everyone,
I've started a new thread for people starting treatment this month. I'm hoping to make some new friends with people who understand how hard this journey is. Hopefully we can have some fun whilst getting on with the treatment.
This is my first cycle of ivf/icsi so any treatment buddies please say hello.

@facevalue ha I wish I was a drinker and could have a glass for you, maybe a caffeine tea?😆

I know how horrible the scan waiting is. This is all just a series of waiting, 2 week blocks of waiting for everything.

I so desperately want to do a transfer next. But I really need to get into my head that a transfer does not automatically mean a bfp even though both my transfers have.

itwasalovelydreamwhileitlasted · 20/09/2019 08:41

Cycle day 10 for me today and 6 follicles
18mm
17mm
16mm
3 @ 14mm
Was kind of hoping for more but quality was bad on my last cycle so just hope these are better and some make it to PGS
Looks like collection will me Monday for me
X

LillyLeaf · 20/09/2019 09:09

@itwasalovelydreamwhileitlasted absolutely it's quality over quantity. But I know how it feels to want as many as possible when pgs testing. I actually feel sick at the thought of getting my results. Fingers crossed for those growing follicles over the next few days.

FinallytakingtheplungewithIVF · 20/09/2019 09:27

just jumping on to say @itwasalovelydreamwhileitlasted I have my fingers crossed for you, you deserve some luck! Will be lurking to see how you get on xx

itwasalovelydreamwhileitlasted · 20/09/2019 09:33

Thanks @FinallytakingtheplungewithIVF !
Just got to get next week out of the way to see how many get to day 5 and then hoping I can forget about the PGS results for a bit!

When do you do your next transfer? X

itwasalovelydreamwhileitlasted · 20/09/2019 09:33

@LillyLeaf
Do you know when your results will be in? X

LillyLeaf · 20/09/2019 10:01

@itwasalovelydreamwhileitlasted hopefully by next Wednesday, then that will be 2 weeks. How long do you have to wait after biopsy?

itwasalovelydreamwhileitlasted · 20/09/2019 10:06

@LillyLeaf
Apparently it's 3 weeks minimum 😢 also they won't give results over phone only face to face which I think is worse because as soon as I get the phone call saying results are in I'll want to know them not wait for an appointment!

FinallytakingtheplungewithIVF · 20/09/2019 10:40

@itwasalovelydreamwhileitlasted I’m sure you will get some today 5 and hopefully the waiting won’t be too bad!! I had my first scan yesterday and started the progynova this morning! Next scan is next Thursday so if all good then looks like the 2nd of Oct hopefully!

Stacey2007 · 20/09/2019 11:16

Can I please just ask everyone a question, I’ve been on buserelin for 14days but last night when we had sex they was a little bit of spotting, and a little this morning, tomorrow would have been my original due day for my period, is this all normal? I feel like its not been working maybe ? 🙉

facevalue · 20/09/2019 19:57

@stacey2007 i don't understand the question. why don't you email your clinic for them to explain xxx

Stacey2007 · 20/09/2019 20:44

For some strange reason I was under the impression I wouldn’t have a period while I’m on it 🙉

LillyLeaf · 20/09/2019 20:55

@Stacey2007 are you down regging with buserelin?

Stacey2007 · 20/09/2019 21:15

I’m on the long protocol? Is that down regging ? Sorry I sound so silly, I’m still so confused about it all. Too much to take in

LillyLeaf · 20/09/2019 21:19

Did your clinic not go through your protocol with you? When you get your period you'll need a baseline scan before starting stims. I think you need to contact your clinic if you're not sure what you are meant to be doing.

Stacey2007 · 20/09/2019 21:39

I have appointment on Tuesday for a scan, I just can’t remember them mentioning I will have a normal period

LillyLeaf · 20/09/2019 22:08

That's good. It is all bloody confusing. I have to set many alarms for all the different meds.

Vilanelle · 21/09/2019 12:47

I'm 10dpiui and broke and did a test, negative. I know its early but cant help feeling I'm out

LillyLeaf · 21/09/2019 16:06

Oh @Vilanelle I hope not, I don't know much about timings for iui. When is your OTD?

Vilanelle · 21/09/2019 18:01

@LillyLeaf not until 27th so I am early. I also didn't test morning pee. It was about my 3rd. Lol

Maggie272 · 21/09/2019 21:09

@Stacey2007 I did get my period while on buserlin, and I was on the long protocol. I would phone the clinic and ask, just to put your mind at rest. Mine made up a calender for me xxx

Maggie272 · 21/09/2019 21:12

Hi everyone, hope you are all ok xxx

Had my egg collection on Wednesday, 11 eggs, 10 mature, 9 fertilised, and now 5 have made it to day 3 (3 very good, 2 average). Will have 5 day transfer on Monday, and they are hoping for one or two embryos. Just wonder is it normal to have cramping 3/4 days after collection? Did some gentle yoga (they said it was fine, no strenuous exercise), but wonder if the progesterone pessaries are also making me feel crampy and period-y, as my boobs are very sore now too.

@Vilanelle I am keeping my fingers crossed for you xxx

Maggie272 · 21/09/2019 21:14

@Vilanelle - I've had three iuis and my clinic always said ten days is too early to test, you need to wait 14 - 16 days xxx

LillyLeaf · 21/09/2019 21:24

@Maggie272 the progesterone Cyclogest always makes me crampy and feels like my period is coming, it's not very stuff.

Maggie272 · 21/09/2019 21:27

thank you @LillyLeaf! I also find it very messy, but will persevere. Do you find a lot of it leaks out? I have lie down for about thirty minutes in the morning after taking it...
