IVF buddies wanted Sept/Oct 2019

I start down regging next week on long protocol IVF. EC scheduled week of 14/10.
Would be great to buddy up with anyone on similar timelines x

@PixiePal that's great, I felt quite rough on the Buserelin, I'm not gonig to lie! But it was worth it...we got three embryos, one being transferred today and two being frozez! Another they are looking at until tomorrow. Delighted we have gotten this far!

Morning everyone so 11 collected yesterday 9 mature but only 4 fertilised - feeling a bit disappointed with that just got to hope they hold out to day 5

Yesterday I felt awful and whereas on my first cycle i was asleep during collection I felt everything this time! 😬

I know! It's was pretty bloody painful - I was aware enough to feel it but not lucid enough to say anything - afterwards they said "oh were you awake as you were moving around a lot" 🤦‍♀️

I was awful just before egg collection and afterwards when I did a cycle in 2014. So bloated and tender 🥴

Also, how long did anyone on long protocol take Buserilin before they got period? I remember my period being so late last time. Think I did 21 days down regging before I could stim, due to late period! I'm day 6 now and already feeling impatient haha x

@PixiePal, thank you! I feel a bit tender, there's a small risk of OHSS so they are watching that. We are trying not to get our hopes up, and we believe that we will still be happy if a baby isn't on the cards, but we want to try.
I was on the pill for three weeks before Buserilin and my period came maybe three or four days after the pill / into buserilin, but it was really weird and not a normal period. xxx

Hi ladies, just got home from my EC this morning, managed to get 14 so fingers crossed some fertilise!
Was in a bit of pain after maybe due to mild ohss but it’s seemed to ease off now.
Lots of rest today and holding out for the phone call tomorrow to see how many have made it! Xx

@itwasalovelydreamwhileitlasted - How are the embryos looking?

We had the egg transfer on Wednesday, out of the 5 embryos who were there at day 3, only 1 made it to day 5 (expanded blastocyst) and implemented - but as it was grade 1 and looked very good, we still have a hope! One thing for sure, we DID NOT expected the IVF journey (thats our first) to be such an emotional rollercoaster.. :/

Hey everyone so Day 3 update for me

1 @ grade 1 (8 cells)
3 @ grade 2 (8 cells)

Happy with that as 1 more than last time and we didn't have any grade 1s in last cycle only 2/3

Hoping we'll get all 4 to Day 5 and biopsy for PGS x

How are you feeling post transfer?
Did you have male factor issues? It's usually male sperm quality which takes over from day 3 sx

I had my scan today and my lining is good to go so et is booked on for next wed! No more injections which I’m pleased about jist noe on to the pessaries!

@itwasalovelydreamwhileitlasted - happy to hear things are going well, or at least better than the previous one :) I will cross my fingers that the grade 1 embryo will make it to day 5!

I feel ok, very stressed and it seems like the days are moving VERY slow :/ and yes, it is a male factor in our case - low sperm count and some motility issues..we did ISCI with MACS, so hopefully the clinic really chose the best soldiers who can make it :)

Also, my partner was a smoker and stopped completely only 2 weeks before the IVF. If this round fails, we will do another one at the end of December, so more than 4 months after he stopped smoking, maybe it will give us some better chance, but for now, we are still hoping for some good news in 10 days.

Hi all,
I've just finished my medication and I am waiting to take my pregnancy test 😮 tomorrow morning I am so nerves 😟as I keep feeling period like cramps and I keep sporting and then stopping so every time I get a cramp I feel as though this making me bleed a bit any advice

@thund4rcat l I've had a positive pregnancy test so happy but so nerves as ive been bleeding😦 I don't known if it's coz I stoped my Cyclogest 400mg

@sks88 congratulations! They told you to stop the cyclogest? I wonder why?

When I got a positive last time I was told to continue cyclogest until 12 weeks.
