!
Anyway, hope everyone is well, and good luck!
Right I’m off to google “miracle natural conception at 43 after IVF failure”. Lol...

Take care all.

@Tlcm welcome! I am 3DP5DT today too and afraid I can offer no advice as to how to stay distracted! I’m currently amplifying every symptom and twinge but hard to know if it’s just the progesterone and / or AF - according to my app my regular AF Would have started yesterday.

I’m back to work today so maybe that will take my mind off things (but also quite worried as I won’t get my afternoon nap!)

How is everyone doing today?

Hi sorry to jump in on this thread, but I’m 3dp5dt with 2 embryos (frozen donor eggs). I’ve never got to transfer on the 3 other times we’ve tried ivf for various reasons, mainly my lining.
We’re here now though and I’m feeing positive! However I dont want to dwell on the periody way I’m feeling as I’ve got a long way to wait until otd.
How did you all get through the 2ww without driving yourself batshit crazy??
🤪🤪🤪🤨

@Youngatheart00 my first cycle was similar to yours. Loads of eggs, only 2 made it to Blasto (nothing to freeze). I had 2 transferred, one better than the other, and got my 4 year old as a result. It's always a shame when nothing to freeze, but if even one of your Blasto's make it- result! Good luck xx

@NeelaBlue That's a positive thing to focus on as your back up plan. I found having my career and holiday plans as a backup for a BFN a bit of a softener for things not working xx

Sorry to hear that @PixiePal. Thanks for starting this thread BTW.

@Youngatheart00 I had a similar situation, only two low quality 3 day embryos and nothing to freeze (a bit disappointed after having 18 eggs and 11 fertilise). I hope you hear some good news from the clinic.

I’m currently 9dp3dt and got a BFN on a FRER this morning, so not looking hopeful.
I was asked if I’m interested in applying for a new job by a recruiter and I think if this cycle ends in a BFN of OTD, I’m going to go for it, I just need to move on now as I feel my life has been on hold for the last 5 years whilst TTC.

Anyway, I’m going on a bit. Hope everyone is okay. Have a nice Saturday all!

I had my ET this morning. It didn’t go quite as id hoped. From 12 fertilised only 2 made it to blast and the remainder are ‘slow growing’. Surprisingly they recommended I transfer both blasts (one good, one they didn’t really comment on other than to say it was an early blast) so I have 2 transferred.

They are going to call us tomorrow to let us know whether any of the remaining 10 have ‘caught up’ and can be frozen. Despite having two embryos transferred today I feel bitterly disappointed that as of now there’s nothing to freeze. Has anyone else experienced this?
