Urgh. Hope you get to go down soon @VenusStarr

I'm back on the ward now, had a lovely cuppa and a biscuit ☺️ feeling a bit groggy and dizzy but that might be the oramorph they gave me 😏 also didn't realise they'd give me a suppository! 😳😶
So, I've had a polyp removed... No sign of any fibroids! That's being sent off for tests. Confirmed my uterus is arcuate. I hope that's it now and we can just crack on in the new year.
Just had my cannula lid fall off, blood everywhere!! Hopefully my dh is on his way here and I can go home in a couple of hours xx

squirrelnutkins1 · 04/12/2019 17:33

@VenusStarr glad you're ok 😊 let's hope the polyp was to blame and things now fall into place 🙏🏻💕❤️

@VenusStarr glad it went well xx

VenusStarr · 05/12/2019 09:29

Hi everyone 👋 thank you all for your messages yesterday @squirrelnutkins1 @BambiOnIce80 @FinallytakingtheplungewithIVF @2fingers22018 @GreyC it meant a lot ☺️

Feeling a bit achey and twingey but I actually think my hsg the day after was worse! Just feeling shattered but that's the GA isn't it?

I felt quite hopeful last night that things are on the up. I had a Google about polyps and once they're removed the impact on fertility and pregnancy rates does improve quite a lot. Still a long way to go but feeling a bit more positive isn't a bad thing ☺️

How are things with you all? Xxx

squirrelnutkins1 · 05/12/2019 13:35

So glad you're ok and feeling positive 😊💪🏻 xx

CloudSway · 05/12/2019 22:43

@venusstarr Been thinking of you, how did it go in the end? I'm sorry you've been so anxious, everything crossed that it's the start of a new chapter for you, let us know when you can xx and if it helps, I've done a stone in 2 months 😂 unbelievable, I'll get on the sw diet with u!

@greyC so sorry you've been feeling down. It's sort of good your cyst isn't too big I suppose.. cysts so often go away on their own (mine did) so I'm sure you'll be back to normal play as you say, I certainly hope so lovely xx

@finallytakingtheplungewithivf Its so good to hear from you, I can imagine it must take a while to work through everything you've been through, and in such a short time too, glad you've got a bit of Christmas magic going on 😁🌲

@Bambionice80 Wtf is wrong with the 🔔🔚 you work with 🤬 ooo that is super exciting, you are going to start the year with a bang! So have you had your period? (Sometimes I can't believe what this whole journey does to you, never thought I'd be super invested in whether people who's names I don't know have had their period or not! 😆🙈)
Turin recommendations possibly not needed though becaaauuuse...

I can start round 2 short protocol from my next period, expected around 1st Jan, and my work leave is 4th Jan. I know it's ridiculous but my first reaction was gutted! 😬😳 I feel ungrateful, but I was just so excited for that holiday, and only today my body started to feel back to normal. Okay, well normal + a stone 😒. Genuinely not sure I can get my head round going again so soon after 47 days of injections and feeling crappy. Plus it will be so crazy at work with sales, and I haven't even had a proper period, just a day of spotting. So DH and I are discussing, we might put it off until the following cycle... but that feels so against the grain 😩🤯

CloudSway · 05/12/2019 22:57

Oh crap, missed the most recent page entirely. Glad it went okay @venusstarr glad you are feeling positive 😁🤗

Also good to hear from you @squirrelnutkins1 and @2fingers22018, hope you are both doing good 🙂

FinallytakingtheplungewithIVF · 06/12/2019 09:38

@CloudSway thanks 😊 it’s nice to start feeling normal again!! Yes I have decided to fully embrace the Xmas cheer this year it’s been a tough year and we deserve it!

My advice to you is do what feels right for you I know it might feel like going against the grain if you hold off a month bit if that’s what you need to do then do it? If you want to go again then do it there is no right or wrong it’s your body you have to do what’s right xx

VenusStarr · 06/12/2019 13:14

Good to hear from you @CloudSway ☺️ I think listen to your gut, taking a break until your next cycle sounds like it might be preferable. I know it feels like it's going against everything but taking some time out can be helpful too ❤️
Feeling a bit more in control following slimming world, first weigh in tomorrow 🤞
I've emailed my rmc consultant about the polyp, just to get his opinion as I'm strongly feeling like it would have impacted on the baby's growth. Still no sign of my blood results, but I'm feeling OK today. Hope it lasts.

Good to hear you're getting on the festive spirit @FinallytakingtheplungewithIVF, I'm tempted to put our tree up this weekend... 🎄

BambiOnIce80 · 06/12/2019 14:44

AF did indeed rock up yesterday night @CloudSway , so rang the clinic this morning and our appointment is on Tuesday morning to get this show on the road 🥚🎈💉 Feeling a lot better now that we have a proper date to start and I've also told my boss what's going on. As I've said before, I was dreading it, but he was excellent 😪 I nearly cried (felt like a right tit!) because I was worried about logistics and not wanting anyone else I work with knowing what's going on (especially the bastarding nightmare 😖) and he said I can work from home whenever I need to, regardless of whether it clashes with the nightmare being off or not. I said I knew the nightmare would kick off about that and he said it's no one else's business and he'll deal with them because I needed to keep my stress levels down during IVF! 😮 It really couldn't have gone better! 😊

That's a lot to process, isn't it? Start in less than a month and sacrifice the relaxing, recuperating holiday or have the relaxing holiday, recuperate a bit and start at the beginning of February (presumably?) 🤔 As you say our inner need says "do it now now now!!", but is that actually what's best for your body and mind? Plenty to talk through with your DH this weekend over plenty of wine, obvs. My DP will still line up those Turin recommendations, just in case 😉

Hope everyone's got a lovely weekend ahead of them 🎄❤️

VenusStarr · 06/12/2019 19:28

Great news @BambiOnIce80!! Your boss sounds awesome. Exciting that you've not got long to wait now.

Feeling like I'm ovulating but I know I did over the weekend so must just be things settling from the op.

Hope everyone has a good weekend ☺️❤️

GreyC · 07/12/2019 13:22

My period arrived today; which I’m not surprised as there really isn’t much of a chance of a natural pregnancy after several years; failed ivf etc but every month I still do hold a little light - that one miracle. But not meant to be this month.
I’m just impatient in the waiting game I think. So many people have been pregnant and now have their babies. Having a year or so out is definitely what we want so we can save money; and treat ourselves abit but as we know adoption is our next step I’m getting InPatient!

How are you @squirrelnutkins1? Everything going ok? @2fingers22018
Thanks @CloudSway I’m hoping it does go (or has gone!)

I’m with you guys on slimming world. Pre ivf I had lost a stone and now post its back on and I feel eurgh! I just don’t feel myself; going to indulge in Christmas then back to afterwards.

Had some non baby related test results back today aswell due to some possible family genetics and got the all clear so I can start doing more Intense exercise again now and not worry about over doing it :)

squirrelnutkins1 · 07/12/2019 13:55

Sorry af arrived. It's exciting having a plan in place tho 😊
I'm ok thanks. Feeling terrified and crampy, scared of every pain but trying to keep positive. @GreyC

I'm glad your boss has been so awesome 😊 @BambiOnIce80

How's your recovery going? @VenusStarr x

OP posts:
VenusStarr · 08/12/2019 09:02

Good news about the tests being clear @GreyC. I'm sorry that af arrived, I think it's normal to feel disappointed 💜 I can definitely relate to that inpatient feeling, even when you know it's the right decision, it's really bloody hard!!

Recovery is slow @squirrelnutkins1 I thought I'd got away with it being OK but these last few days I'm very crampy and bleeding. Dh says I've slipped into negativity again as I had been quite positive after the operation.
How's things with you?

In other news, I've completed week one at slimming world and lost 4lbs! So definitely keeping it up. Its nice to have something else to focus on. I'm even looking forward to getting back to the gym when I'm fully recovered ☺️

GreyC · 08/12/2019 21:05

@VenusStarr that’s awesome! Well done you!! I’m currently eating half my advent calendar haha 🙈🙈 have a good week everyone

CloudSway · 10/12/2019 08:13

@greyC haha I forgot to start my calendar, opened it last night and got carried away, ate up until 13th lol 🐖 I know you won't be doing anything yet as you are saving, but what's the first step to adoption? I really know nothing about it, but it's definitely something DH and I will be chatting about after we've used up his frozen - I assume there's a fee, and that's why you're saving?

@venusstarr amazing, well done on the slimming world, and around Christmas too! You have inspired me to go to the gym for the first time since I started last round. Even if I did then reward myself with most of my advent calendar 🤣 you are doing so well, I hope this helps to focus you, and you'll be well enough for the gym before you know it. You should be super proud that you have chosen to react even when you aren't feign great, that's proper dedication 🙂

@BambiOnIce80 your boss is effing brilliant!! You must feel 1000x better knowing they have your back. And won't it be nice in a twisted sort of way to know you can be off at the same time as Mega Bitch and she'll be outraged but won't know why?... no?... Oh just me then 😈😜

I have literally changed my mind every day on whether to go for my next period or the one after. But today I feel super positive and like I want to have a family so why am I putting it off? I'm going to feel a bit pants so why not get it over with sooner rather than later. Plus I'm nervous about Brexit - the nurse did tell me they were stock piling medicines and that mine will not go up in price because I've already paid, but if it has an impact I'm better off starting asap. (Not trying to start a political discussion btw, get enough of that at work!)

This change of heart was brought to you by some dodgy old Adam Sandler film called Click 🤣🤣🤣 we watched it last night and I was like 'I want his family! I can control my life!" DH thought I was having a crisis I think, he said 'Okay... um I thought you hated Adam Sandler'. Men are so deep lol x

GreyC · 10/12/2019 19:32

Hey @CloudSway not sure about a fee - I know you have to pay for Medicals etc to say you are fit to adopt. We are saving mainly so when the times right and we go for it; we have money saved up so when they check the finances they are happy with them mainly as we will have paid credit cards off etc. Hopefully this time next year - first step is to give them a call and book on a information evening and after that you have forms to fill etc I believe. Very exciting times & i am so impatient for it.

VenusStarr · 12/12/2019 18:12

Hey, how is everyone? Not a good day, found out the hospital have lost my recurrent miscarriage blood tests - they can't be sure they were even taken. I've been waiting 7 weeks for the results 😡 hoping the firms come through and I can go early next week to re-do them. Just feels like everything is against us 😔

@BambiOnIce80 how are you, have you started? Hope all is going well 🤞

That's really exciting @GreyC I can see why you're impatient! Do you know when you're going to book the open evening? My friend adopted a little girl, the preceeding process was quite long but once they were matched everything happened super quickly ☺️

Glad I inspired you @CloudSway does that mean you're going for it sooner? Exciting! Really hoping the new year brings positive news for us all 🎉❤️

Anaesthetist83 · 12/12/2019 18:33

That’s annoying @VenusStarr - providing they were processed, results are always digital so can’t really be lost.

Our news here is that we finally have a day 5 embryo on board. Started this cycle on the 21st July.... test day is Xmas day.

BambiOnIce80 · 13/12/2019 07:43

I'm so sorry they lost your bloods @VenusStarr! 😞 I'm not surprised you're angry! If it's any consolation, a lupus screen (something they check for in RMC) doesn't take anywhere near 6 weeks to process, so I'd probably ring about it 2 weeks after you've had it taken to make sure your bloods got to the lab this time because I'm a control freak! x

That's very exciting news @Anaesthetist83! 🤩 Sending positive vibes to you for good news on Christmas day 🍀🤞🍀🤞

Sounds like you've got a firm plan in place now @CloudSway - and thanks to Adam Sandler too! 😂 I can't stand the guy either! 🤣 I swore I'd never watch another one of his films after I went to see 'punch drunk love'... that's 45 minutes of my life that I'll never get back! 💩💩💩 Does that mean Italy is on hold?

Things are feeling pretty calm at my end. I started microgynon on Tuesday and start buserelin on the 27th 💉 Scan on the 2nd and then we take it from there 🤞 Oddly looking forward to starting the jabs because I don't really feel like I'm doing much at the moment! 😄

VenusStarr · 13/12/2019 08:10

That's exciting @Anaesthetist83 glad you have your emby on board 🤞

Thanks @BambiOnIce80 this is what I'm missing... I said I was disappointed and the doctor (surprised they replied directly) said that they wither weren't done or got lost 🙄 they don't plan on telling me the results until my appointment at the end of February... 😔
I'm pleased you've started, sounds like think will start to ramp up soon 🤞 keep us posted xx
