everyone,
I've started a new thread for people starting treatment this month. I'm hoping to make some new friends with people who understand how hard this journey is. Hopefully we can have some fun whilst getting on with the treatment.
This is my first cycle of ivf/icsi so any treatment buddies please say hello.

Hello lovely ladies! Scan was clear and I'm starting injections tomorrow (menopur and bemfola plus corticoids). Anyone else on this protocol?
I've been feeling extremely anxious and irascible today, wanted to go to the gym but failed miserably, would love to have a drink but I'd feel guilty, should apply for a job but can't be asked, pretty much nothing makes me happy today except for eating oatcakes!

Hi all - has EC today. They managed to get 6 which isn’t too bad considering only 7 follicles. Waiting game now to see how many fertilise. Op not too bad although bled a bit when I stood up to go to the loo - all fine but scared me as they had said light bleeding ( not pouring down my leg and filling my flip flop !) tired but feel ok.

I've been mostly physically fine at work, maybe a bit bloated pre EC but I'm struggling with focusing, I can't stop thinking about IVF, so happy it's the weekend.

@drminion great news about the scan, I wasn't on that protocol and didn't take any of those drugs, it seems there are so many different versions.

@Yorkshirehope that's fantastic. Keep an eye on that bleeding, hopefully it will calm down. Are you planning a fresh transfer or a freeze all?

@LillyLeaf thanks will do. Am hoping to do a fresh transfer next week. Hubby has low mobility but they said they were happy with his sample. So many little hurdles - allowing ourselves to be happy today as we got over today’s hurdle. Tomorrow is a new day, new hurdle to deal with then. Celebratory pizza for me 🤣 ( in days of old it would have been a wine )

Advice please! So I've been testing since 3dp5dt and had faint positives that have gradually got darker and today's test is nearly as dark as the control line with frer. I'm 7dp5dt and have really sore boobs that feel zingy, pinching in my left hand side and what feel like bubbles in my uterus. This surely cant still be the trigger can it? X

@Lil221 if they've got darker it's not the trigger, congratulations.

@LillyLeaf thank you. I just wish I could post a pic so you could all dissect it with me lol. It just doesn't feel real that my first ivf round would work x

I knew you would get a BFP when you mentioned you had pinching, you described what I felt with my first transfer/BFP. How are you feeling?

@lillyleaf thank you I'm glad I'm not imagining things even though they are strong lines. I'm feeling ok, very tired all the time, boobs hurt, side aches and tightness in my uterus. I'm fascinated with these little popping sensations I'm feeling though.

@Yorkshirehope cherish those numbers because it's still a great number. Now the day to day waiting game begins but you got this. Drink a lot of water and rest. And be kind to yourself

@Lil221 what amazing 2 lines. Hold on to those. Feel so so happy for you. 1 more hurdle out of the way 😉 I won't know until Thursday and it's driving me crazy because I feel some of those things as well...sore boobs, pinch in my left hand side sometimes but, I know everyone is different and I don't wanna read too much into it. Hurry up Thursday that's all I can.

I should probably mention that with my fresh transfer I felt pinching etc but with my FET which was a BFP I felt absolutely nothing and thought it hadn't worked because bit was nothing like me fresh transfer. It just shows that everything and nothing doesn't mean anything (if that makes sense).

I'm anxiously waiting for our day 3 embryo update.

Just had my call from the clinic- 5 fertilised overnight from the six. So happy. Now have transfer on Wednesday. Not much I can do till then so just relaxing as much as I can. Hope everyone else ok x

Just had our day 3 update most are looking good, maybe 2 that won't make it to day 5, we'll see. Another update on Monday and hopefully the biopsy can go ahead.

ladies on the TWW .... don't you feel it's DRAGGING 😱😱😱😱 i feel the extreme tension building up .. i'm scared to go for a wee incase i see blood😭😭😭😭

morning, it's like clockwork every morning around 5:30 Am I wake up with a headache and congestion. My boobs are sore too. Obviously I don't want to read too much into it until OTD and desperately want to continue the pessaries

what do you recommend? Has anyone had these with the pessaries? Should I be contacting the clinic ?

obviously i also have a lot of stress with work because i reported bullying and harassment so it might all be that too ( not the sore boobs)

@facevalue, what are the pessaries? I'm taking Cyclogest 400mg and aside from the initial diziness (now gone) and a bit of constipation (which I've been better since eating plums) I've been okeish. But we're all very different. According to the leaflet you're experiencing the expected side effects, but I don't think there's anything wrong in calling the clinic just to make sure. Also, as you said work hasn't helped either. Is there any way you can take a few days off? And yes..this all thing of waiting SUCKS. I'm 4 days away...4! Stay strong, you can do this.

my clinic said 14th test but 2WW should end on 11th or 12th? mmmm what's that about ..

I get sore breasts and mild cramps from Cyclogest. I'm on it now just in case they wanted to transfer something this cycle. I'll hopefully stop it tomorrow once they confirm something to biopsy. I've just been down a YouTube rabbit hole watching IVF stories and live pregnancy tests, I'm way too over invested with in other people's IVF treatment.

@facevalue why is your clinic making you wait so long, it's cruel. My OTD has always been 9dt5dt, I don't think I could have waited much longer than that. The 2ww is meant to be from EC.

Hi ladies hope your all doing ok and managing those injections and all the associated lovely symptoms ok. I have been struggling alot with this cycle which after a week of struggling with pain and distended belly to the point of having to walk slowly as even walking fast was unbearable I contacted to clinic and they took some bloods such FBC etc.

But they also did bHCG and so a bit of good news ladies and hopefully baby dust to u all I got my BFP confirmed by bloods. It's funny as ecstatic as I was, it was not like my first BFP which ended in a MC. So on edge. Completely different symptoms to my first as well, alot of pain around my ovaries and uterus etc. I still have not done a home pregnancy test as my clinic said not to bother but I think I will still do one just to see it with my own eyes.

@facevalue I am on the pessaries too and I am getting pretty much all the horrible side effects. All sorts of symptoms are possible with it unfortunately. Did the headaches start when u started them? It may also be tension headaches with the work stuuf y had but also the whole process. No harm in getting reassurance with the clinic. Xx

@LillyLeaf yeah i was doing all that reading IVF failure and success stories . i found it helpful. however i always find the last few days of 2WW torture and whatever i feel confuses me..
my husband today was about to say something then he suddenly stopped himself.. i insisted he tells me what! he said: i shouldn't even think it but your hands are ice cold even in the heat and that happened when u were pregnant last time , i didn't want to get your hopes up by saying it incase we get bfn 🙄🙄🙄🙄 i guess even men go crazy during the wait ..
