Having to reply between being shouted at by customers today, so don't mind me replying in individual essays rather than the usual 3 page catch up 😆

@venusstarr you absolutely inspired me! Yes I'm going for the next cycle, around 1st Jan... and I've actually exercised 3 times this week, plus eating healthy meals! (I'm still eating the worst possible constant snacks, hazard of the job, but at least I've nailed 2 out of 3 😋) So annoying about your tests, including that you have to wait until Feb for the results... can you sneakily find out under the pretence of checking they were done?
Actually, terrible idea, you won't know what they mean and then like me you will Google things, and the next thing you know you think you're dying of a rare disease lol 🤣😜🙂

CloudSway · 14/12/2019 09:57

@Anaesthetist83 wow, that is a looong time. I remember you got OHSS, was there anything else that delayed you, or has it taken this long to recover? Everything crossed for you, I hope it's a wonderful Xmas present!

VenusStarr · 14/12/2019 10:57

That's true @CloudSway but we have @BambiOnIce80 who knows her stuff 🧐 😏 I really hope I can redo them and they're back for my fertility consultant appointment which is 14 January, as he might be able to advise.

Another 2.5lbs off which I'm pleased with, came on unexpectedly 5 days early so was a bit worried about water retention. It also means I'll be hitting my fertile week around Christmas eve 🤞

Well done on the gym and healthy eating 👍 hope you don't have too many shouty customers!

CloudSway · 14/12/2019 18:22

@Venusstarr not too many shouting so far, people mostly jolly but sometimes a bit stressy for Xmas... been bloody balmy with shoppers though! Oh yes that @Bambionice80 has to earn her keep 😉 and definitely ask on the 14th. Well done on your 2.5 pounds, you probably have retained water too so it would have been even more! Gives you a little bit of wiggle room over Xmas 👍

@Bambionice80 I was exactly the same, actually super excited to be actively doing something! Also not that you go around telling people, but it feels like a bit of a badge of honour too, like "oh you just had sex? I put needles in myself, I'm so fecking committed, bitch!" (Not quite, but you know what I mean, I hope 😳)
Never seen Punch drunk love, not sure it's making my list with that glowing review lol, the only film of his I do like is the wedding singer 😍 is that something I shouldn't admit?... And yes, Italy on hold, but hopefully only until May IF I get to egg collection and IF we do fet, if if if if.... 🤯

Anaesthetist83 · 14/12/2019 18:27

@CloudSway - thanks for wishing us luck. O waited absolutely ages for my first proper period after my withdrawal and then was a long protocol FET..... so it just took ages. Having said that, I feel really well, so whilst fresh transfer clearly wasn’t an option, I’m definitely in better health. Glad you sound positive about the new year too!

BambiOnIce80 · 14/12/2019 18:46

I definitely get what you mean @CloudSway!! 😂 And thank you for that - you just made me lol!! 🤣😂🤣😂 One of the friends I'm going out with tonight is starting TTC and I bet she's one of the lucky ones who gets pregnant just because she has sex and clearly doesn't have my level of 'dedication' - I'm going to be chuckling to myself everytime I look at her tonight! 😄 I do all the if if ifs too 🙄 Especially around if we'll be fortunate enough to get some frosties ❄ The rest of my ifs revolve around not being able to get pregnant and all the stuff we'll be able to crack on with, so can't wait to get this process over and done with! Patience is not one of my virtues at the moment 😏

I'll certainly help you out with your lupus screen results @VenusStarr 🤓❤️ Not so familiar with the anti-TPO, but I can give it a Google and swat up! 😉 And way to go on the SW - your doing amazing! 💪

CloudSway · 15/12/2019 09:03

@Anaesthetist83 these ivf timetables never go as planned do they?! I think that's a major benefit to freezing, my clinic now aims to freeze because they really rate the importance of being healthy when they transfer! How are you feeling post transfer? Im not sure I'm exactly positive, because honestly I don't think it's going to work with DHs sperm, the odds are so stacked against us. But we both want kids somehow, so I'm keen to crack on and do whatever we want to do, and whatever happens we'll be further forward than we are right now, and that's a good thing!

@Bambionice80 yeah that was my best friend, only started trying because she saw how long it was taking for us, 3 cycles and she caught 🙄 she's someone who is always lucky so I definitely saw that coming, but I am relieved she did because I'm not sure she would have coped with all the ivf madness!!
So what are your ifs around what you want to crack on with if you're unsuccessful, if you don't mind me asking? We've got a short term list of stuff to do while(if) we keep failing (Which basically consists of going on holiday🏖, getting a dog🐶 and hitting our bucket lists⚰) then a long term list for when (if) we get sick of trying various options and decide to buy somewhere abroad🌍 and I can actually do the job I always wanted to do🎥, or do the MA I turned down🎞, or numb the pain with an expensive drug addiction💰💉💊🤪 or whatever.... if if if 🤣🤣

BambiOnIce80 · 16/12/2019 10:40

My ifs are pretty vanilla @CloudSway 😄 They entirely centre around making our home our castle (we've done both bathrooms and the kitchen and I'm desperate to rip out the living room and start again but, you know, need to have the readies to do it 🤑🤑🤑) and going on ridiculous holidays! 😎 We'd love to do a 3 week wine tour of Chile and Argentina, so not the most child friendly of holidays! 😂 We'd also agreed to get a kitten when IVF failed, but I managed to push that one through already 😼😁

Is it film that you're interested in doing on your if list? Sounds super interesting! 🤩

GreyC · 19/12/2019 18:05

Hope we are all ok

VenusStarr · 21/12/2019 10:07

Hi @GreyC I'm keeping my head down, I'm OK but feeling fragile. Sticking with slimming world, 9.5lbs off now, slimmer of the week today ☺️ it's nice not to only think about fertility. I can control this...

Hope everyone is OK xxx

GreyC · 21/12/2019 12:02

BambiOnIce80 · 24/12/2019 17:39

Merry Christmas ladies! 🎄💖🎄💖

... Don't think mine will be excessively merry, with it being a dry one and what not, but we will do our best! 🍸🚫😏 Starting off with Mark Gattis' Christmas ghost story tonight (I do love a Christmas ghost story! ⛄👻).

2 more pills to go for me and then it's the buserelin jabs from Friday to the 2nd when I've got my down-reg scan to see if all is well to begin the stims jabs... Watch this space 😉

CloudSway · 25/12/2019 08:23

Merry Christmas everyone!
I'm delighted to be back on 10 hour work days instead of 14, so Xmas is always a celebration for me lol.

It can be a tough time though, so everyone cling to your nearest and dearest if you need to, and I hope you all enjoy your day. Calories don't count today ladies! 🐖😆 xx

Thinking of you especially @Anaesthetist83, I hope everything goes your way today xx

Anaesthetist83 · 25/12/2019 08:34

Thank you @CloudSway. We are very lucky to have the best Xmas present we could wish for. Quiet celebrations planned. Difficult to get excited but after a rough year, we are relieved to end it with a glimmer of hope.

Thinking of you all today - appreciate for some it will be a difficult time. Let’s hope 2020 is fab for all of us xxx

squirrelnutkins1 · 25/12/2019 11:12

@Anaesthetist83 Congratulations! I'm so pleased for you, it was a hell of a run up for you. I'm sure it will take a while before you feel more secure about it, but what a great present 🤗 x

Hope everyone had a lovely Xmas! Have certainly eaten and drank to much and am feeling bleh need to get back to the gym and routine back to work on Thursday can’t believe how fast the time has gone! Is any one making any New Years resolutions?

CloudSway · 30/12/2019 21:39

@FinallytakingtheplungewithIVF Christmas was nice thanks, how was yours? I need to do some gymming too, managed to shift half a stone before Xmas but put some back on, so still nowhere near pre-IVF weight! But chocolate orange just tastes sooo goood 😋

No resolutions for me really, just need to crack on with my bucket list as I feel like I've started putting everything on hold again and it's getting me down a bit. I know i can't climb the 3 peaks, but I also want to learn how to do a French plait which is possible lol.

Hope everyone is in a good place and happy new year in advance! As @squirrelnutkins1 said, this group has meant so much to me over this year and I'm really grateful to you all ❤

Any updates from anyone? @BambiOnIce80 How have the jabs been these last few days?

BambiOnIce80 · 31/12/2019 07:57

No resolutions planned at this end @FinallytakingtheplungewithIVF , but I'm looking forward to 2020 being the year that I get on with my life either with a bambino or without 🔮 Very glad to hear you had a lovely Christmas 😊

@CloudSway I'm doing alright thanks lovely 🙂 Day 5 of buserelin today, the injections are going alright, AF has been here since Saturday and our first down reg scan is on Thursday 👍🏻 I'm pretty much assuming that my lining won't be thin enough after only 7 days on buserelin, but it'd be nice to be wrong! 😄 How long until you're due to start again? On the learning to do a French plait front - totally doable 😉 I learnt to do both the French and Dutch ones in my early 30's and I never thought I would (I was such a tomboy as a kid)... pleasantly surprised myself there! 😂

Wishing you lovely lot a 2020 filled with happiness, whatever it may bring 🍀

FinallytakingtheplungewithIVF · 31/12/2019 10:28

@CloudSway we had a lovely Christmas thank you! Wow well done you I’m really struggling to lose weight even though was at the gym 3 times a week! I managed to lose 2lb before we went away and then put 5lb on that weekend luckily I managed no more then that over Christmas and only 2lb to go before I’m back to where I was! I’m not normally obsessed with weight lose but am struggling with how much ivf has made me put on and how I can’t get it back off! I do love a chocolate orange!!
I don’t normally do any as I never stick to them!

@BambiOnIce80 I think that sounds like a good take to have on life! Think I’m at the point where I’m ready to do another FET but not sure dh is as keen with us having a few big hols this year but I’m of the mindset I’m 35 and he going to be 40 so we should crack on as if that one doesn’t work we really need to have a big think on what we would do!

Hope everyone has a lovely new year tonight what ever you are doing and will see you on the other side for more laughs, tears and what ever else brings us in 2020 xx
